Not to sound insensitive, but I don't see anything wrong here. Nobody forced you into that trade. These small toy companies have to charge more than retail in most cases in order to stay afloat. We have probably all made trades or sold figures for less than we wanted. It's part of being a collector sometimes. They have to make a profit where they can. It would be nice if they all just charged retail, but they wouldn't be in business long if they were to do that. I think it's pretty well understood that these smaller toy companies do this, and it's something we, for the most part, have accepted as collectors. Otherwise, we lose these niche companies and have to take our chances with Walmart and Target. The way I try to approach it is to find a small toy company I really like and respect, like Toy Anxiety in Phoenix, AZ, for example, and if I know I'm going to have a less than beneficial trade or take a loss, at least I know I'm doing it to benefit a company I really believe in. I think that's your best bet. Maybe these guys aren't your cup of tea, but I hope you find a small retailer you respect and then you might not feel so burnt when you support them. Sorry about the bummer trade though! I know the feeling! Happy hunting!
Not really sure what the issue is here? This looks more like a case of buyers remorse. Why didn't you look up the value before the trade? Also Toy federation has an overhead like any other business so when you trade items for store credit or cash the value for items will be less than retail. The videos I have watched I believe the sellers received a fair price.

Remember people do not have to sell their old broken childhood toys, its no pressure in there. You have to haggle back also. Dont just take the first offer!! Yes they are pricey, theres no denying that.
What I see when I watch Toy Federation Ryan being upfront about why he is offering the pricing he does. An example being why a trade price is higher than a cash price and the overhead he has that limits his offers. He has a store to run, bills to pay and employees to pay. Yes the prices are going to be higher. Why do you think you are going to a convention and make an even trade with a vendor?
@@carlsagan680 exactly so my trade price should’ve been worth more than if I was getting cash correct. Then why would he have an $80 price point on a figure that is $30. Most people don't post about these kinds of experiences. Usually, it's just friends that are told when this happens. The comments that mention that companies are out to make money are true, but an avid collector such as yourself has the knowledge and experience buying toys. If you go in understanding what you have and that they are a store that has overhead and needs to make a profit over what they pay for something, then you won't be surprised. You can always choose to walk away. He's usually offered me MORE than I expected and I go in knowing the exact current values of what I trade. Ryan and all his employees are stand-up guys. You're the one that has a problem.
Toy fed is business man. I've watched and think it's one of the best examples of the business side experience that can be found on pooptube. It's brilliant, genius is it's showing the bright side of collecting. What people think their crap is worth and what a reasonable businessman with brains will pay. + He ❤ boxes. This shows that he isn't a avant garde collector numbnuts. These things carry a reverence for some strange reason. But after seeing the end of the video I completely understand. Wtf?! Was that?!💩

You can see the look in the peoples faces after they do the deal. They’ll probably never go back to collecting again because of how he destroys their hopes of having something valuable. And then after he steals toys from people, he raises the price four times the amount. How do I know this? Because I see it at the conventions he sets up at..And if you watch all his videos, you can see the look on peoples faces.. again this is just my opinion. I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind. @@peepo1460 I did ,that was a whole point of the video. I want to show people his integrity. And this is not the average integrity that a toy dealer has. Most dealers want to make a fair trade with you ,not only does he lowball people for their collections on a daily basis but he raises prices four times high. The price on War Duke was $80! And if you go to his convention set ups, you will see half of his stock is highly overpriced. He does this on purpose to scam people, hoping no one will notice. But believe me, Ryan is not as smooth as he makes himself to be. He’s probably the most crooked toy dealer I’ve ever seen. I’ve shopped with Toy Federation for about 6-7 years, you’re way off base my friend. Prices are always good, I doubt it was $80 for that warduke. No offense dude, but this video is basically the definition of clickbait. You exposed that Toy Federation is a business and your amateur psychology is laughable.
their business model is outdated... man, how can you survive by paying 3k - 4k rent? you can t! unless you rip off everyone as your land lord does you.... it s a bad business model, he d need to do this in his home to save rent. but it was surely a childhood dream to 'have his shop'.... just like my sister, I told her DON T RENT A COMMERCIAL SPACE, IT S TOO EXPENSIVE! so what happened? she lost her house, everything.... oh yeah, the shop looks cool and all.... but it takes all your profit. if I d do that, I d get a farm with a giant shed in the backyard, the toy depot. I d compensate by building a giant ad ; the toy farm! I d only pay my reg house payments, no more, way cheaper. the moral of the story is ; if the toy guy gets ripped off, so will you!!!! naturally, it ll get down to you to meet the extra costs same for Hasbro, when they screw up with ip licence, you end up paying their losses figs at $18 climb to $20, then $25, the more they lose, the more YOU pay! maybe the guy feels wrong about it all, but the rent is due... and assassins will tell you, ; someone has to do it.... ; there are winners and losers... do the math, and smell the coffee bro, it was easy, so it s expensive! so now you know... good show bro

