Great Fun! Here is Melbourne we never have so many fish so shallow and so close! Speaking of that, do you know any places so close with that good fishing around melboune? There is a few spots but never anything like that!
Far out, as soon as I saw the break wall I knew where you were. I used to holiday there as a kid all the time. But when I saw you guys walking through the oyster leads at low tide I knew exactly the spot you were. I caught my biggest flathead in that spot about 10 years ago. Was 80cm

they're illegal to kill mate, theyre a native fish and an important part of the ecosystem, whether they're a nuisance to you or not. carp, mosquito fish and tilapia are completely different - invasives who have no place in our country. Killing puffers is also looked down upon since other native animals or pet dogs can come along and eat the remains and then die because of it. as a rule dont kill any fish unless you're not sure about it, definitely not the toadies though
@@MrDamo1648 they're the same species man, I'm curious where did you get the idea from though? I remember there even being signs at my local boat ramp saying how it was illegal to kill toadfish. the only fish that are strictly no release species are freshwater invasive ones. toadfish may be annoying but they don't deserve to be unnecessarily killed
@@MrDamo1648 all good man, just wanted to clarify. was it a dpi/fisheries organisation that stated not to release or just other fishermen? what reason as well? not trying to be accusatory mate, just wondering about it 👌
All my life I was absolutely scared of puffer fish, thought they'd explode, or spit poison, or those spikes were dangerous... wow lol

It was a joke mate. A joke.
Flathead have very sharp teeth . I'd suggest don't lip grip them ! Bad tip for new fishos . 👌👍 sorry .
But they're tiny like sandpaper. Easier to hold the lip than to get spiked while holding the tail
