    Glad you found this. The few variations I've found on kickstarter, I swear are vaporware, I was beginning to think they don't actually exist! Good to see a real person with one! Definitely thinking about getting one for camping!

    • @OverlandFlorida
      @OverlandFlorida  Рік тому +1

      It’s about $500. So about as much as everyone spends on a 12v refrigerator. Not bad if it’s good enough to last 5 years or longer.

      @@OverlandFlorida That's MUCH better deal than the kickstarter variants I've priced out. That's completely affordable even just for Hurricane prep usage in Florida, if you have reliable alternate power. Thanks for the details!

      It's not gonna cool down a tent or a car........ You'll be disappointed if you use it for that purpose.

    Sounds nice and quiet. My rooftop dometic ac on my campervan is so LOUD that I don’t use it while sleeping. But I like cool temps when I sleep!

    If no compressor then no AC
    Two cans and a string is not a phone.. even if no contracts.. no drop calls.. no recharging.

    It draws between 150 -200 w at least that is what I read from the battery pack I used to run it overnight. 1000W battery last for 5 hours in my situation

      I wish they would make a direct DC input instead of the 12v to 110v back to 12v. That is a lot of wasted energy.

      Depends on what you want to do with it. It doesn't have the cooling power to cool down a tent, a van, or a car.

    • @OverlandFlorida

      Temperature wise it’s about the same. The only difference is the zero breeze has a bigger hose so more airflow.

    • @OverlandFlorida

      It’s ok. It cools the same as a zero breeze. But it doesn’t push as much air of that makes sense.

    • @OverlandFlorida
      @OverlandFlorida  2 місяці тому +2

      The unit does pump out some cool air. But the hose is small and restrictive. So it doesn’t push much air out. You would have to be sitting in front of it to feel anything.