You obviously have no idea how business works. I am a reseller, mostly vintage clothes and I will only pay up to 1/3 of the value. A few things here. 1: you needed to use their name in the title and video for clicks because your channel is so small 2: you are butt hurt because you get a good deal on a toy deal 3: you’re jealous of their success Any reseller is only going to pay up to around 1/3 of what something is worth. We give the person cash that isn’t taxed, then we have to pay taxes when we sell the item and we also have fees for anything we sell on a selling platform like eBay. We have to pay eBay 12% for every item we sell. Educate yourself and by the way, there is still time to delete this video. It’s obvious this video didn’t go the way you thought it would go and the majority are saying that you are the problem
Not sure why you did this kinda dumb to be honest. Yes I clicked it. They are a toy store like 60 percent of dealers at a show. Here is the thing he has to pay booth rent looks like he had to pay for 3-4 spots which at that show was around $1200. Then pay the people that work for him it was proably around $350 each so I’m guessing there was 3 of them. Pay for place to stay then food. Did he make any money? Not sure but probably. Was he $80 on that figure? Probably not. Most toy stores have to triple or quadruple the money to make a profit. I realize that you don’t care but I’m sure there were other dealers that would have done same or similar. Not saying it is shady or what not buy what you like but also know you may not get out of it what you put into it. There were collectors there that would gladly given you better for it. Lol, you said that YOU made a mistake when trading and then later you said it's the place to trade. Are you for real lol😂. With regards to their deals at the shop, most people who go there to trade know the prices on eBay etc. So it's up to them if they decide to sell it cheaper to the shop. Secondly, shops have huge overheads so you'll get 50% max for cash and a little more for trade. Also many items they buy just sit in the back and or used for spares or parts so don't realise any profit for a long time. I 100% understand your feelings about the Toy Fed practices; it feels ugly and exploitative from a collector standpoint. But at the end of the day, they ARE more of a pawn store model, and despite all the glitz of their presentation and the fun of all the toys that you see coming in their doors on their videos, they really should be a last resort for people who either want money out of their collection or want to get ahold of a hard to find toy. Because toys are the window dressing, $$$ is the real objective. Like pretty much everything in this world. 🫤🤷♂️ Great look at it in this video, tho. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Most people don't post about these kinds of experiences. Usually, it's just friends that are told when this happens. The comments that mention that companies are out to make money are true, but an avid collector such as yourself has the knowledge and experience buying toys. So, when you see something, I believe you when you can tell somethings up. We all have a bullshit detector that goes off when we encounter it. The great thing for you is there are tons of places to get the stuff you want. Being able to trade obviously is advantageous when you can part with some of your collection. But asking for a fair trade or price is par for the course. It's understood. When you get jipped or can tell the vendor is being shady, cits just bad business foe them. man, how can you survive by paying 3k - 4k rent? you can t!

just like my sister, I told her DON T RENT A COMMERCIAL SPACE, IT S TOO EXPENSIVE!
so what happened? she lost her house, everything....
oh yeah, the shop looks cool and all.... but it takes all your profit.
if I d do that, I d get a farm with a giant shed in the backyard, the toy depot.
I d compensate by building a giant ad ; the toy farm!
I d only pay my reg house payments, no more, way cheaper.
the moral of the story is ; if the toy guy gets ripped off, so will you!!!!
naturally, it ll get down to you to meet the extra costs
same for Hasbro, when they screw up with ip licence, you end up paying their losses
figs at $18 climb to $20, then $25, the more they lose, the more YOU pay!
maybe the guy feels wrong about it all, but the rent is due...
and assassins will tell you, ; someone has to do it....
; there are winners and losers...

