I always find these drive units tricky to put back together. I changed diesels motor to a twin shaft mach dash pro and added a brass flywheel to the back but it sticks out of the bodyshell. Perhaps a thinner flywheel would allow it all to be concealed in the body.
Yes I have watched that video. Very interesting engine with those mods. Question I've had for a while, you use a lot of power dash motors, which do you find better, the power dash or mach dash?
TrainsByS&C Hi I only have the one mach dash and its the pro version with twin shaft and I have only ever ran it with the flywheel on it. So I really can't judge but the specs seem to be very similar and a good mix of battery consumption vs power/speed. Also mach dash are very hard to find and are expensive when found (at least from ebay). I have some hyper dash 3 to try soon too, they have silver carbon brushes that claim to be more efficient.
Oh ok. I have only used hyper dash 2's. I got quite a few of them off amazon for maybe $4.50 each with free shipping. Probably won't find that good of a deal again but the next order I make I will either try power dash or the hyper dash 3
I have to replace 2 motors from trackmaster trains but on eBay , they sell different model of motor. I mean motor with different rpm. Wich RPM should I have for the model with the single AA battery operated train engine? (Thomas and the other is James) Thanks!
I wouldn't go too crazy with the rpm unless you find a way to weigh down the engine. The wheels spin and are not very practical on a typical layout. I would try a Tamiya power dash motor with a single shaft. The hyper dash 2 motors work great but they don't like corners when pulling a long load. Hope this helps
It makes the newer trackmasters go a lot faster because it's geared directly to the axle rather than going through a gearbox and being geared down like all the older ones

TrainsByS&C How about ultra dash?
Since the face is off, you could paint it a nice mahogany like color, which would similar to the Panniers in real life. Black would be good too.
That is cool dude you should do that on Gordon Conner and caitlin and spencer
You could paint it either dark green or black
You should do dark green like real British trains
you could paint it dark green oliv green
brown and gold
This helped me And my Duck model

The hyper dash 2 is getting rare
I know right! I could only find Power dash, and Hyper dash 3 on Amazon.
Duck The Great Western Engine
can you do it on thomas ?
Yes
How come when people say motor swaps make your tm trains go faster but it just looks like the same speed before
It makes the newer trackmasters go a lot faster because it's geared directly to the axle rather than going through a gearbox and being geared down like all the older ones
Wear do you guys find the parts?
@@river94 do you know where to find the parts? Like better motors or replacement wheels?
Where's Duck's Face I Lost It Sadly And Missing Stickers
I don't have smoke alarms or soldering iron because I am 11 years old and my dad doesn't have soldering iron
Paint him a whistle
and then use Duck's original motor for your TM2 trains
Great idea! I just got my son a bunch of Track Master 2 trains and was looking for a way to speed them up
My tomy thomas was broken but I bought a new tomy thom0as
What happened to this guy?
put a nine volt in duck
Duck
I broke my duck cuz of this when I was young :(
do you even have the money to sue them?
no i spent it all on mcdonalds
can I have ducks original motor please
This Duck is boring because it doesn't have the signs or a face.
The stickers and face were removed so I can repaint it, which was stated in the video.
