Love Hsgi. I run their battle belt and tacos. Nothing but great things to say about them. I alternate between my AR and AK and it's so nice not having to have two setups for each. Tacos hold both types of mags great even during running and gunning. Quality gear.

Can you do a seperate test actually involving tacos? I'm kind of disappointed you didn't get your tactical taco on. You never know when you might get hungry in the middle of a firefight.
I bet that thing can hold 4-8 tacos, no problem. Pistol slot for hot sauce of course.

Very nice stuff! I have them on an HSGI battle belt. One thing though, you have to have the patience of a saint when dealing with the malice clips, especially on their battle belt (the pals webbing is closer together than on your plate carrier. Great video!
Those look pretty nice. I’ve been pondering the G-code once I get a chest rig or plate carrier. Right now I’m running with Esstac pouches on my battle belt, but might look into one of these along side the G-codes to see which one I like better. Good video.

I put my Tocos on an Infidel ware belt, it was a pain in the butt to get them on but once they were on, yea buddy it rocks!
Don, have you seen the Regulation Tactical mag pouches? Made in the USA by a Combat Veteran. He filled a niche that was needed in combat and made dump pouches obsolete. I run them on my AR carrier and they are simply amazing.

I love the HSGI Taco's they just arent easy to move...get some extra malice clips in case you mess one up when moving around you setup.

Might have just found something for my vepr 54 mags , might have to try it .
Works great for original Steyr AUG mags. The locking lug on the AUG mags doesn't work well with many pouches, either won't fit at all or hangs up when you try to remove from the pouch. These work great though.
So you'd recommend these?

It seems to be a good system, but I'm seeing that it isn't fast accessible to remove or to put on the armor plate carrier. It needs to be fast removable or to put on the vest with out tools for reasons if tools were not accessible in the field if other problems occurred! But all in all it looks like a Kewl system!
I have some old m4 mag pouches and of course they hold 556 mags but I've had ak mags no problem, and now I'm holding 308 mags in them with no issues and they are 1/2 the cost of these .-.

It's been a while Scootch. How are these pouches holding up? Was there anything that needed replacing after a while? I like these, I hate to buy them and have them fail and the company go out of business....maybe I should buy a bunch for repair. Maybe you could do a quick follow up vid on this product. O Sasuke wondering If I fan put MP5, MP7 or Glock-18 magazines (if they won't fall from There) in these rifle pouches. I calculated that you can carry up to twice as rounds of 5.56mm with 4.6x30mm, or 2.5 times on the same with 9mm . I'm sure PS-90 mags will fit just like the AR-15, once they are from the same size.
These are really an awesome product, however I have found one mag that does have some interference. My SIG 551A1 mags will get hung up on the inside of the pouch, I found that the stitching on the top portion needs extra stitching. The mag clamp connector gets buried underneath. I'm thinking some glue will cure the problem.
Gidday Sootch, would the larger magazine pocket fit/retain the DPX H.E.S.T knife and kydex sheath you have reviewed? Im thinking about buying the Double (Rifle/Pistol) Pouch to add to the side webbing on my SOE Micro Shotgun Rig. I want to run the Hest in the large pocket and my Surefire torch in the smaller pistol pouch as you've demonstrated. Thanks in advance for the reply.

Sootch, Do you think I can use SKS mags in these? I am thinking of getting myself another plate carrier and I want to put my SKS mags on it but I can't find a mag pouch that works for them.

Was thinking about buying the ones with 2 riffle pouches. any problems with mags coming loose and falling out because the pouches to have a top? i run D n h gi mags which are obviously a bit thinner than any of those polymer mags.

Will all that cordage get hung up on stuff in the woods? Looks like a snag factory even for other equipment. Not putting it down just a concern. Any real world use on it,or just range gear/use?
Will these fit the Vepr 12 gauge mags? I've been looking for a few mag pouches for my home defense weapon of choice and I have yet to find any company that says their product will fit the 12 gauge mags. I guess if it will fit .308 mags it will likely fit these 12 gauge mags but it would be good to know for sure before ordering three or four of them.

with the hk mags if i pull one out will the other one stay in because thats the current problem im having with AR500s other 308 mag holder is my second magazine gets caught on the one im removing and it comes out accidentaly

Yes. He demonstrated a G3 mag in the video. At 2:18 he is using G3 mags.

i have their battle belt and its KICK ASS. i was wondering if these would work well for a plate carrier. how do you think their triple stack mag pouch would work on a chest rig? it holds 2 rifle mags and 1 pistol mag.
It would be do-able. The big issue would be going prone but the pouches ride close to the carrier so I'll have to see before I could say. Thanks~
The Triples lose some of their quickness. I prefer double deckers(either 1rifle/1pistol or 2rifle) on chest and singles on belt.
Steve Holt you could always make multiple loadouts. have a heavy, med, light or whatever.