U didn't have to take the deal bro how is it wrong that they made a trade u both agreed on? U just sound like a scorned gf
Damn....
Pretty cringe video got here.
Than you for wasting 12 minutes and 15 seconds of my time over nothing....😡😡😡
I’m going to assume this is all satire because it exposed nothing except your poor business sense. Honestly you sound like someone who needs to spend less on toys if you don’t want to pay more for rarer items. 🤷🏻♂️
Click bait. Most viewed video cause of the TF name
Sounds like someone is jealous. No need to come on here and say hes ripping people off. Do you have the overhead he has the bills ?? Probably not. So before you come on you tube and dump on him you should probably research his expenses. So I don't believe he rips anyone off and I believe he's very fair. Bug off!
@@charlessullivan1504 I run my own construction company for over 20 years. I know all about expenses. He still doesn’t have to rip people off every time he comes across someone wanting to get rid of toys or buying them for that matter. It’s clear that Ryan is a flipper and scam artist. but I guess if you’re gonna get rich in this business, that’s the only way to do it… he just likes zero integrity and will not repeat business… Not sure why I would be jealous since I probably make more in one week than he makes in six months… and believe me, I’m not exaggerating….😂😂… I see I need to put out another video😂😂 set you guys straight
@@charlessullivan1504 let me ask you this. Have you ever watched one of his videos and noticed that prices are bleeped out??? why do you think that is?😂😂😂 I’m sure I’ll get a great response from you.😂😂😂
I'm not going to argue with a person like you but there's no need to put down another you tube channel just because your obviously jealous of his success number 1 and number 2 no one forced you to sell it. Again do you have bills or do you still live with your mommy??

Thank you for exposing the truth. Ignore all these comments. They’re the toxic people in the community. Toyattics who films toy federation is a really shitty person too. I subbed to his channel for awhile but he attacked me for having a different opinion. Just because I didn’t like mutant mayhem he went crazy spitting out hate instead the peaceful discussion I thought we were having lol. Can’t stand people who can’t handle a debate or friendly discussion peacefully with people who have different opinions.
Right . I totally agree. Thank you sir👍

You obviously have no idea how business works. I am a reseller, mostly vintage clothes and I will only pay up to 1/3 of the value.
A few things here.
1: you needed to use their name in the title and video for clicks because your channel is so small
2: you are butt hurt because you get a good deal on a toy deal
3: you’re jealous of their success
Any reseller is only going to pay up to around 1/3 of what something is worth.
Sure you didn’t get something else in that deal maybe some biker mice. Saw them sitting on the counter. Not sure you want to grow your channel like that…
@@endlessfables1 I hear about all the payout. The main point is he would take a walking stick from a blind man if he could get get a deal…. The trade was obviously staged and exaggerated. I wanted him to tell me to pick out another toy. I wanted him to tell me that this is not a fair trade. I wanted him to have a little morals and sleep better at night knowing he’s not ripping people off 24 seven. But he is not that type of toy dealer. he is still making profit off of me even if he offered another figure with the trade. I did play dumb in the video and I used a vamp to gather this. Not a big deal for me ,, everyone knows I am a huge Toy Collector. But if you are not good to your customers, you will not get repeat business. This is something toy. Federation does not understand. That’s why they have to come to all these conventions. They’ve already pissed off all their local, buyers and sellers. These are facts.
@@endlessfables1 by the way out of 422 videos this is my second negative video. #2 I’m not even doing UA-cam for a year yet. My channels growing just fine.
@@Toyenhancer No problem. Just thought it was weird. I’m a fellow collector at the show who would gladly paid for a vamp at retail price or a little more. Are you going to do videos about those dealers charging $200-$250. For a piece that hasn’t been out a year. That’s the reason I have slowed down on buying and no longer buying one of everything. Just thought it was funny that someone actually had something I was interested in and would have took basically $30 for it. That figure will be about everywhere in a little while. I can walk to my comic shop and buy one right now.
@@endlessfables1 I see your point and I understand that seeing a vamp wasted like that is heartbreaking. But I wanted to show more so the mentality of toy Federation. They don’t care if you’re coming back. They are not worried about repeat business. And I hope that deals do come your way as a fellow collector. But as a businessman, you need to be professional all the time. And realize that when someone comes to you with a crazy trade, they might just be wanting to do a video on your integrity.👍
I don't think they care if u were shouting them out I doubt ur video is gonna matter to them abd thier subs/fans/customers not to be a dick but u sound salty or jealous for some reason u know how business is what was dirty?.they removed a sticker ?

