Putted my 5600G on 1.25V and runs perfectly! Yes, stock frequencies and turbo boost, but at least I removed around 10 degrees C while gaming. Before I had like 65 66 degrees C on a STOCK COOLER. YES, stock cooler. When I applied 1.25V, temps dropped to like 55 or maybe even less, especially if the game is less demanding. And also with that same voltage I could get 5600G to run 4.4GHz all cores without any issues and yet still having less temps while gaming

An alternative method is to use throttlestop to undervolt rather than bios. It's altered through software and you can lower your voltage on the fly and while in windows. In fact, throttlestop would make a great subject for a video, it really is a very powerful piece of software. For example, you can have up to four profiles in which all the settings are different. It can be used to undervolt, overclock etc etc, all within the windows environment...
Yo thank you so much bro. My CPU cooled down by about 7-10 degrees Celsius. I went from around 68 Celsius, to 58 Celsius in Fortnite. My CPU also cooled down in other games as well, and browsing and stuff like that in general. I lost just a little bit of performance, but it is pretty unnoticeable. Thank you man. 🙏
Are you sure that A series systems cannot be undervolted? Because I have an A520M S2H Gigabyte motherboard, and a Ryzen 5 4500, which I undervolted by -140 millivolts in the BIOS and the temperatures went from over 90 degrees in the cinebench r23 multicore test to just above 80 degrees, with minor gains in the pts score.

I have a GIGABYTE B550 mobo with a Ryzen 7 and couldn't enter a negative offset for CPU Vcore. I have definitely noticed lower temperatures as well, dropping from 83.1°C at Auto voltage down to around 66.5°C. (My cooler is a Zoomflow 240X from ID-Cooling.) However, when the voltage is too low, it seems to interfere with PBO, causing my Core Utility to drop from 114% to 106%. This also results in a lower Cinebench score, going from around 10320 to 9632. @@Silanol Hey man, Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) is a feature that allows the processor to dynamically adjust its clock speeds and voltage to achieve higher performance under certain conditions. It's a form of automatic overclocking that takes advantage of thermal and power headroom to push the processor beyond its base clock speeds. But before we move forward, what's your motherboard manufacturer? I only have an Asus B450-F motherboard, so if your motherboard is from a different manufacturer, I might not know how to enable PBO. Though, I can still try and help you if you'd like. Let me know.😊
@@RAWDOG963 Sorry for the late reply, bro. Are you overclocking your CPU or undervolting it? I've tried manually overclocking my CPU, but it keeps throwing out errors from the 3rd physical core in OCCT. So I just tried undervolting instead of overclocking instead.

Do you think limiting CPU freq. or lower proc.power.state to 95-90-80% etc. when also using Gigabyte Control Center(Power Saving Mode/Perform.Mode etc.) can cause incompatibilty? I am with Ryzen 5 5600H Laptop and I had a lot of freezes in win 11 when I started tweaking those stuff. Now I preinstailled win 10 and I got a freeze again, and the only thing I did was change stuff in power settings - set a 3300mhz limit and lower power.proc.state to 95%; Is it possible that the CPU needs that power and temp and freezes, because I limit it?
wait, I am confused. Many Videos showed how to UV by enabling PBO Advanced, set it to all cores and then go -20. While you just changed the Dynamic VCore?
Hey man i have used a couple of your videos for apex and it works great but do you know what could be causing the “starvation” lag symbol that i’m getting? usually the game stutters when that happens
my cpu temp under a similar load (two instances of thinkorswim and rewatching this youtube video) actually showed a roughly 10-20 degree temperature INCREASE... why would this be happening?
I was able to go to -0.125 V and after that my pc didnt started so resetted by taking out the cell and i didnt noticed any difference in power consumption or temps it was all the same man

Great video. Was hoping this had the answers I needed but I can't for the life of me find the undervolt settings on a Asrock B550 Extreme4. I've been looking for so long. I'm thinking it might be because I have the Ryzen 7 5800x3d.
Yes, that is why. I made this same mistake when I got a 5800x3d. I was in BIOS looking for PBO and Curve Optimizer which I always changed on my 5800X, and I couldn't find them. I couldn't understand why I couldn't find them after using them so much. Then one day just setting at my PC I felt like an idiot when it occurred to me the reason I couldn't find them was because they aren't in the BIOS at all with the 5800x3D.
Can someone help me please. I have an amd rx 6650m 8 gb graphics card. Whenever I play a heavy game like rdr2 my laptop works fine but when I close the game my device freezes.

