After watching a couple of other installation videos, I had given up hope that I was capable of installing an accordion door without the need to hire a professional. It really took a lot of wind out of my sails.
But after watching your video and the ease at which you installed them as well as your very detailed explanation, showing the complete process, you have single-handedly restored my faith in myself and have given me the biggest boost of confidence. For me, that’s HUGE.
Now, I look forward to not only making my purchase but knowing I AM capable of doing this all by my lonesome.
Now for the real test, when and NOT IF I complete the task, you’ll see me here again, thanking you for providing everything us novices need to just get’er done. I will keep you posted.
😊11😊😊😊❤❤ĺ😊😊😊
THANK YOU! This was FAR more informative than the instructions that came with the door.
Glad it was helpful,Alex!
I followed your video to a tee for a closet door opening that is 36 inches wide and 94 inches tall. My accordian doors look fantastic 😊. I'm so pleased, thank you so much !
Glad it helped!
Haven’t tried my door installs yet but just want to say you have done a fantastic job of explaining and look forward to watching your other videos.
Just saw these existed and thinking of getting a few and this was the first video I saw on how to install them. Subbed and saving this to watch again later.
Looks like ill be doing this in a couple days. Thanks for this step by step guide
Very nice video boss. Thanks.
Thanks for the tutorial! Can't wait for the next video :)
Thanks for watching, Melanie!
Great video, very helpful.
Excellent video 👍
Dude, this is awesome!! Thnx bud 😁👍🏻
This is great! Thanks
This is a great help- thanks!
Beautiful video thanks
Very helpful, thank you! I have a large 78" opening going from my kitchen to an aluminum sunroom that has no ac vents and very large windows. We lose a ton of AC through this opening and I'm tired of hanging sheets over it so we are going to install one of these doors. Nice clean look and helps to keep the expensive cool air in.
Appreciate it and thanks for watching!
Thank you. There were only vague instructions for attaching the lead edge top glide. Your visual was very helpful. 🎉
Heres a little tip in return.
When I have to line something up blindly before I drill, I put a tiny ball of toothpaste in the holes, like on the magnetic plate while lined up on the magnets. Then i press it into place. Using the door to just press in this case. Then when I pulled the door away there were two little dots of toothpaste marking where I was to drill. Drill & wipe off the toothpaste and screwed in the plate. Lined up perfectly.
Glad it helped and thanks for posting your tip for others!
Awesome. Thank you
Glad it helped!
Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Nice tutorial
Glad it helped!
thanks
Thank you for sharing this installation video. I was just wondering what is the depth of the top railing rack. Thank you so much.
Could u add an additional lock on the inside if it's for a bedroom?
I would say that u are the ChrisFix of hime diy
That's high praise, Colin. I appreciate it! Thanks for the support!
Whatever my house has is really long and covers the entirety of a washer and dryer area. It also doesn't have the shower curtain holes at the top of it. Lastly there's no way to fully close it because it doesn't have some kind of latching mechanism against the wall this means that it doesn't block out the sound as much as it would otherwise. (That's the only time I want to use it.)
Can I install the top rack directly to concrete ceiling using a drill and 1/4 in. screw?
When I cut the bottom my doors started falling apart :( there are these little rods that hold it together that were cut … Do you thing if I seal the bottom with some glue or caulking agent it will keep from falling? If so what would you recommend?
Ey dude! What drill are you using?
Could this mounting track be mounted on the ceiling?
& if not, could a tension rod be used within those grommets? Would a rod hold the door up?
It can be mounted on the ceiling. I don't see why it won't fit on a curtain rod, however, it may not slide as easily and could damage the doors
Question: Is that specific door okay to place in front of a furnace? Considering the heat coming off a furnace?
So far so good! Mine is about 18” from the furnace
After cutting the bottom because it was too tall for your space, why did we cut 1 8th of an inch off the top of the rail? I need it explained in full because I am completely new to to this
What is the brand and part info? Thks
How do I elimination a piece of door?
Looking for ways to add a lock to this door
Can you install this without a Frame on the top? any idea how or where to fasten the rail?
I am 90% sure you will need the rail on the top since that's where the curtain hangs from... Sorry for the bad news. BUT thanks for watching!
Maybe using a shower courtain telescoping pole?
you measured and cut the height to make it fit. But I didn't see you cut for the width. Do you not need to trim for the width?
Hey Ryan - No need to trim the width. You just need to buy a door that is as wide as your door opening (or a few inches longer). Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
@@AndrewThronImprovements ok. thanks for the help!
So what your saying is your video assumes everyone found a door exactly the correct width as your opening? Might want to address, or folks not, so quick might start calling bul... Err I mean, bovine scat(you tube guidelines) on your claim.
There are no assumptions made. If you simply follow the video’s instructions, you’ve been given the tools needed for the installation. What more do you want than that???
If you had eliminated your rather rude and unwarranted chastising of the channel owner, you could have had your job completed.
After all, if I a “mere” woman have the confidence to do the job, why are you lacking in confidence? Perhaps you should hire a professional.
And I’ll see you “bovine scat” and raise your bovine scat. How’s THAT, for giving you scat back.
