Awesome build and first intro to the product. Long time woodworker and cyclist and looking to build my kids a model using 8spd bike gearing and 24v electric power (to teach them the basics of shifting, cause you don't need to shift with electric power). Can't weld though. But this unlocks endless possibilities for the frame that I was otherwise stymied by! Thanks for the DETAILED walk through of the build including the "non-traditional" uses like the pitman arm!
This build was done by a customer so we don't have the build plans for it unfortunately. His channel is DIYEK if you want to reach out and see if he has plans that he could share with you. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help!
0:10. im interested. The ad even made me click and wonder. Months later, you've been selected by my autoplay to play now. Get ten seconds in, now i just wanna know how much ? lol
We never got a final total from Alex but I would estimate about $500-$700 total. I could be way off as I don't know too much about the parts he used, but the frame would be about $150 worth of conduit and connectors.
Thanks for the comment Mr. Sims. Welding is great if you have the skillset and tools. Alex wanted a different solution and came up with this frame for his go-kart.
Thanks for the feedback. This was more of an informational video for people interested in building one for themselves. We hope to get Alex back in the shop one day and get more action shots!
Wow, that is incredibly cool! Another example that the sky is the limit with your products!
Thanks Ethan! You should build one just so you can do a custom leather steering wheel! #unnecessaryleather
@@MakerPipe Hahaha now you're talking!
Awesome machine ! Excellent craftsmanship and unique use of Maker Pipe ! Love this video !
Agreed! They did a great job with the build. Thanks for checking it out.

I will do thank you so much i appreciate your help
Looked into welding, looked into PVC, but EMT with MakerPipe is quite suitable for a kart chassis!
Glad you found us! Thanks for the comment
UM WOWWWWWWW
It's pretty sick!
Nice to see you supporting smaller creators 👍
Omg! This is amazing!
Glad you like it Daniel!
Nice build👍
How much will all material cost me.. im going to build one myself looks fun
Wanted to know how he mounted the 1" axle to the emt pipes... adding a motor to emt is a game changer.
very cool
Thanks for watching Tony
Where can I find a guide to build that go kart
Are there plans for this or anyway I could make it?

Couple of questions. First is how much? Second what's the range? Third is could this be made with a 60v 3000w motor and battery? Nice vid
Thanks! Reach out to Alex at DIYEK for the tech questions. I’m guessing more voltage would be MORE better! 🤓
Let's see you do a "Maker Pipe" Recumbent bike.
That sounds like a fun build/challenge!
I want to make one
If we can help you with the build or planning let us know!
That dude is a YAPoholic
I want with safety belt
Did you see Alex's seat belt design in the video? I think he did a great job with it.
Safety belt is generally frowned upon in a kart like this. Better to be thrown than to flip and be ground into the pavement with kart stuck to you.
Pipe size ?
Hi Brian our connectors fit 3/4" EMT Conduit. Let us know if you have any other questions.
what are the lengths of pipe you have and where?
Hi Nathan, our connectors are designed to fit 3/4” emt conduit which is locally found at almost every hardware/home improvement store.
Terrible camera work, seriously bad. But I love this product and this man's inventive use of it
Glad you enjoyed the build 🤙
That test drive was weakkkkkkkk
We ran out of time that day, but hopefully we can get Alex in the shop again to show it off some more!
Change the title this is not diy
Aye aye captain
I am living in India give me a one gokart please
Helm, Gurt....... BADELATSCHEN...
ohne Worte.. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Welding has been around over 100 years this video is a joke.

A little bit boring.

Actually this is not a DIY upload , time waste
I guess everyone has a different idea of DIY, but in my book Alex’s build is 1000% awesome and certainly a “Do It Yourself” build! 👍
