Keep things rusty, except your tools!
I’m not a dodge guy, but that’s a cool little truck. Definitely worth fixing up.
These trucks are my passion! Wish more people made videos of them. Maybe some more old dodge content? 😅
Not a bad truck really. Definitely worth fixing up.
* Ya Gotta Exercise 'Em !!! Yes that is a nice little pickup. And yes it is a Mopar. And yes the 727 was they're best trans ! 👊😎👍
I love those old Dodge trucks. I've got a '93 with the Cummins. Same basic truck. Last of the true old body trucks.
I Love these old MOPAR videos. I had a new 79 W150. I wished I never let it go. Let’s see you Bring her back to Daily driver status.
Had an 82' with a slant six & a 4 speed granny low. Hauled a bunch with it, but not fast. Was a good truck.
That’s the best truck I’ve seen on the channel.
My Dad had a 77 3/4 ton 2wd with a 318. It was a great truck. It hauled a lot of cords of firewood.
BYA, that's a very solid unit that should run forever! My dad had a 51 Dodge panel that I should have kept after he gave it to me in 1959 but I wanted a car so the story goes. I appreciate your critique of the narrow cab in your step-side. Being a 6 footer I felt the same way about the ole 51. Cool video!
I love the Chrysler Corporation trucks!!! I have a 1985 Dodge W150 short bed , 318 with the 727 tranny. I love it. It gets 6 to 8 mpg around town!!! Thank you for sharing your Petty Blue truck!! Please, please change the engine oil !!! Stay safe my friend and God bless you and yours!!!!! Eddy
I Always loved the sound of those older mopar staters.
🤠👍
What a great little truck! Rebuild that 318 and wake it up! I can see a 4x4 drifting rally truck on all those gravel roads! Big fun
I have always had a soft spot for these little single cab step sides, they're just cool, and the classic feel of this one is perfect. They must not use salt , the roads up there, the trucks never seem to be all that rusty. Kinda jealous tbh 😅
I like these old stepside Dodges. That color drew me to eatch this video.
Best truck I've seen you work on so far
Not bad decent old Tin grill Dodge with the bird bath hood sounds good I like it
that is a nice truck buddy! Can't wait to hear the ol Hercules in that stude again..
Love those old dodges
God damn I commented before I even watched 30 seconds of the vidya but that is the best rattle can job I've ever seen, doesn't hurt that she's color matched with the gravel and dirt roads a bit. From an outsiders perspective she looks likes a runner anybody would be lucky to have. Just would take time and monies which is the bane of all daily's. Good luck with her, I know she's in good hands!
Nice old Dodge!
It’s a shame trucks like these ever lost their rule on our highways. They’re all beautiful, but this one is quite the find! It’s funny to learn about the questionable design choices that were made back then.
Nice looking Dodge. My third vehicle what is a t 2 Wheel Drive 1978 Dodge warlock, I love that old truck
That is a pretty solid old rig. Definitely looks like it's worth some effort to church it up some.
Nice looking 77. Real nice shape for the age. Looking forward to the refresh videos
I have a 77 w100 with the 8 for bed and 318. Amazing truck!
What a treat. Good ol' 318. Fill it with oil and check the gas, it will out last You. Just put a 383 with a 440 crank behind that 727 and it will draw Your attention... Best Wishes. 👌🏼
Nice old truck
That's the best truck you own !!!
Those W100s are a beast, they are fun to drive and work with, had one down in North Carolina as a longbed, same config, 318, w/ the 727, never failed on me (until I loaned it to a mate)
finally got that thing ready to rebuild, tho I replaced the small 241 with a beefy 205, and running 318 heads on a 360, bumps the compression and gets some low end out of it
My Alaskan W200 should be running in the coming months, that lil 225 and NP435/205 will make her a cruiser
LMFAO- hey bro! a 60/60 paint job is best in all books.................60 feet at 60 mph looks splendid🤣
My Dads Valiants back in the 60s and 70s had that same starter sound but they were all slant six engines. He put a lot of miles on those cars. Some went over 300,000 miles. I always wanted one of the 60s or 70s half ton dodge trucks with the slant six engine.
I would allow the story to remain. Rattle can her again, bed line the cab, and rebuild the bed floor. She has character and deserves just enough to be an old tale to tell.
Didn't even know you had an old tin grill with the birdbath hood. These trucks are pretty desirable lately. I had the same steering wheel on my '74 W200 Sno-Fiter, and those same spoke wheels on my short bed power wagon. The price people are paying now for these 70s Dodges make them kinda unattainable, or at least not all that available anymore. I've been looking for another buildable one for a few years now. Cool old rig, other than the typical Dodge wiring.
