@@3DMaker2024-i Hi Ive had some time, and ive try again. This time at the 3 way switch on k9 .ive selected feed. tpu filament loaded, heated up and extruded a stream of hot tpu filament on the bed. Good this is working. Next select mid position to park, and the begin the print. after 15-30 seconds it begin motion to print the raft for the Rocket benchy! This continues .I let it go do its thing and print. But no hot tpu filament is coming out or extruded. only motion for print mode try to print the Raft. No filament being deposit onto Bed. I will stop the process and try again on my Other K9 printer. I have two units to use. if this fails again. will have a think to use another Brand/ Roll Tpu filament. Fingers Crossed. HaHa?
@@richardoverton57 I have been printing with TPU successfully at 220c. The retraction settings need to be adjusted based on what I've read. I changed the retraction distance to 3.0mm and the retraction speed to 20mm and I've had no issues with clogging. It also depends on what type of tpu you use because there are different harnesses. I'm using cheap "AMOLEN" branded stuff
@@garrettbatista5991 Thanks for your advice. Appreciate! You speak off Retraction Settings? distance and speed. What Slicer softwares are you using to acomplish This.? for the K9 printer. The Easywares as comes with the printer or something else, like Cura as example? Thank You.
@@richardoverton57 Retraction, Speed and Distance settings can be found in both Easyware, Cura and most other slicers. In Easyware you have to click the custom tab which is below the one-key tab.
I basically used the "NO BED" profile you get when you load the K9 printer settings from the K9.3mf file you get. and reduced the infill to 5% and increased wall count to 3. for this.
Thanks for the reply. Have you tried printing larger flat objects? Yesterday I was trying to print a small screw organizer tray and I have issues with rough surfaces and bumps. I probably need to adjust some settings.
