2024: Next Generation Leadership for Black Child and Family Well-being

- Child Trends held a webinar on next generation leadership for Black child and family wellbeing. Creating twenty-first century communities where Black children, youth, and families can flourish requires strong agents for social change. Child Trends brought together a dynamic panel of 30 and under leaders who are engaged in community-based activism with implications for dismantling systemic racism. Panelists included emerging leaders focused on a range of issues-including adolescent mental health, maternal and infant health, housing justice, and community development, organizing, and safety-who discussed their efforts to create communities of promise and hope for Black children and families.
Panelists for the event are:

• Zonnie Thompson, Housing Justice Project Coordinator at Reinvent South Stockton
• Rachel Warren, Coordinator of the Reimagine Black Youth Mental Health Initiative
