People will, for instance, place a hidden camera where a women can be inappropriately exposed, record it, and then they will upload it on sites for people to watch for their own satisfaction and pleasure. It’s disgusting, but luckily it is a problem that people are trying to prevent and fix as well.

Oh boy, when they asked what kind of troubles a woman could go through while in a public bathroom: - yes, skirts and dresses - when you have little children and help them do their business - if the hanger is broken, you are forced to wear your bag and jacket, twisting in weird positions while squatting so that your butt and thighs don’t touch the toilet (not all of us have strong thighs unfortunately...) - on top of number 3 if you have a coat instead of a short jacket you have to hike it up, hold it along your bag trying not to let it sway, get wet or touch anything dirty - we almost never have toilet paper or sanitizer (to clean the seat, bless the public bathrooms where it is installed) in the stalls so we have to remember to at least have one pack of tissue paper in our bags - wonder why we take sooooo long at a public restroom? Cause of all the above reasons, plus, imagine trying to change you pad or tampon while so much is going on and there’s at least 10 women praying for you to make it quick - many women are quite unmannered and leave the stall dirty after they’ve used it. Bet they don’t do that sht at home... Last but not least, at some point in all women’s lives we’ve had a feeling of anxiety going to a public restroom because you never know if there are hidden cameras recording you... we’ve all lifted our heads up and looked at the ceiling, through weird cracks an fixtures. Nowadays cameras are so small they can be easily installed anywhere

As a woman, "uncomfortable" is sadly one of the main feels (not touching the can of worms that is the vulnerability that comes with it too). What nowadays can be a choice for men (to use makeup, wear skirt/dresses in certain cultures, use heels, wax etc) it's a "norm" for us. We had to learn to put up with the discomfort and seeing men struggle with what is a daily thing for us is a bit eye opening. Also, glad that this video wasn't just meant as funny experience but also tackled the issue about the hidden cameras.
So first of all i don’t wanna sound rude or anything but that’s not really the case. All the above mentioned as “choices” for men aren’t really. It’s seen as really taboo and most can get even attacked for such things in many parts of the world. Eg wearing make up, heels and dresses can easily be seen as gay by many people (which there’s nothing wring with homosexuality) but there’s still many who don’t accept it and it many times results to bullying or even violence. As for girls, tho the same things are seen as a “norm” I would argue it’s not something most of society forces on you. You will not get attacked or bullied on the street for wearing pants, flats and no make up as a girl. So I wouldn’t really condone your comment as accurate

While the western world has mostly become accustomed to women wearing what they want freely, some countries don’t have that privilege yet

@@georgeoust I think you are mixing two separate things? I'm talking about choices, not the stigma that some things have on men. While growing up I, as well as other women, was constantly bombarded with the idea that if I didn't follow the "beauty norms" (hourglass figure, thin, immaculate skin created by the illusion of makeup, dresses/skirts, heels etc) then I wasn't a good enough woman. As far as I am concerned, all those "rules" were NEVER applied to the men that I grew up with. That's why I purposely used the word "choices". These men, regardless of their orientation/identity/intention, do have the real choice of using or not makeup and wearing or not clothes that are traditionally considered feminine in my country....because they simply want to. They did not grow up thinking that those things were an essential part of them "being men". I am not saying that society doesn't have bs standards for men too, but here and now I'm talking about what society imposes to women. Also, whether those choices are taboo or can fuel discrimination is a whole different conversation to be had. Did I or do I now have the choice to not follow these rules? Of course. But it doesn't change the fact that I grew up in a society that made me believe for almost 25 years that there weren't "choices" but "facts".That's the whole point. I have met some men who commented they liked nail art and skirts but never tried either out in fear of being called ‘gay’ or bullied... we need to work towards ridding society of these toxic concepts, people should be able to do what they want regardless of gender

I am not sure if a romper is the same thing where you are compared to here, but here a romper is what you dress babies in. Its not an adult garment. So its kinda odd to hear you comment about one of those. Besides, rompers are easy as they have poppers at the crotch to open up to change the nappy. That's the whole point of them. So an adult version probably wouldn't be that bad.
Something simple like going to the toilet is very inconvenient at times. As a woman I do feel like we are disadvantaged a lot in every day life. And men always make fun of it saying we take longer. But in reality we are always exposed, objectified and weaker. It’s a scary thing but I think you get used to it because that’s how we get through every day life. I’m really glad they did this video to help others understand better the daily struggles and raise awareness.

Imma be honest here, as a women, squating or not, using a skirt or short dress to go to the restroom is not hard. I would say that when using something more covering like pants, pantyhoses, overalls, rompers or jumpers gets trickier.