Don't worry mate, happens to a lot of us. Even with no overheating it is best to undervolt to reduce power, temperatures and overall bgive the CPU a longer lifespan
I'd say to clean out the dust in the laptop as well as undervolt til instability, I went from thermal throttling in every game to about 90c on my 10750h
That’s not a bad thing, you should be proud of yourself. You did a better job at keeping everything stable unlike the manufacturers. 90 percent of gamers are in the same boat. We all get high temps without a bunch of crazy settings.
This is a terrible undervolting guide for ryzen…. You should enable pbo and get everything set up and performing THEN run curve optimiser in ryzen master per core. Job done
I hate hate using cinebench as a test for stability. It is a benchmark and good to see if there are any performance gains but a terrible test for stability. I can be cinebench stable for hours with a -30 Curve Optimizer setting but Prime95 will instantly error out and the system will have rare crashes at different usage scenarios.

I found my CPU's sweet spot around -0.02500V. Anything lower than -0.03125V causes a significant drop in Core Utility.
My suggestion would be not to try to go as low as possible but to find your CPU's sweet spot for optimal performance.
I crash whenever I go higher than 4100 mhz
@@RAWDOG963 What's your CPU? Have you changed anything in your BIOS?
@@jarbeefis yes i changed alot but it was all from yt so nothing that's not supposed to be changed. my cpu is ryzen 5 5600x
Yoo love ur vids can I request a bideo about windows pushing old amd drivers overwriting the new ones after update
Help i have a biostar b450m motherboard running on a uefi bios and there is no setting to change the voltage only the core clock and core ratio. the only voltage i can change is the memory. cant find anything related to vid or voltage tweakers
Do you think limiting CPU freq. or lower proc.power.state to 95-90-80% etc. when also using Gigabyte Control Center(Power Saving Mode/Perform.Mode etc.)
can cause incompatibilty? I am with Ryzen 5 5600H Laptop and I had a lot of freezes in win 11 when I started tweaking those stuff. Now I preinstailled win 10 and I got a freeze again, and the only thing I did was change stuff in power settings - set a 3300mhz limit and lower power.proc.state to 95%; Is it possible that the CPU needs that power and temp and freezes, because I limit it?
make sure your minimum process state is at the right setting i keep mine at 5 percent on desktop
just upgraded to a ryzen 7 5700x yesterday this is perfect timing
which cpu are you using i wanna do that on a ryzen 5 5600 g but i want the same wattage as you
wait, I am confused. Many Videos showed how to UV by enabling PBO Advanced, set it to all cores and then go -20.
While you just changed the Dynamic VCore?
What should I do, this or go in ryzen master??
@@mkeefe4248
i did it in UEFI/BIOS. I don't use Ryzn Master.
@@mkeefe4248
i didn't do like in this video. I did it with PBO and set per Core. I don't use Ryzen Master
Mine just says "System product name" under system model? I have a amd ryzen 9 5900x 12-core
Hey man i have used a couple of your videos for apex and it works great but do you know what could be causing the “starvation” lag symbol that i’m getting? usually the game stutters when that happens
Do u set pbo on?
What is that overlay you are using to monitor the specs in game?
msi afterburner watch a setup guide
Hi can you make an other video on same topic for laptop users amd/intel please
can u make a video witha strix or crosshair motherboard plz. am a pc beginner and would love to just copy paste the same values
Is there any reason messing around with the SOC undervolt? Or is it just not worth it and leave it be?
Do you have a undervolt for gpu
OMG TYSM I WENT FROM 275fps to 295 fps and I have smoother gameplay and less input delay and I can still do more!
my cpu temp under a similar load (two instances of thinkorswim and rewatching this youtube video) actually showed a roughly 10-20 degree temperature INCREASE... why would this be happening?
Does this apply to mobile cpu as well? Like the Ryzen 7 7840 HS?
I was able to go to -0.125 V and after that my pc didnt started so resetted by taking out the cell and i didnt noticed any difference in power consumption or temps
it was all the same man
It would be nice for you to do this sort of thing with Linux. Any distro will do. Thanks
dude. i need help. im getting 23 ms on a 1ms monitor 2070 gpu and a ryzen 7 3800... ive been losing hair for at least a year trying to lower it. put new vram and ssd cards and still such a bad gaming experience. i get a better gameplay on a ps4....
Does this work with laptop cpu's ?
Does this work on 5800x3D on a B550?
This is very hard to follow on an msi motherboard tbh.
Is it better to use pbo and undervolting or manual OC with pbo off ??
Hey just a question does this work on apus such as the 5600g? Thanks
Can someone help me please. I have an amd rx 6650m 8 gb graphics card. Whenever I play a heavy game like rdr2 my laptop works fine but when I close the game my device freezes.
This can work on Intel CPUs as well right? , because i have an F series and i can't use XTU unfortunately.
