I spent days trying to transfer the music I actually own on CD that I had converted to MP3 files. Apple didn't make it easy but I was able to get it to work with all the album cover art....find out how I did it.

I don't know anything about the watch. You can stream from the phone to the watch though.

Like downloading the CD to ALAC format and uploading that lossless quality to Apple Music

Thanks for your video. It is great that a new 2024 video about this was created, however I’ll like if you please make one on ripping a cd with iTunes in a PC windows 11 and adding it to your own library. I have apple iPhone and iPad and can’t afford the monthly charge from apple to sync my own personal music that I own (cds and lps). Now everything sims to go into an audiobook or podcast music media folder and doesn’t show in the apple library. Please help!!
I don’t pay for Apple Music and sync just fine. No subscription needed.

No, they don't need any of that to sync. I just like to keep my stuff organized. If you don't you will have a bunch of stuff that has no artwork at all. And that's ok.

Yes! A video of CD to IPhone please - on windows. Also - do we have to copy the entire album? Is there a way to just copy a few songs? I used to be able to do this but I cannot seem to find a way to “burn” just a few songs. Thanks!
Thanks for the great info, but you appear to be on a MAC and the File option does appear on my PC (using Windows 10). Does that mean the manuver you are using cannot be performed on my PC? I was really excited when I saw this and would like to import some customized sound bites I have created.
I am going to be testing on a PC very soon and plan on doing a video for that too. The last I checked if you download iTunes from the apple website it worked on the PC too. But it had to be from the apple website and not the windows store.

This won't help if I have music on my phone that isn't on my laptop and don't want to lose the music on my phone, right? Syncing will replace everything on my phone with what's on my laptop? Is there a way to get a file from my macbook pro (or iphone) into the music app without losing the music that's not on my laptop but is on my phone?
I still use a Nano iPod, with a pc… with the Apple devices app the computer recognizes it, but I don’t know how to sync my music. Do you think the way you describe with the iPhone can work?
The method I use is through the actual music app. You would have to check. If it is recognized it should work.
Much appreciated. This is the video we CD collectors need. Although when I pop in a CD it asks if I want to rip it, so I was just planning to rip straight to my Apple Music Library. I would think that would work too, assuming you plug in with a lightning cable. I guess I could try without since you said it kinda works. Maybe if the mp3 (or Apple format?) file was created by Apple Music, it’ll export to the iPhone easier, even wirelessly… hmm 🤔

Yes, when you sync unselect everything you don't want and sync.

Sorry for my English - if u have a computer ,whether PC or Mac , that has a disc drive - you can also start iTunes and put the CD in - iTunes will ask you to do a copy of the CD and put it in your iTunes library … from there on you can synchronize your device and enjoy
Exactly… I was wondering why he didn’t do this. Maybe he just had a lot of mp3s made elsewhere already, so he didn’t want to rip the CDs again?? Idk, good video, I now have a backup plan if the standard Apple Music ripping to library option doesn’t work… you know, if it doesn’t sync properly afterward.

This works if you aren't using Cloud Music Library. What if you are?
If you are you are stuck that way. My method works for mp3 files. You should still ba bale to add your mp3 files through the cable and play the other music from the cloud.
Thank you for the review. I've been having trouble transferring music from my Mac mini to my iPhone for a few days now. When I connect my phone to the computer, I can see the iPhone image. Then, when I press "Sync Music onto iPhone," I get a message that says, "Are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies, TV shows, etc.?" I'm not sure what this means. Will it erase everything on my phone if I proceed?

When I highlight music and then check Sync music on my iPhone, a box appears with a message that says are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies, TV shows, and books from this iPhone and sync with this library? then it shows two options one says remove & sync the other just says cancel what does this mean if I choose the options that's says remove and sync? could you please explain what selecting "remove & sync" means?
It means if you have movies and music on your phone it will be overwritten with what you are syncing from the Mac.
This does not work consistently and it seems like it should. Back in the day, you could click and drag the music file from your library to your phone, if your phone showed up in iTunes or in the Music app. That is no longer the case. But when I do follow the instructions in this video, which are thorough, it does not always work. It is very frustrating...I still buy CDs, but the past few years it has been hit or miss if I can get the music on my iPhone even though it seems like it should be a simple process....
I’ve done everything except when I get to the transfer part, my phone doesn’t come up on the side. For more context, I use Windows. But I followed all the other steps.

this is my problem....all my music and playlists that i purchased through iTunes did NOT transfer to my iPhone when i was transferring music i had on my Mac! UGH! 😩😫 I open my iTunes store app on my iphone and i see them all there under purchased, but i don;t know how to transfer them to my Music app playlists on my iPhone??? I know it's something super easy but I've tried the easy ways and the way that it should work plugging my phone to my Mac and opening iTunes , but i still don't know how to transfer them to my music app on phone! 😤😤😤😤 Like I literally have them on my phone but how do i get them to my playlist from iTunes store app under purchased ???
Sync with an actual cable and make sure the playlist option is selected.
but if you have an active Apple Music subscription, syncing your own files unfortunately doesn't work..:-( right?
Wirelessly is messed up with or without a subscription. You can sync using the cable with or without a subscription too.
@@myreview-aaronfischer no, if I connect by wire an go into Music App there is the Message "your are using Apple Music per Cloud, so you cannot sync music" or something like that...
Have you heard of this? I was playing Elton John Tumbleweed from my phone that i downloaded years ago, in my car, and the second song was not even Elton john!! It was another version and it wasn't even Elton John !!!!! what's up with that?
Also, it took everything off my phone and put it in the cloud. Now when I'm in the mountains with no signal, the music will not play !

That happens if you do a wireless sync. It messes things up. All of my music are mp3 files that I keep on the phone so no streaming at all.
@@myreview-aaronfischer At first I didn't know that (wireless) was happening. Now all my music is no longer "on" my phone. Are you saying I have to FIRST have to put everything as mp3 on a drive and THEN put it on my phone? I'll need that video. lol and thank you.

Mp4 files are video files and are not recognized as a file in the Music app.
