I cried so many times watching the movie and this interview. As a Former Cricketer being the underdog team and winning matches was always part of me so seeing what Indian squad went through in 83 i could relate to it. Hats off to Ranveer for his acting skills. I couldnt see anyone else in the Bollywood who can play Honorable Kapil Devs role. I hope one day My country Bangladesh will win the world cup and we can be part of the history for our nation too.

Mohinder Amarnath was my hero who is the only indian cricketer played all type of cricket shots and got out on all types shots nearly. He was an exceptionally intelligent and a natural ability cricket all rounder.
Say what you want,players of them days did not have tattoos,fancy haircuts,huge paychecks,fancy cars..but still had far more skill and guts and charisma than any one of today's especially post 2011

I watched this movie 5 times, first hindi version and 4 times Tamil version. Every time i wanted to see Ranvir Singh on the screen but believe me i saw Mr.Kapil Dev all the time. All the characters have given their 100%. One co-incident that i was 1 year old when India won world cup in 1983 and my son was one year old when Dhoni's team won for the second time. ✌
Winning a world cup is exceptional memories but i was not born then. Not able to enjoy those moments but this movie gave the pain, belief, happiness, sprits of indian cricket emotions, and take us to 83. Thanks to this biopic idea.

1983 world cup is an historical.credit goes to kapil Srikanth Mohinderamaranath Sandhu all 14 selected players.because they played like not winning the world cup but they played like their original play.not concentrated on result but they played without maximum mistakes.minimises their mistakes by batting bowling and fielding.wonderful all rounders.c.v.nagaraj.

Think about what these 14 men went through in real life... as rightly said by Kapil Sir, an individual can only inspire but it takes a team to win. I was 9 years when India won the World Cup, and I still remember we were all out with 183 Runs on the board. And everyone in the house said India does not have a chance... But things proved to be different ... It took guts to bowl out the best team in the World for 140, and I salute the grit, and determination these men put in to inspire the next generation of Indian cricket. We have come a long way and 83' has been that stepping stone... my prayers for good health to all the 83' players, and best wishes to the actors who have tried enacting them on celluloid. India may win many World cups, but 83' will always be special.

Completely agree. I too felt he was a bit too "emotion-less" and weird while interviewing. Sometimes he said stuff which really wasn't necessary.
