This is a scene from "Érase una vez...", a film directed by Alexandre Cirici-Pellicer based on Charles Perrault's Cinderella. Cinderella's pageboys and dog are dressed up like ghosts to frighten the mean step-sisters. The scene was created and animated by Josep Escobar (1908-1994). Esta película creo que fue dirigida x Escobar, el genial creador de "Zipi y Zape" y "Carpanta" entre otros ¿Existe aún la versión completa?

Nya, sí. De hecho están restaurando la versión en color. Hay muchas ganas de verla en todo su esplendor ^^ Otra película de animación española por la que hay curiosidad es "Los sueños de Tay-pi", que se creía totalmente desaparecida pero al final parece que hay una copia en un archivo madrileño, aunque no se sabe en qué estado.

What a beautiful and fascinating glimpse at one of the first European animated feature films! Where can I see the film in full and in color? Is it going to be restored for Blu-Ray in Spain?

The restoration of the film will start on 2015 in the Filmoteca de Barcelona, so maybe in a couple of years we can have it ready for screening. It takes time and money!

That's great to hear! Did you find a colour print? Do you know about any surviving print of "Los Sueños de Tay-Pi"?

There is a copy in the Filmoteca de Madrid, but I don't know if it's in good screening conditions.