@@benjordan3090 the video has also got a lot of likes and people that agree. So really doesn’t matter.😂 believe we touched on a subject I will get back to one day. Probably makes some more videos…. You never wonder why they bleep out prices during their content??? because they rip people off 24 seven😂😂😂
I never said you didnt. People are like sheep dude. They see something new they flock to it and can do no wrong. You dont have to see bleeped prices to know they jack shit wayyyyy up. Just go on his online ebay store and shit is 4 times cost of retail. This is why physical collections games toys etc. will be gone with nowhere but ebay to buy. The fact now hes getting paid by advertising and UA-cam and still prices things so high shows the level of greed
wow cry about it why dont you. no one made you trade you did this yourself. if they can get good deals to help their buisness then good for them.

@@SuperJM2013 sorry man that’s not the purpose of the video. Trust me. I’m a big Toy Collector and he’s a big toy seller. He doesn’t mind ripping people off. He does this daily. I don’t mind wasting a vamp. I had five of these. I’m just trying to prove a point. This guy is gonna take anything, he can get and he’s not worried about a fair deal. Believe me I’m not butt hurt. I built a super vamp on my channel RC powered. On the first day the vamp came. I completely ripped one apart. I’m not scared to spare some toys to prove a point. Believe me, no butt hurt here I have three more vamps in the box still.😂😂😂 I can understand how small toy collectors might be butt hurt …. trust me I was not worried about losing a vamp in this process. I was more interested in showing Ryan’s integrity towards trading. And if he had that price sticker on that war Duke instead of peeling it off before I got back. It would’ve been a better video. But he’s Mr. Slick Rick.😂😂😂…
@@SuperJM2013 and believe me I’ve had conversations with many people that totally agree with me. He is a scam artist with zero integrity, and he never has any repeat business. He rips people off out of their collection and you can see the look in their face when they leave his shop. It’s like he ripped a part of their soul away .. have you ever wondered why they bleep out prices that they talk about all through their content. You only hear a couple prices here and there. That’s because they’re scamming people right in front of you as you’re watching his content.😂😂😂 I can see how this can be overlooked when you’re looking at you have never seen before. Trust me been collecting all my life and I know a good salesman when I see one. A good salesman is not gonna rip you off because they want you to come back again, Ryan has zero integrity,,, and that is what I want you to understand from this video… I’m not telling you to not shop there… I’m telling you that I won’t.
Dude , You sound like a Karen . We live in a capitalism society . People make good and bad choices its not your problem . Trading a In demand sold out Vamp for a Neca figure that has not sold out sounds foolish to me . Why would Toy federation be held accountable for your mistakes or lack of intelligence. When you Pawn something you have a chance to get the item back if you pay back . These folks bring stuff to Toy Federation dont have anytime to list there Item for sale and want a quick buck . If anything Toy Federation offer's a Solution .
@@keepitrealandtoasty you said it perfect. Except for the Karen part.😂😂 I was testing the integrity of toy Federation. This guy rips people off all the time and then puts triple the amount on the toys. I don’t know how he sleeps at night. And he definitely thinks all toy collectors are stupid. I admit. It was a set up, but he does this all the time. It was like nothing to him. Most vendors would say hold up. Let me give you a little extra on this trade. It’s not like I was paying cash for it. And all trades should be fair. he even talks about how he traded a bunch of wolverine packs for one. Then why the hell is he OK with trading one $30 figure😂😂 I made the video at the expensive vamp. Like I said in the video I knew I was gonna trade the vamp no matter what to obtain the content. damn shame he peeled the $80 price tag off before I got back. That would’ve been golden.
@@Toyenhancer You're right about the Karen part . A Karen will probably not have any dialogue. You can't be too emotional and expect to have a successful business. I am sure we might not see it but there might be a couple good deeds that happen in close doors. Only one can hope so. After all toys do bring Joy to all ages.
For people in Hard times a Pawn shop offers Opportunities to make a quick buck to support ones family . A pawn shop does not have good publicity. I think you expect more decency . Nothing wrong with that but keep notice its not always going to be at your favor expect there will be disappointment. Integrity and trust sometimes takes time and its not easily obtain but earned.
I don’t see what the issue is? This is a free country and no one forced you to do anything? Do you have any idea how much it costs to run a company? Do you realize in pretty much every major retailer in the country products are sold everyday at a 100-200% mark up…….Are you making videos about those retailers? Every second hand small business is essentially a Pawn shop and it’s not an easy business to run. You assume Toy Federation doesn’t get burned, but I guarantee you do. I bet you would be amazed at how much inventory is stolen from their shop annually. Sellers remorse should never be the basis of UA-cam content. Take responsibility for your actions, be a man!

Everyone can easily list items online if they want, there is no excuse or reason to complain about the toy store.
