Fun video… there is always that moment when you are garage sailing and your mind shuts down and you buy something with no idea why you bought it. It can happens at auctions as well. When I was a kid my mom bought a box of cowboy boots. They all looked almost brand new. With five boys, my mom thought it would be a great purchase. The funny thing was it was a box of left foot boots, not a single right foot boot in the box. Who sells a box of left boots. Have a great day and you can only hope the gems out number the CRAP! Thanks for sharing

That bounty detector can provide some great fun!! I’m not sure about that one, but generally they don’t discriminate very well so… you can end up chasing a lot of garbage….but they are decent little detector’s.

Are you familiar with Direct Tools Outlet? You might find a deal on a charger and battery for that drill. DTO sells Rigid, Ryobi, and Hart Tools, and a couple of vacuum cleaner brands. It's all factory blemished or factory refurbished stuff. Their prices are great, and when they have sales you can get some really good deals. Shipping is reasonable from the website, and they have brick and mortar stores. We have two of them here in Missouri.

Yeah, we had one near me in Florida, but nothing here around us. I'm going to find one at a Yard Sale, just a matter of time LOLOL..

Here’s my sob story. Our local historical society has an annual fund raising yard sale on memorial day weekend. Last year, I saw a five gallon bucket of Galvanized Framing Nails, Smooth Shank. I asked about the price and the nice lady said…50 bucks?
Well THAT was a STEAL for a five gallon bucket of nails! Thing darn near killed me weighing about 80 pounds!
Well I got it home and a couple of days later decided to get a count and put a number to the “steal” I got!
I lifted off the top layer and under that…a bucket of rusty junk metal things of your wildest imagination!! I ended up with about 250 nails…I suppose it was for a worthy cause…🤦🏻‍♂️
Moral of the story, never judge a bucket by its top layer!!😎
    And THERE’S yer dinner!! 🤣👍🏻

I had an opposite experience at a flea market a while back. A guy had a cardboard box with a bunch of sockets. Most were made in China or Taiwan. There were a few SK and USA made Craftsman, and a few old hex drive sockets. There was also a couple of brace bits, a rusty set of real Channellocks, some screwdrivers, a weird mug with a mustache protector, and some other crap. I gave him $5 for it, and $5 for another box that had full sets of SAE and metric 3/8 drive 6 point USA made Craftsman sockets. Another lady sold me an old blue Ryobi drill and battery for $3. I thought I made out like a bandit. I sold the weird mug on eBay for $7.50. The drill and battery both turned out to be DOA, but the drill was recalled, so Ryobi traded me for a brand new one. That wasn't the best part, though. When I got home and went through that first box of stuff, I found a challenge coin buried in the bottom. I snapped a picture and did a Google image search. It turned out to be from a CIA training center, and quite valuable. So, I put it up on FeeBay. Sold it for $1,250. eBay cleaned my clock with their outrageous fees, but I still made a pretty good return on my $5 investment.

WoW.....now that is treasure FOUND....love the FEE BAY part ha ha ha....it is amazing what you can find out there at times. We've had a few items over the years too. That coin...man, it was a lucky find. 🤠

Don't seem to have 'Yard Sales' here in NZ ...since the internet, mostly things are sold here via internet auction ...from homes to cars to everything you can imagine, I just sold a pair of 'Crocs On the Clock Work Slip-On - Unisex' yesterday!!!

Interesting ! In Europe it was mostly local small "flee markets" or weekend dealer shops on streets etc. Same with Central America, never saw a "yard sale" or garage sale etc...They had tiny shops that sold "used" items and so on. We hit them each weekend and drag home some odd things LOL

A find at the tractor supply i came across was a pencil torch. When i got it home and filled it up with Butane, i looked for instructions. It was limited, and all were statements of about 3 lines but not how to use it. It just says off and on located on the pencil torch. Every time ii is to be lit, you need a lighter or match to light. Also, it is dangerous when lit, and you need to lay it down. If i looked at it before buying, i might have said no way. If one doesn't know how to use one, it is dangerous. A regular butane lighter with a trigger would be safer to use.
Another time in tractor supply, i found left-handed fluted drills in a bolt remover kit. I thought it was a good deal. I found both in the bargin bin at tractor supply. Both good and bad findings.

I havent been to a garage or yard sale in years! Used to go and then around here people started thinking they could charge retail prices for stuff that was used so we stopped. My garage is junky enough so I dont need to bring any "projects" home either :)

Yeah, that does happen to me here sometimes. They start telling me how much it sells for on eBay and I walk !
