- Lakers signed their rookie 2 way guy Blake Hinson to a 2 year contract. Blake Hinson was an elite level shooter in college and has excellent size. Hinson would of likely been a top 10 pick had he been younger but at 24 years old is a better help now player for Lakers Nation. This is great Lakers News and he should be a real future piece.

Be excited about Blake. He's going to get minutes this year. I used to be his Uber driver here in Pittsburgh. One of the nicest people you could meet. Tipped very well too. But knowing his game LeBron is going to love him... And his age kept him from being drafted and he knew that would be an issue. All he wanted was a chance and he got it. He's going to be a good player Lebron and AD can count on. I'm so happy for him.
That's awesome!!! He's a dawg!!! I'm pumped for Hinson and think he makes the roster and is a rotation guy at some point. If he was like 20-21 he would easily be a top 10 maybe top 5 (look at Reed Sheppard 3rd pick) Lakers love and have had real success with the undrafted older guys too.
Not this year but maybe in the future.
Gonna have to give real effort on D that's the only thing just a better effort
6'8 , 230 and shoots 42% from. he has fire and has that dog. hope he makes it.
I’d play him over cam in a heartbeat
I really think he will
Just what we need. Size, drive, and can stretch the floor. He should be NBA ready at his age.
He's expected to be ready to go immediately. I think he gets a little burn this year but makes the actual roster and rotation next
It appears the lakers are making moves that ppl are not aware of because the main media keeps talking about how they missed on big name players . The lakers just need solid spot up shooters and a big .
Exactly 💯
Agree! Too much noise from fans and social media peeps. The Lakers are doing the work behind the scenes that they need to do without making a monumental mistake like we did with Rus.
Great pickup by the lakers. NBA ready
Facts
Dalton chonnect and now this are good ass players
Agreed
We really can win some games with him
He can really shoot the lights out that at 6'8
Yes!!
PLAY HIM,especially if he shows promise in the summer league...
I can see him actually getting some minutes
nice addition he has talent and height.
He is a Lakers let's go Lakers
If all we can sign is players that aren't in the league might as well rebuild
For real
We've had to choose from the Dung Heap ever since LeEGO banished all those 1st round draft picks from the successful rebuild, before Jeannie Buss sold her soul to him.
That's what they are doing. They won't come out & admit it
Your wrong it’s all about development why do a full rebuild when they can learn the game with your two stars still playing at a high level it will fast track his growth
@@Dollaupt how long will it take for this group to win a championship 🤔
Blake is our 2nd rd pick 😂😂 lol
All eyes on Colin!.
He’s going to be better than Finney Smith
Lol stop....we don't know how rookies translate to the NBA
I watch NCAA basketball extensively, BUT I DON'T REMEMBER SEEING HINSON PLAY AT ALL!!!! Based on his stats, I look forward to watching him play for the Lakers!!!
Should have drafted him and picked up Bronny on a 2way!
2 way players don't get 4 year guaranteed contracts. ftm, NO 2nd Round Pick EVER got a 4 yr contract, let alone a guaranteed contract. You could never work for Klutch Sports, LeEGO and his squeeze, Jeannie, wouldn't give you the time of day, but welcome your money.
Bronny is 4 years younger and more upside. Remove that Bronny is Lebrons son and you wouldn't be saying this. Also it's better to get Hinson undrafted because he will be dirt cheap for like the next 7 years.
@@jameschan96342nd rd picks have got 4 year deals before
Love this pickup Hinson also can get his own shot off the dribble and shoots a high percentage behind the arc.
Lakers, have three players , that were not drafted, one
Might be a GEM. If so?
Lakers will be lucky.
This is a good pick up we just need him to shoot and play average defense he doesn't have to be a star just shoot in the 40% range from 3 like he did in college
Blake is one of the best shooters still has room for improvement
HIMson!
Keep him lakers
For Blake to get minutes he would have to go off in summer league and preseason. If the Lakers win summer league then they truly won the draft
Max Lewis better watch his back cuz Hinson can take his spot with his great shooting.
Not likely think about it the Lakers don't have to get an all stars
Hinson is definitely coming for the spot. The beauty of Hinson is he's 6"8 so he can slot at the 4
Jj Reddick really want all shooters at all times around lebron and AD.
where to watch that california classic game against kings? wanna see our rookies, sophomores and 2 way players.
Some are on ESPN but I believe most are on spectrum.
I like it. He's a sniper!
Facts
You're wrong about Brunson. He's the exact same player he was coming out of Nova.
Wait, no uproar that an undrafted player got a two year contract before even playing a game??
All depends on health of the players in front of him.
I think it'll depend on A) how good he is in the next year or 2 and B) does Rui and/or vando get traded at some point
If he ain't 7'+ inches.... I don't care at this point what the Lakers do. It's not enough.
As long as the Lakers hold on their 2 lottery picks
Ty do U go to the games? LVSL?
Yes, I'll be at a few of the LVSL games
Emoni Bates & DJ Burns 2-Way guys for CAVS! Even DJ Burns pass on the Lakers to sign deal with Cavs!
