Turbo 2zz!!! just lower the compression and keep your turbo setup. The 2zzs go pretty cheap and would drop right in. you'll love the different cam profile when lift engages and you'll be reving 8000+ RPM. That alone being able to rev higher makes it so you can stay in a lower gear longer resulting in more torque (around 20% for each gear) and you better hang on when lift engages 😉 that would be sweet!
Yeah it's definitely one option, I will make a decision... eventually
2zz turbo's are beast! Just sayin...That's the way I'm going when my turbo 1zz goes. But this thing is holding up so well, Been 6yrs + now and I drive it at least 3 times a week.

It is your car, of course, but the 2ZZ can use almost everything you've done so far, plus gives you a much higher reviving engine with the additional valve lift. It is almost a bolt in. That is plenty of power for the Spyder, and the high revving nature of that engine should fit the car's personality better. If you want to go V6, the 2GR in a MK2 is a great swap...to do the 2GR in this car will basically result in you starting over on the drivetrain,

Howdo lee mate.. tell you what I'd like to see.. not really mechanical but definitely mr2.. a swap from start to finish of a soft top to a hard top.

Hey buddy, just buying a TTE, it's not running TTE rims though but stock 15" ones with tiny tires! I'm looking for 17's don't suppose you know what the offset should be and tyre stagger on 17's as you are running them? Cheers buddy, nice motor.

Mike Nefkens 17x7.5 et35 work well on stock width car. 205 front 215 rear.
Do a 2GR-FE swap. A V6 is a V6, am I right?

I plan to do a 2grfe swap on my mr2, it's going to be a little more expensive but it'll definitely be worth it!
I'll take your wing off you hands but I'm in the us and idk how much shipping for something big like that would be
