Technically yes, the rest of the hand/mouse and the pinky both move when micro-adjusting. It's not a conscious effort though.

Your technique is just what I needed but I need help before that.
I hold my mouse a bit tilted to the left like this \, is it ok. I use a g102 ambidextrous mouse . My swipes from left to right are not straight x axis but a bit skewed. If I hold my mouse straight like | then my pinky hurts and I have half range for finger control with claw grip but I can precise swipe left to right.

you should install the Raw Accel program to be able to rotate your mouse sensor output, you can keep your grip and have the even left to right swipes
