Being a band that has played such a fundamental and formative part of my development as an individual, it is such a beautiful thing to see DCFC still killing it with inspired, fresh and new sounds while staying true to everything that makes their music so nostalgic to those of us who basically grew up with their sound as one of the most meaningful soundtracks to our everyday lives in a Day and Age so disconnected from the soulful, melancholic magic this band has always captured so wonderfully

Me and my girlfriend just broke up and I was setting up my new apartment and decided to listen to the new album for background noise. The “Kiss me just this one last time Tell me that you once were mine" really hit me. I wanted to instantly cry. Heart break is an experience of death. Relationships I believe are spirits outside of just ourselves and when the relationship dies it truly is a loss of a life.
Everything ends; life goes on, but when one door closes.....
I had a similar experience my gf and I broke up around the time the album came out and after I decided to listen to the album that exact same line hit me hard too. Coincidentally this song is my favorite from the album
SOngs really suck when you're going thru it and you feel like the song's are singing to you directly. I feel you. But know it won't last forever and you'll look back at this and see how far you've come. Give it time. Source: a divorcee remarried for 22 years after he thought life was over.

Never really been a huge Death Cab fan but the lyrics of this song are absolutely incredible.
First heard this song acoustic on their livestream and instantly thought it was a banger. Couldn't be more satisfied with the studio version.
