I'm glad the group let Frankie show off his vocal ability. Pretty damn good.
A thumbs down? Seriously? This song is fantastic and Frankie sings it brilliantly.
Kimberly Snyder That was Frankie. Sorry. (xxx Dan)
The Darkness Oooh, that Frankie! Take it back. :) xxx
The Darkness hey Justin where's Ed? i love you guys!!!!
I think they were so amazed about the song that they selected the wrong button haha just a confusion XD
@@TheActualDarkness Would love to hear Frankie and Dan sing more. This song is brilliant I love it.
Not only the coolest looking bass player to walk a stage but Frankie can belt them out too! You're the man Frankie!
Vocals by bassist Frankie Poullain! Great song :D
chrisjamesr77 It's Frankie? Cool. I honestly thought it was Brian May.
TomMSTie1138 yup, it's Frankie, and he has a solid singing voice in his own right. Such a great song off an incredible album.
IcedEarthaholic
Totally.
Frankie is a legend. So pleased to hear a different vocalist. Justin is an exceptional talent but it nice to hear different voices in lead. So pleased they did this.
their greatest album, full stop.... The masters of hard rock are back!
A favorite of mine off this amazing albums. Then again, all of their albums are phenomenal. This band is epic.
sounds like something roger taylor would sing whilst still playing drums for example, "im in love with my car" great track!....
Yes, his voice is very like Roger's, in other words great!
+powerslave asassin Great call ! You're right, this seems like something that Roger Taylor would sing....kind of raspier.
The lyric and singing were roger taylor influenced on the artist.
I come back to this song all the time. Love it!
Such a satisfying ending. Time to play the album again.
The Darkness meets Def Leppard circa 1988. BLOODY AWESOME!
Go on Frankie !
Frankie Poullain actually has a damn decent voice in his own right, I hope that The Darkness allow him to sing more songs on a future album, because this is actually one of my favorite songs off of The Last of Our Kind. That's saying something because I love every song on this album, and that's saying doubly something else because I used to hate The Darkness for the longest time. Such an incredible album from start to finish and this track is the cherry on top of the delicious sundae.
Frankie you killed it. Brilliant.
I love this song! Epic masterpiece. More Frankie please!
Frankie sounds a little like Roger Taylor in this song. Hope to hear more vocals from him!
the big question is......what the fuck happened last night??
ahahahah I'm asking the same question...I think that maybe it's about some girl..ahahahahah
And?
Mötley Crüe meets Queen, holy shit!!
It's a goddamn GOAT, Love it!!
Thank You Very Much TheDarkness!!
Life's pretty awesome sometimes
Very underrated song
The first time I heard this, I wasn't so sure about it. It took me aback in that Justin doesn't sing it (other than some backup vocals). The second time, it clicked and made me wonder if it's not the best song on the album....and that's saying something, considering that this is such a tremendous record. Frankie's vocals are great, and they suit the 80's power ballad thing goin' on here. The chorus is massive.
Say Darkness, say Mith. Darkness thanks. You are simply Wonderful. THANKS AGAIN. YOU WILL BE IN THE STORY
On the next album I’d like to hear Dan and Frankie sing one each. That would be awesome lads!
This is frankie!!?? More please.
The best song on the album in my opinion
newportmeister definitely one of them for sure, a surprise gem if I say so myself. Frankie Poullain actually has a solid singing voice in his own right, and the chorus? Uplifting! Love this song!
The best song of their best album 💜
One of my favorite songs from the album!
brilliant song, loved it when they played this at rock city
I really love this song. Thanx for the music, The Darkness :)
I love this song ❤️
I've never been that much of a fan of your newer stuff but I've found after a few listens it's growing on me.
I will never be able to think of this song without thinking of a friend that was sadly lost a few months back. Aimee asked for an extract of the chorus to be read at her funeral, it was very emotional. Since then I've really grown to love this song. I know you're unlikely to read this but if you happen to be playing this song during your set list in Glasgow later this month, could you please, please dedicate it to Aimee.
Thank you.
Oh wow! The Darkness can do a ballad after all. And one with a great (though too brief) guitar solo.
Chorus should last longer, it's fucking anthemic and awesome.
Yes!
How sweet of Justin to let Frankie sing lead on this song!
Dear TheDarkness, I want to give yall a big hug. Can this be arranged? That's what this song does to me :'-)
Love it!
🎉Happy Birthday Frankie!🎉😘😘😘
❤️
It remembers me a Beatles song, "She Said"... I mean the guitar riff at the beginning
Frankie your voice is magnificent! You should sing more! #frankiepoullaine
“Sympathy is dangerous”, so f’n true.
Still waiting for another vocal track from Frankie!
To me, the best song on that album (which was very weak, like of them after the second).
I was wondering if it was Frankie singing. Not a bad voice at all!
just watched an interview with Justin and it is Frankie singing!
Is this the only song he has sang for The Darkness. Great voice and what a shame he hasn't sung previously if that's the case. I actually thought before I knew who was singing that it must be Roger's son because I can hear his Dad's voice in this song. Spooky.
Re-writing We Are The Champions is a tall order, but this is a valiant attempt
I know what happened last night....but frankie said he'd kill me if I told anyone :(
That's it DE JAH VEW Commodore Ballroom. Fuck that was BLAST M. F. s
Is it Emily playing the drums for this one? Dosent sound particularly Rufus or Ed
Emily recorded the drums on every track on this album with the exception of I Am Santa (Rufus recorded the drum parts for that song). Ed was not involved in this album at all (he left in 2014).
I have no idea what this song is supposed to be about
+TheHawkdaddy and yet still good as hell>>> what an amazing band!
Me either. But perseverance seems the overall theme
Okay this reminds me so bad of something but I have no idea what? Especially the 'a diamond is only....getting so lonely' but I can't place it. Maybe it's just Frankie's voice idk
Good song but the chorus is a little "Radio gaga"
Nope. Hand the mic back.
Another brilliant inspiring track. I'm really not trying to like this band.
Justin plays bass on this! Great bassline, great song