Melo
Bronny and Leflop must go
Stop trying these free agent throw aways and go with the young fellas.
Is he gonna see the court?
He might this year but more likely spends the year in the G League and brought up next year as a rotation piece but can see him getting some run this year
Da hell this is all thr lakers have done so far? We are screwed
But if they're on a two-way contract, he can only play so many games in the NBA right?
Correct, he can only play I believe it's 52 games as a 2 way.
And still no center. Way to go Rob
It's early
They still not winning 😢😢😢
Neither is Dallas ..so they in the same boat
So why wasnt he taken?
He's 24 years old
Who?
You'll find out who very soon
He’s ready to play now but these idiots signed Bronny to a guaranteed contract and he’s nowhere near ready
Crazy
That's so true. Yes, Blake Hinson, a prolific scorer and even Mohammed Diarra and Jamarion Sharp, both a legit center and defensive specialist. these three are NBA ready. Where's the Lakers' legacy?
Bronny will play better than Jalen Hood lol
How do you know Bronny not ready do you be in the gym and at practice with him ? Also they signed Blake so you bitching for no reason 🤦🏾♂️ Get your life together stop hating on a 19 year old kid goofy
Why you mad, it’s not your money?
Can he play defense?
Yes, he averaged like 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks for his college career and was a physical Defender. Obviously his defense has to translate to the NBA and you won't know for sure until he plays but he should be atleast solid.
so this is the best move that can lakers do? 🤣
We will see
Thanks to the James family we’re screwed
If u belueve thsy ur really stupid
How? Stop being a hater, if you actually knew anything about the situation those player options that were picked up has them screwed
James family got y’all another ring
People be just hating on that man and his family. We are screwed because Rob be signing these crazy contracts with player options on them. Lebron got us a ring and some playoff runs at least.
@@KangTheory🤡
Why a 2 way if he comes out ballin he can't play in the playoffs
Melo 2.0
Who?????
You'll find out soon
Ignorant Laker Fans, (every year): 'Oh, Please, God, send us some DECENT help!'
LeEGO: 'Eff that, give ME another MAX contract!'
Blake Henson??? DA Lakers are screwed!!! May as well have signed Jim Henson and da rest of the Muppets. SMH
Just say you don't know who Blake Hinson not Henson is and move on smh
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lakers are dumpster diving again. Zero high quality free agents signed this off season. What a fail by Pelinka.
NBA GMs are idiots!!! How do people like this go undrafted! How do u not draft someone who shoots 42% that’s ridiculous
Because he's 24 which I think is silly also but they loss is our gain
@@AISTheLakersShow still makes no sense lookin at the nba now u can tell not many teams draft well
SIGNING NOBODIES. TERRIBLE ROSTER THIS.
🗑️ 😂😂😂😂😂 Laughable 😂😂😂 I love watching Lakers demise!! 😂😂😂😂
TOP 10 PICK ??? Come on man sometimes you sabotage your own credibility. He is a very solid player and a nice free agent signing but undrafted to a fringe lottery pick because he is 24 years old???
Dalton Knecht was a consensus top 6 pick because he was looked at as the best now player and dropped to 17 for being 23 years old. Guys like Filipowski went from a top 10 pick to second round. Whitmore was anywhere from the 3rd to 5th pick in last years draft and fell to 20th. If Blake Hinson was a few years younger in this draft would of absolutely been a potiential top 10 pick. No one's sabotaging their own credibility because you don't understand what a 24 year old means compared to even a 23 or 22 year old lol. Reed Sheppard went 3rd in the draft at 6"3 and came off the bench for Kentucky in all but 5 games but was 20 years old but Hinson 6'8, get a bucket and lead the Nation in several shooting categories wouldn't have been top 10 if he was a few years younger? In this terrible draft? Come on dude gotta actual think and look at the situation. Smh
@@AISTheLakersShow You wrote all that shit about dudes dropping into slots still in the first round. Name one more player that due his age only dropped from a projected first round end of lotto level draft pick to an un- drafted free agent - Ill wait. You can save the fluff for the suckas. I agree that if a team is looking at two talented players and there is a 2 to 4 year difference in age then they would take the younger player. That makes perfect sense but you just can't sell me on a guy being a late lotto pick talented going undrafted for 40+ picks due totally to their age. Maybe if you said age and some off the court issues I could buy it. An ACC guy 6'8 that shoots 42% plus from three in a league that is begging for shooters doesn't fall completely out of the draft because he is 24 years old.
Old News come on with this lame crap.
This literally happened like 12 hours ago goofy
EXLAKERS FAN LEWALK IS A JOKE 🎪
Too old to begin the training he is.
He's NBA Ready now which is why the Lakers took him but they have a full roster currently. He likely comes up next season
Lakers signed someone? 😂😂😂 Lakers are going to be GARBAGE!!!! After this year window is closed!!!
We will see still very early
😂 more leftovers nobody wants Fakers 🎉
Just say you don't know who he is and move on smh