They are out there but some folks are hoarding them and that's what pisses me off when some folks buy them up to sit around and wait till they do something with them and yet they keep buying more every chance they can. I got a guy near me like that just a hoarding prick is what I call him.
Sharp looking truck
I’ve got a 77 3/4 ton I’m going through right now been off the road since 95 and sat in a barn for about 10 years. Poured gas in the bowls pumped up the tires and drove it home. Hard to beat an old Dodge
Please make a video. 😊
I might one day. I’ve got enough work to do on it I could have a year of content. It’s gonna make an awesome truck it’s a 360 4 speed. Currently working on the brakes so I can add some whoa to the go it’s got haha
Finally got a brief walk around of the rig up in short form if you wanna go check it out. I filmed it funny but it’ll work for now haha
Yeah Brother, I never seen this one before. Back in '77 my very first job was a butcher shop and the owner's son had a really nice '76 Power Wagon with the 400ci and 4 speed. I always loved that truck - he would drive me home after the work day was over. Made a big impression on this 15 year old kid. Thanks Bro!
nice entertaining video - this cool truck sounds great !
My father had an 77 Dodge Power Wagon back in the day!
It been awhile since I've seen you get the old dodge out,, good looking old pickup 👍 👍 👍 👍
Nice truck I like short box.. 318 always dependable.. Thank for neat content..
Bout time ya did a walk about on the w100 for us!
I liked those old LiL Red Trucks like that. With the Stacks up both sides of the Cab..You should make it one of those trucks. I dont think they ever made a 4x4 but Im not sure. My memory isnt what it used too be..Great little Rig..It just amazes me how well those old trucks are up North. Something like that would be nothing but a Pile of rust here in PA...LOL..HAHA ..Great Rig and Video Bud ..
Ya they did
Dad had a '78 Ram Charger with a 360 back in the 80s, that thing was a tank.
Good old Dodge. The 318 is a bullet proof motor. I've a 2001 Dodge with the 318 and a 5 speed manual it has 240 thousand on the same drive train. They are a bit of a dog but durable and there should never be carpet on a truck floor solid rubber like they used to be. Another great video keep them coming!!
I was wondering where this truck went. Glad you still have it.
Thanks for that my father love them trucks
Nice little truck.!!
I would like to buy it. But I'm to far. Puerto vallarta😰mexico
Not a Dodge guy really, but the pre 1980's are my favorites.
Yea I bet your a dime a dozen ford/chevy fan boy I'm sure😂
I have a soft stop for these trucks, those step side beds look amazing!
Good looking Truck! I would clean up the interior and put some twin chrome stacks on it.
Nice truck, love the sound of the starter...GM/ starters always sounded bad to me like the battery was dying lol...Fords sounded like a dying bird..today they all sound the same, was neat back in the day you knew what a car was by the sound of the starter and even the engine! Yes a GM driving by sounded different than a Ford or Mopar..
Classic
Spring time still has deep snow.
Dodge isn't bad it's the wiring tends to light up
I run a 79 power wagon with big block 6 inch stacks with 4speed long box 9 foot 10 inch tall on 285's heater works great like being in a Sona nothing wrong with calico body panels
Very nice car,the Dodge, it's a shame, I'm living to far away from you, I'm sure we would have a lot of fun with all those old cars🤩👍👍.
But we have internet,so I'm driving your cars virtually😉😂😂.
Salut de France👋🥖🇫🇷
I can see the lineage from our old '47. Pretty truck I like the Dent on the G
Very cool truck. Gotta love them old Mopars 👌
I am a really a true dodge fan. Its sounds real good. I like the color you put on the old girl. She seems to. Want to run. I like the 318. Thank you for sharing. Until next time.
I had a '76 metallic green with a 318 myself. Unfortunately, it was totaled sitting in a parking lot by a semi-truck. I don't know about the health of your motor, but I can tell you the Carter carb on top of it needs to go. It is wrong in so many ways. I suggest a new intake and four-barrel, nothing crazy or you will drown it. The difference was night and day for me.
Old trucks 👍
I had a '77 W300 for a while. I also had a '77 F-250 but I'm not sure if it was a highboy or not, it had a 351M engine but also had a divorced 205 transfer case. Both of them had Holmes wrecker beds. One of the local towing companies used them for recovering stolen cars from swamps. They were cool as hell but so damn rusty.
Awesome. Yeah a divorced transfer case is a highboy. Wasn’t until late 1977 until they married them together.
Love the old dodge if it wasn't so far away I would make a offer on it but I think all of your old trucks are cool! I like your red HI boy but I shared it with a buddy a couple weeks ago and he is still drooling over it
I sure would like to see this truck sitting in my driveway!!!
That's a sweet little truck. It would look great in the original green.
