- In this video we fish a clear water beach in Yamba, NSW. We use soft plastics fishing from shore and wading the shallow flats in search of a big dusky flathead!

that looks like good fun, great job mate.
Is a flathead a fish you fish to eat?
100% taste amazing
Props for doing C&R. Don't take more than you need guys.
C & R is the way to go. Cheers mate!
best soft lures for Taylor?
Awesome video, having fun and catching multi species is a great way of spending time fishing.
Plastics are so much fun
Great video Nev! How do you take a flathead off without getting spiked?
Can you teach us how to see channels
You’ll see the colour change in the water the deeper the channel the darker the colour
Do flat heads have a venomous or poisoness barb and if they do how do you deal with it
Awesome effort on the flatties man sounded like you having a ball brother enjoy ya holiday 👌💯🎣🎥
Awesome bro!! Love your videos. Would love to try and use some soft baits and lures more because it’s so much lore interactive and less messy than bait. That’s why I love squidding. You’ve got some awesome conditions for fishing. Right now in Nz we’ve had a little rain so water won’t be very clear. Waiting for tides to be good next week so I can go squidding!! 😎
Cheers mate! Im pretty lucky to be here in AUS got so many different species I can chase!
give us some more catch nd cooks
For sure, ill get onto it soon!
What kind of rod suitable for soft plastic? Slow / fast , soft/hard?
You got a sub from me. Mad video.
Great video :) I wonder if you might go over how you handle fish so you don't get spiked? Especially flathead, I had the idea they would shake their head and get you with their side spikes?
stick your fingers in to the gills....
@@seemorebutts8834 Flathead have spines right next to their gills. If you get an undersized fish and want to put it back, sticking your fingers into it's gills will harm it.
Mate where about in Yamba r you u fishing the sand flats
the far end of whiting beach.
You should catch more snappers
Hey mate on San Remo pier what fish are most common on baits and what are the good spots for bait fishing on that pier thanks mate
I have a couple of videos down there. Id say whiting, flathead and wrasses are the common species you will catch on bait.
Nev's Fishing thanks mate
@papzi.
Newhaven pier is easier to fish. Catch good trevelly and pinkies as well as mullet and garfish.Best on top of flood.
Todies will kill your baits sometimes
Fish only 1 hr before tide change to 1 hr after change otherwise current is too strong.
Another great spot is San Remo at low tide there is a big sand bar down east from pier.
You can cast into channel, or catch fatties in the shallow.
Be careful as tide comes in quick.
That's a weird looking squid... 😂
They breed em different in NSW 😂😂
Just a suggestion but try out a plastic call the imposter it's a prawn and infused sent and has crazy good action in the water I catch heaps of fish with them
If you ever come back to yamba pop over to iluka and fish off the break wall great for some nice cobia and jewies
We're is the spot
Nice spot there for the flattys.....catch and cook next vid?? 👍🍻🍻
Definitely some more catch n cooks coming soon!
Get the dogs
Holding a flatheadis a pain! Those spikes get me every time.
