- #R1tires..Well i wanted to make the stance on my tractor wider for more stability and i am very pleased with how it turned out...the tractor is now more solid and feels way more stable and the ride is less bumpy and just overall way better to operate...thank y’all for watching this is on my R1 tires,if your tires are filled I suggest draining the fluid out before attempting this, those tires are not light by any means..

Thought about doing this to my l2501 but I've got pretty flat land. Another good video keep em coming can't wait to see the pond done.
Jeremy Flynn me too..we have had some rain the past couple days and it’s full of water right now..lol
Good video keep them coming
Mitch Denson thanks bud!i will..
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I had wheel spacers put on at the dealer and had them set the wheels to the widest position before I picked the tractor up. I also had them fill the tires with fluid. I don't know if you have seen that in my latest videos. I did a 2 part review of my Kubota L2501. Thanks for sharing Channon. This was interesting to watch. You did a great job.
Thanks brother,I still want to have fluid put in my tires,I haven’t watched it yet, they got me working all month 13hr shift’s,I’ll try and watch both of them today..
@@itsmancini , I went with 1 inch wheel spacers from Kubota. They don’t like to push things too far as it does add stress to the bearings and wheel seals. My tires are fluid filled too... from the dealer.
Good information
Thanks bud,glad it helped out..
That is a heck of a lot wider! Poor lawnmower! LOL It turn out really good! Have a good week!
Louisiana Tractorworks & Projects lol...thanks bud you too!
Thanks for putting this video out. When I get my L2501, this is the first thing I’m doing
Joshua Parsons i should have done it alot sooner..lol it is definitely the best thing i have done to the tractor so far..thanks bud
The new ones seem to have welded centers,
That’s weird,mines a 2019..
@@Bamacountry88 Bought mine Dec 2018 Maybe it is an option or a regional thing. Mine was going to a local vineyard early 2019 they sent it to me and ordered another one for them. I have noticed places selling wheel spacers. Which would be an odd thing to be selling if most of them came with the rims you have. Think I may have figured it out R1 has adjustable rims most of the time. R4 doesn"t. I just looked thew pictures mine are definitely welded.
Yeah it won’t work with the R4 tires...
Great video, thanks for sharing!
I was wondering, what if you swap front wheels right/left and get the them attached on the outside bulge of the rim instead of inside the bulge?
Doing so I would easily widen my stance by 6 inches on my tractor.
Getting your rear tires filled will also help with stability, as well as with loader work.
Pluto Thor awesome,i plan on doing that soon..
Currently the wheels on my tractor are at 56" as well. As my first winter with this tractor approaches, I realized there will not be adequate room for chains on the back wheels. This was helpful and, if I widen my tractor's stance, there should be room for chains. Wondering if the front should be widened as well - not for chains, but to keep the same width. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks brother! I’ve heard widening the front is bad for the front axel and doesn’t do anything for stability so I wouldn’t do the front imo..thanks for watching bud!
Mine came with the wide stance and I want to go narrow for working in the woods plus my land is flat. Should be exciting with loaded tires.
Yeah the only reason i did this was because 80% of my property is rolling hills and slopes..I like the narrow stance for trail building if it was flat land for sure..
Whot is the tire width, and tractor dimension
I have the same tractor and tires. I made the dealer set my wheels all the way out. I also have tires filled.
I plan on buying wheel weights soon. They are available for the 2501, 60 lbs per x 6 weights. They priced me 550.00 including mounting hardware. In case your interested. Probably buying spacers before weights.
J Baker i would love some wheel weights one day..thank you for commenting and watching bud!! Merry Christmas 🎄
Hey, have you thought about doing the same to the front wheels?
Jeff Bashor yeah I thought about it,but i didn’t think i needed too..i might try it one day tho
It looks like mine. If you look closely in the videos of mine or on the still pictures on Facebook, you will see that my tires are way too wide for the fenders.
I'll be doing this to my 2501. Wider is better..
bombidude awesome bro,it definitely made a huge difference on hills..thanks for watching bud!
do the front the same way they work the same . and a lot wider when dished out
I’ve thought about it,thanks bud
Couldn't you have just switch the tire And not had to switch the rims?
Put some Mikey Thompson's on it!
Lol that would be a great video 😂
I wish I could do this to my L2501, it has R4 tires and one piece wheels. bummer
Mr child grown. I wish you were close to arkansas we could do some trading
@@icotown2209 I like my R4 tires, I ordered my L2501 that way but don't care for one piece wheels. I do have the tires filled and it's ok but a wider stance would be nice
Kubota should fix their engineering on the compact tractors! The stability is extremely poor😢
