Wow I tried this just now using your exact recipe and I can’t believe how well it works!! I have a 5 gallon buck of kalkwasser that I haven’t used until just now. Thanks!

While using the prescribed mix, do you think separately using a vinegar syringe might be useful to mitigate pH swing and continue aiptasia extermination? Seems to work ok for me atm.

I havent personally tried that but I will look into it. Anything that helps is good.

Do your leave paste in tank or take it out later??

I will typically leave it in. It will break down over time. If you choose to manually remove it I recommend using a siphon so none of the flakes get on your coral.

@@ewaldsreef supposedly it’s supposed to increase my alk but I haven’t noticed that at all. In fact my alk was going down still from my corals using it up. So I started dosing my alk again.

I would this it out a bit. It really doesn't need to be a paste.

And you don't need to bury it. A few drops in the middle and it will close up around the Kalkwasser.

I spotted a single aiptasia on a small mushroom rock that i can easily take out, but if i scrape it off outside the tank, can it still spread or reproduce in that area?

Great question. If you can get the rock out and completely remove the aiptasia that is best. If any sign of it is left on the rock it can grow back. If you can cut the rock where the anemone is that is even better.

What's worked for me is take out rock if possible and just superglue the thing. If it's one or two here and there.
