Never got that, I am so scared of just tryiing an ollie at extremely low speed. But, I'll bomb anything on a skateboard, shortboard or longboard. Doesn't matter. I will go faster than you, but I will not do some fancy tricks xD

I thought safety gear wasnt that cool as well, in my case mountainbiking. Now I‘m paralyzed from my waist down cause I didnt wear my back protection. So wear your safety gear kids!

it was not just steep and long, but really crusty too.

This part is still incredible after so many views. While many in skateboarding are too afraid of the backlash of putting on a helmet to protect their brains while they skate, this guy wears one and goes absolutely massive. I have so much respect for him and his skating. It's refreshing to see this. Less fashion, more thrashin'.

1:05 is the gnarliest trick in this IMO, I mean look at those cracks, he had to maneuver his way around to the other side of the street to avoid the cracks. Nuge also bombed this and in his my war video he goes into detail about how bad it is.
That effortless gap at 2:30 was so clean.

Love the hill bombs and the general idea that vert is potentially making a comeback. Megaramps are a mixed blessing. There are so few of them that kids aren’t getting time to practice on them.

Spotted Louisville's park right away! And be sure to check out pictures of that ramp he does the big spin back lip on. The hole is cool, but it's also over vert and has pool coping, not metal. That trick is gnarly as hell!

Wow I haven't been to that park since right after it opened ages ago. I remember Hawk was at the opening. Didn't realize it had gotten that tagged over the years.

recently lost a friend who got severe brain damage from hill bombing without helmet. he fought for one year to recover but died in the end.

I'm 100% down with the helmet. I also think he should probably have worn motorcycle gear in a lot of these clips, because road rash at that speed would be a lot more than superficial wounds... it would be exposed bone requiring surgery to prevent devastating infection/amputation. (I am a physician and skateboarding fan with a lot of trauma experience)