I LIKE ALL 4X4 TRUCKS / AND THAT DODGE IS A NICE ONE / AND IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH IT / I HOPE YOU FIND SOME MORE OLD 4X4 TRUCKS TO SHOW US / THANKS FOR SHARING
Good candidate for a Lil Red Express or Warlock clone. BTW: Look up "firehosing" in regards to filming.
That's a pretty sweet truck. I'd definitely rock that.
Sweet rig. Living the dream. Look forward to more!
Very cool truck!!
My 97 Dodge Dakotas been having electrical problems. i got the computer re maned, and it worked for about a month and died again. Dodge, Dodge, always in the garage. lol
Nice looking Dodge. Would like to see it in its original color. The oil leak if the oil is all over the top of the engine. Check out the oil sending unit. It is on the top of the engine towards the back. They have a diaphragm in them that can go bad. I had a 75 Plymouth car that had the 318 in it. It was leaking oil. Ended up being that sending unit.
Nice truck!
always loved 70s/80s dodge theyre a lot like GM's cousin in the sense of interchangability. Shame the cabs rot out so badly on the roof or id of probably gotten more into them
Funny thing I was just thinking about this ol girl in the last few videos you uploaded and assumed you sold her off since you had multiple other daily driver trucks. I'm glad to see that you obviously have your preferences in old ferds (like I do) and even older WWII era GM Trucks. But at the end of the day, old iron is old iron and all of it is worth saving and appreciating it for what it is. Looking forward to the next one as always.
I’ll take a step side any time😁😁👍👍
I like that truck.
These are pretty rare to come by, especially in such a decent condition. It would surely look great if refurbished, still nice the way it is now though. 😉
This old man is a ford man but give this year mopar its due... I seen them with a sign on the doors, little "color" truck outlined on them as in little red truck or what ever color it came down the line as ... I believe that they only had like three or four different colors they came in. Its the bed of those rigs that made them right popular with a varnish covered wood floor in the bed and then on the outside was wood strips that was also varnished so it followed that theme on them. They also had stacks on the sides with chrome muffler guards and the top of each stack was a curve that turned out to add to its day and time popular look. Also those interiors had a lot of varnished wood accents. I ran across one with a leaning tower of power in it and it had only one stack hooked up and the other one was just decoration. I do know that when they come up for sale, the price tag of a say thousand dollar rig just got another zero added to the price of them. Them that are this nice of shape (Google one) just needs the bed fixed up so it looks like they did back then and a kind of resemblance of the harley bike signs was outlining the name on the door. I seen one in a video that was black and boy howdy... this ford man could of rocked it just fine
The parts that hold water on the hood, people call them birth baths jjjsss . We have some in our family. 73 w200, 76 w100, 78 d100 3 on the 🌳 and 92 ram charger.
Nice!
Like the looks of that Dodge maybe rebuild engine.
I never liked the look of those trucks. I'm not sure why. But by the end of the video, it started growing on me.
A guy living in such a tropical paradise needs a topless Jeep to bomb around in. 😂
To solve your Mopar starter issues a 1995 Dodge v6 magnum Dakota both bolts to the top and bottom and has the same wiring as well .
Years ago I worked with a feller who had a similar truck. He even painted his blue also but with a paint gun. On the farm we used a Power Wagon with 225 6 banger and 4 speed. Pulled many a hopper wagon full of corn out of the field. If you could get to roll it would pull just about anything. AL B.
The dodge bird bath hood
Was subbed the whole time and didn’t even know 😂😂
Small world! 😂😂
Dude you got a Dimond Mopar step side big money truck
I'd drive it till the wheels fell off it! Just like it is!
Anything mechanical would get a once over, and the rest could ride!!
Nice old truck!
“318 likes to drink oil and gas………but….I mean, it sounds good.” LMFAO! BTW……….it DOES sound good! You’re killin’ me Smalls!
Great video man
I had a 74 Tradesmen 200 Van with said starter and the gutless 318
That is definitely a cool old truck!
You got some cool rigs, keep it up
That's an interesting way to fix dodge wiring.
You should put some stacks on it like the little red express trucks have or the Warlocks I have a 1979 with the same box and I put stacks on it with straight pipe mufflers and it sounds good and I'm running a 318 in it but mine is healthy with a thump cam in it pushing 11to 1 compression with a set of trick flow heads the thing boogies it's all black with black interior and has a a tuff wheel with lill red bucket seats. That truck you got could be killer if you do it right but sounds like your not much of a Mopar guy like I am anyway it's a awesome truck you have there 77 is one of my favorite years.
That looks like one of the Green Warlocks. To my knowledge only the warlock and warlock 2 came out in that green(or black or gold)
Good truck to make into a Little red express or warlock clone.
Oh this engine sound... Likey...