I love wearing skirts because they are so liberating lol when I was little, my mom had to force me to wear pants (it was part of the winter uniform at my school) 😂 At first I thought this video was just gonna be about men wearing skirts and how they would sit and walk around, but I was pleasantly surprised when the topic of hidden cameras was brought up. Whenever I walk into a restroom I check for any cameras and use a seat cover. Not only do we have to worry about the restroom when we wear skirts, but also in public transport. If there's no seats, you have to be standing up and that's when men sitting down can take pictures from under your skirt without your knowledge. And sometimes you even have to be careful when your sitting down because the person sitting in front of your could also be taking a picture of your legs or from under your skirt. There's truly no safe measures when that happens unless you wear shorts under your skirt, but that can be too bulky and maybe even uncomfortable for some. They also do it shamesly once you notice and they're counting on the fact that many women would rather not get everyone's attention so they might never speak up or they call you a liar. In some situations, a woman can't win.
@@mslita09 It's just an opinion after all... I just find pants sometimes constricting and it's always easier to just wear a skirt especially since I live in a place where it can get as hot as 120°F in the summer.
As a trans guy I was the complete opposite lol. I'd rather die than wear a skirt sounds like hell. My mum used to try and force me into a dress and I'd cry my eyes out.

The majority of girls don’t even sit on public toilets we use the squat position 😂. If we want to sit we need to cover everything with paper 🧻 ( hygiene and high risk to get urinary tract infections or even other infections)

For me being a girl I only wore skirts during my school days till 6th grade. And from 7th grade, I started to wear Tunic and I felt that tunic is more comfortable than the skirt. Tbh I rarely used our school washroom, it's not like it was unhygienic or something, but I don't feel like using it. And also I don't like to wear skirts and dresses lol, I'm more comfortable with the jeans...

I personally find flat shoes like ballerina slipper ones to be incredibly painful to walk in and much prefer a heel. I mostly wear ankle boots with a 1 to 2 inch platform and a 3 to 4 inch heel. So I guess that basically works out to having a 2 inch heel (since the platform negates some of the heel height in terms of foot position within the shoe). I have no idea how people can deal with wearing flat shoes all day. Hurts so bad!

I'm trying to think of one thing that is a discomfort for men which doesn't have an equivalence for women and I'm not coming up with anything much. Can't even go with prostrate exam because women have to deal with gynaecological examinations which involve metal implements being inserted and cranked open. And in America it's legal to give a pelvic exam to an unconscious woman (such as whilst undergoing an operation or other investigation elsewhere requiring anaesthesia) without having to obtain consent or even inform them of it afterwards. I'd take a single finger up my ass to check for cancer over that. I would love to know of what thing men will have to deal with as a discomfort which women don't also have to deal with in some way. If you have an example I'd actually like to hear it.

tip for going to the bathroom wearing a skirt, the floor being dirty, and no hooks to hang your stuff: instead of pulling the skirt down, roll it up and put your bag or your stuff in the little pocket it creates, then tuck the bottom of the skirt under your chin so both hands are now free to use :) has worked every time for me and I do the same with my shirts/tops when I need to have a place to put items when going to the bathroom. just pull up bottom edge toward you so it creates a little pouch, put your stuff in it, then tuck under chin :) works like a charm and can be used for both women and men :)))

As a woman, "uncomfortable" is sadly one of the main feels (not touching the can of worms that is the vulnerability that comes with it too).
What nowadays can be a choice for men (to use makeup, wear skirt/dresses in certain cultures, use heels, wax etc) it's a "norm" for us. We had to learn to put up with the discomfort and seeing men struggle with what is a daily thing for us is a bit eye opening.
Also, glad that this video wasn't just meant as funny experience but also tackled the issue about the hidden cameras.
So first of all i don’t wanna sound rude or anything but that’s not really the case. All the above mentioned as “choices” for men aren’t really. It’s seen as really taboo and most can get even attacked for such things in many parts of the world. Eg wearing make up, heels and dresses can easily be seen as gay by many people (which there’s nothing wring with homosexuality) but there’s still many who don’t accept it and it many times results to bullying or even violence. As for girls, tho the same things are seen as a “norm” I would argue it’s not something most of society forces on you. You will not get attacked or bullied on the street for wearing pants, flats and no make up as a girl. So I wouldn’t really condone your comment as accurate

@@georgeoust I think you are mixing two separate things? I'm talking about choices, not the stigma that some things have on men.
While growing up I, as well as other women, was constantly bombarded with the idea that if I didn't follow the "beauty norms" (hourglass figure, thin, immaculate skin created by the illusion of makeup, dresses/skirts, heels etc) then I wasn't a good enough woman.
As far as I am concerned, all those "rules" were NEVER applied to the men that I grew up with. That's why I purposely used the word "choices". These men, regardless of their orientation/identity/intention, do have the real choice of using or not makeup and wearing or not clothes that are traditionally considered feminine in my country....because they simply want to. They did not grow up thinking that those things were an essential part of them "being men".
I am not saying that society doesn't have bs standards for men too, but here and now I'm talking about what society imposes to women. Also, whether those choices are taboo or can fuel discrimination is a whole different conversation to be had.
Did I or do I now have the choice to not follow these rules? Of course. But it doesn't change the fact that I grew up in a society that made me believe for almost 25 years that there weren't "choices" but "facts".That's the whole point.
Also, just to make sure : I am talking about what I experience in my country and culture. Other cultures may (and do have) different approaches to this.

