The Yusufeli Dam - The Turkey's Mega Project of Record

Turkey has built its highest dam in Turkey and the ninth highest dam in the world, rising to a remarkable height of 270 metres from its foundations and now reaching 275 metres. Built as a double-curvature dam, it is made of some 2.9 million cubic meters of concrete and features a robust design with a crest length of 490 meters and a width of 15 meters. Construction is estimated to cost around US$270 million.