if you have bad thermal check airflow first repasting cpu and add some cooling pads on your drm's if you have don't
is it wise to do this if I have PBO enabled?
does anyone know what the best settings are for amd ryzen 7 7700x for stability and same performance
can this damg cpu ? i try -0.167 my idle temp is only 33-35 , while playing horizon 5 max setting i only got 45 max temp
ive managed to get -0.13000 then stopped as i got scared lol my temps are down by about 15 20c it used to throttle at 90 c and my mhz seem to be going up but the cinebench 2024 score has lowered by about 100 is this normal? original score without undervolt 845 then after undervoilting to where i am now its scores around 770 780 should it be going back up? i have a 5800x3d
Hi @Panjno i was wondering if you could make a video on how to clean or check our PC from any malware or viruses? Like actually get rid or find them in our PC. Thank you in advance!
Should i turn off PBO first before undervolting?. My cpu is ryzen 5 3600 and auros b550m please do make video like this
Keep PBO enabled.
what if it says system product name instead?
pls make a video for ThrottleStop
Should it work on 5800X3D and ASUS TUF x570? :)
the more higher negative i am going with the voltage, the temps and power drawn are getting lower and the performance is similar in apex legends but in cinebench my score is going down. is this okay ?]
maybe too much undervolt?
I can't seep to follow, i checked for my motherboard and it says Strongbow_PK even though i have a ryzen cpu. anyone can help?
Great video, only downside is that it only helped me figure out that my laptop is and always will be overheating without a temperature limiter :/
I have a 420mm radiator with high end pumps-reservoir and water block. Do I really need undervolt if I can keep the temps down without undervolting?
No
lol but imagine the crazy low temps you would get bro without losing fps
Undervolting ryzen 5 5600h works with this method right?
will i get the same results with the ryzen 5 5600g
There’s no core voltage setting on my ASUS bios and I have no idea why, can anyone help?
In the end got best results using a static 1.20v all core 4.8ghz on a 5800x (b2). Temps remain below 80c on air cooling during cinebench.
is it recomended for my old 2700x?
This is a terrible undervolting guide for ryzen…. You should enable pbo and get everything set up and performing THEN run curve optimiser in ryzen master per core. Job done
you make a video then?
@@cal7281 he just explained the whole operation tho ❤
If you can get Ryzen master to work that is.
How do you know what settings to use in PBO?
Please make a video, or share one who already did it
I hate hate using cinebench as a test for stability. It is a benchmark and good to see if there are any performance gains but a terrible test for stability. I can be cinebench stable for hours with a -30 Curve Optimizer setting but Prime95 will instantly error out and the system will have rare crashes at different usage scenarios.
What’s your fps in warzone 2.0? I’ve been having massive fps drops.
same ... i got 5800X3D too , like he does on B450 Steel Legend
Hiii idk if ull see this comment but if u do pls help me....
I have a decent laptopin which i can play games like valo/genshin at very good fps ... while playing valorant i have 200+ fps for 15 minutes after the game started after some rounds my fps goes to 1-2 fps and then goes back to 60 and starts to stutter
Do a updated escape from tarkov FPS boost video please
Can I do the same with ryzen 5 3600. Thanks in advance.
my ryzen 5600x tempature is 88 celcious is that fine or is it gonna go kaboom
Undervolt with pbo2 is almost the same, idk why you didn't include it in this video... Plus 1-2 minutes...
Can I undervolt the NB/SOC voltage in the same values of the VCORE coltage?
Running an i5 10400f
Could safely reach -0.085 without any problems at all.
But I keep testing & studying my weirdo results I'm getting in Cinebench.
Got the best score with -0.050
2nd best score is -0.075
Then comes the worst score of -0.085.
Stock score without undervolting (repeated 3 times for all tests, its a multi-core test) : 7931, 7926, 7915 (max temp 75 stock cooler)
-0.050: 8001, 7986, 7998 (max temp 71)
-0.075: 7955, 7987, 7999 (max temp 69)
-0.085: 7943, 7920, 7958 (max temp 68)
Tried to sub and like but I'm getting an error saying "resource has been exhausted" 😢 keep up the amazing vids dude
How to undervolt graphics card.. My rtx 3060 takes alot of watts, pls make a video of it
Can you do settings for season 16 apex legends
Hey, any chance you can refresh that borderlands 3 file? The google drive link expired long ago.
I want to cap the FPS of my games. Should I do it through AMD's software or the in-game settings? Will capping FPS through AMD's software cause input lag?
Im cap fps only with rivatuner, no inputlag.
capping ingame usually causes the least amount of input lag but often the in built limiters are bad. then use radeon chill or rtss, does not matter
CAP FRAMES ON GEFORCE SETTINGS
I have completely different bios couldn't find any of those settings :/
meanwhile... undervolting athlon 3000g with zen cores ....wth y my pc run like from early 2000
does this also work on the 5800x3d i wonder?
when are we getting the mw2 Video im patiently waiting man
