Awesome stuff man. I do the same thing on my channel in south Florida. Wahoo still on my bucket list , ur content is really good and edited well. Keep it up 👍
Thanks man. Appreciate the shout out. How's the fishing in South Florida, what do you catch mostly? How far offshore do you need to go to get to the fish?
@@CrazyLocoFishing the fishing here is pretty. On average it’s a 1 1/2 to 2 mile pedal to get to the drop off. Down here we get a lot of king mackerel. That’s the common target for yak guys. Spring brings a black fin tuna run. They usually get to around 30 pounds tops. Beyond that is a stud lol. Mahi and sail fish are les frequent then kings but common. Biggest draw back is the amount of boat traffic out here. It’s insane !
@@pitbullbred305 Nice. I need to visit South Florida to fish when I move back mainland. I've fished the Panhandle, which is also fun. But not yet south florida. I'll keep watching the content you're putting out, keep up the good work brother.
Awesome video! I have the Garmin Striker plus and at 200+ feet it struggles to keep signal of the depth. May I ask how is your Garmin Echo and what's your actual depth it reads? Thank you in advance!
Hey. I'll have to take a look at exact depth next time I go out. I know for sure I read to 400 feet, pretty sure it reads to 600-800 feet. Any Echo map series is a big step above the Striker Plus. I would definitely recommend the Echomap line.
@@CrazyLocoFishing Thank you! I appreciated the info. I'm inspired how well u land them big fish. I'm new at kayak fishing and haven't land any yellowfin Tuna or Wahoo.
@@CrazyLocoFishing I'm on Oahu and I like launching from the North and West side harbors. I have been bottom fishing lately since no luck on pelagic fish. I tried some damashi rigs, but haven't been lucky on opelu. I have tried trolling dead akule, but always get cut off and are needlefish magnet. Hopefully one day, thanks for the info and I'll look at the Echomap line. Thank you!
Yeah super lucky. I got 2 cutoffs with flouro that I knew were wahoo, then switched to wire and had no luck. Switched back to fluoro and immediately got a hit. Lucky to land it.
Yessssss! That dolphin footage was unreal and the music change when the wahoo surfaced was epic! Stoked for you!
Bucket list fish out of a yak! Congrats man!
Thanks brother. Any day on the water is a good day. Better if we get a nice fish :)
I enjoyed watching the fight!

Nice ono bruddah!! "Smoke meat not drugs..."
Great motto to live by. Ha.
Taste good? Not much blood - compared to Allen’s
Oh yeah, you'll have to try it sometime. Similar to swordfish in that you cook it as a steak, but a little more delicate.