To add a bit of more info to the discussion (this is more to insist at the utter bs women have to deal with just for looking "pleasing" to men) : did you know that back in november there was a "glasses ban" in Japan? Literally, female employees in some companies were told that they shouldn't wear them at work... So. Yeah.

I have met some men who commented they liked nail art and skirts but never tried either out in fear of being called ‘gay’ or bullied... we need to work towards ridding society of these toxic concepts, people should be able to do what they want regardless of gender

I am not sure if a romper is the same thing where you are compared to here, but here a romper is what you dress babies in. Its not an adult garment. So its kinda odd to hear you comment about one of those. Besides, rompers are easy as they have poppers at the crotch to open up to change the nappy. That's the whole point of them. So an adult version probably wouldn't be that bad.

Something simple like going to the toilet is very inconvenient at times. As a woman I do feel like we are disadvantaged a lot in every day life. And men always make fun of it saying we take longer. But in reality we are always exposed, objectified and weaker. It’s a scary thing but I think you get used to it because that’s how we get through every day life. I’m really glad they did this video to help others understand better the daily struggles and raise awareness.

Imma be honest here, as a women, squating or not, using a skirt or short dress to go to the restroom is not hard. I would say that when using something more covering like pants, pantyhoses, overalls, rompers or jumpers gets trickier.

I love wearing skirts because they are so liberating lol when I was little, my mom had to force me to wear pants (it was part of the winter uniform at my school) 😂
At first I thought this video was just gonna be about men wearing skirts and how they would sit and walk around, but I was pleasantly surprised when the topic of hidden cameras was brought up. Whenever I walk into a restroom I check for any cameras and use a seat cover. Not only do we have to worry about the restroom when we wear skirts, but also in public transport. If there's no seats, you have to be standing up and that's when men sitting down can take pictures from under your skirt without your knowledge. And sometimes you even have to be careful when your sitting down because the person sitting in front of your could also be taking a picture of your legs or from under your skirt. There's truly no safe measures when that happens unless you wear shorts under your skirt, but that can be too bulky and maybe even uncomfortable for some. They also do it shamesly once you notice and they're counting on the fact that many women would rather not get everyone's attention so they might never speak up or they call you a liar. In some situations, a woman can't win.

@@mslita09 It's just an opinion after all... I just find pants sometimes constricting and it's always easier to just wear a skirt especially since I live in a place where it can get as hot as 120°F in the summer.

The majority of girls don’t even sit on public toilets we use the squat position 😂. If we want to sit we need to cover everything with paper 🧻 ( hygiene and high risk to get urinary tract infections or even other infections)
No. You are not the majority. You are just the reason why they put up the "DO NOT SQUAT ON THE TOILET SEAT" sign because you are damaging public property. Bet you don't do that at home. Bring hand sanitizer and use it on the toilet seats before using. Stop damaging the toilet seats. Other people deserve to sit on a clean unscratched and easy to clean surface.

For me being a girl I only wore skirts during my school days till 6th grade. And from 7th grade, I started to wear Tunic and I felt that tunic is more comfortable than the skirt. Tbh I rarely used our school washroom, it's not like it was unhygienic or something, but I don't feel like using it. And also I don't like to wear skirts and dresses lol, I'm more comfortable with the jeans...
Next time they should try wearing high heels for a night out, now that’s a struggle, the actual pain is real right there. The stuff we do to look pretty...
I personally find flat shoes like ballerina slipper ones to be incredibly painful to walk in and much prefer a heel. I mostly wear ankle boots with a 1 to 2 inch platform and a 3 to 4 inch heel. So I guess that basically works out to having a 2 inch heel (since the platform negates some of the heel height in terms of foot position within the shoe). I have no idea how people can deal with wearing flat shoes all day. Hurts so bad!

thank you for discussing the hidden camera issue, I'm still under 20 but have experienced these types of things which definitely made me more paranoid when using the bathroom and stuff, it's just disgusting how people can be and act, they don't care if you're close or if you're a stranger, they just care about the pleasure and the thrill

I'm trying to think of one thing that is a discomfort for men which doesn't have an equivalence for women and I'm not coming up with anything much. Can't even go with prostrate exam because women have to deal with gynaecological examinations which involve metal implements being inserted and cranked open. And in America it's legal to give a pelvic exam to an unconscious woman (such as whilst undergoing an operation or other investigation elsewhere requiring anaesthesia) without having to obtain consent or even inform them of it afterwards. I'd take a single finger up my ass to check for cancer over that.
I would love to know of what thing men will have to deal with as a discomfort which women don't also have to deal with in some way. If you have an example I'd actually like to hear it.

tip for going to the bathroom wearing a skirt, the floor being dirty, and no hooks to hang your stuff:
instead of pulling the skirt down, roll it up and put your bag or your stuff in the little pocket it creates, then tuck the bottom of the skirt under your chin so both hands are now free to use :) has worked every time for me and I do the same with my shirts/tops when I need to have a place to put items when going to the bathroom. just pull up bottom edge toward you so it creates a little pouch, put your stuff in it, then tuck under chin :) works like a charm and can be used for both women and men :)))
