    Love this video! The commentary is so realistic and not scripted! The reference to Chrysler is EXACTLY what I've said several times. That poor jeep really is a trooper, the fact it still ran with that chocolate oatmeal for so long...Unbelievable! Had me laughing entire time. Thank you..Funniest thing I've seen in long time!

    In order for your XJ to run at optimal performance ensure use a 30/30/30 coolant mix
    Antifreeze, Water, And Rust

    the flushing with a hose totally fixed my radiator, it was all brown and nasty. I let it run til it was coming out clean, then turned on the engine and let it run til the thermostat engaged, let it keep running and it cleaned it out some more. Engine didnt over heat, I turned it off, let it run some more and put the petcock back in, filled the radiator back up, drove around and no more over heating :D thank you so much my guy!

    Wow! Amazing video! Humorous, informative...thanks man! Not sure why you would just let the water flow all over the engine for the flush? Also, I heard a "tic" noise while the engine was running at about (7:43) on the video. I have the same "tic" noise in my engine and am curious as to what it is! Great video! I'm subscribing....

    Holy shit. That was really bad. I would inspect the freeze plugs. Flushed my xj doing the heater core and a few months later one in the side of the block blew. I also happened to use prestone cleaner when I did the flush which probably disloged the remaining stop leak/sludge that sealed the failing plug. That whole system honestly is probably going to start developing leaks of mine tough me anything. 4.0I is tough as shit though.

    vinegar water fill....for the radiator...then flush again.
    eats the rust complete and covers it with a coat inside.
    but...as what ive just seen it might eat a hole into it......better to get a new one or a rebuild.
    good job on the starter....
    man...i would just say...trow it and get a new car.

    I Currently have a 95 jeep Cherokee sport and the engine seems to be heating up but once I hit 65 mph above the temperature goes back to normal until I go any slower. Been thinking if flushing out the antifreeze would help.

  • @Se7enAte
    @Se7enAte 7 років тому

    I'm having some strange cooling issues on my 89. Long story short I'm pretty sure the heads cracked. Did a compression and leakdown test and got 80-90 psi compression and 25% leakdown on the worst cylinder. So at this point I'm just gonna save some money and fully rebuild and stroke to 4.7, stage 2 cam kit, and 9.3:1 compression ratio instead of 8.8:1. Gonna use forged pistons and connecting rods, and brand new 4.2 crank for the possibility of a megasquirt and forced induction in the future. Going to be a long process but it'll be a fuckin beast when I'm done

    my heater doesn't work. can I still get a get good flush ? could the heater not working also be a cause for it to overheat?

    • @NickInTimeFilms
      @NickInTimeFilms  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, the whole point of the flush is to clean out the heater core. If it's really clogged then your radiator might also be full of crap. Flush it good and see what improves.

    • @mattmcvinnie5465
      @mattmcvinnie5465 4 роки тому

      @@NickInTimeFilms I flushed it with the same kit even blew out excess water before refill. it was actually pretty clean for the most part. but it still began to overheat after 15 mins. Radiator, water pump, t stat and all hoses connected to cooling system are basically new. I changed them because ive been having overheating issues. Unfortunately my temp gauge was broken so it resulted in a warped cylinder head. I replaced that as well as the temp gauge thinking it would be the end of the overheating but its still overheating. Im not sure where to look now...
      Any ideas?

    Chocolate coolant yummy :-D, hopefully it ran a little cooler with all that junk out of the system :-).
