    Darkness comes. In the middle of it, the future looks blank. The temptation to quit is huge. Don't. You are in good company... You will argue with yourself that there is no way forward. But with God, nothing is impossible. He has more ropes and ladders and tunnels out of pits than you can conceive. Wait. Pray without ceasing. Hope.

      @Savage Banga Wether he's taken up to Heaven or not is not for us to judge. Judas's role in all of this is his flawed understanding of matters. ( and with it come the dire consequences ) But I wouldn't be surprised at all when Jesus Christ has forgiven him in the end. The question is: Will Judas ever forgive himself? In total despair he commits suicide, so he cuts himself off. There was no choice for him; after his betrayal he realises what he has done and he will be cursed for all time. That's some burden ...
      I think therefor that Judas had to 'act' a super difficult role in the Gospel. An archetype role. A man who walks with the twelve; is pàrt of the twelve, all the while reaching for his own conclusions and dares to 'short cut events' (which he doesn't at all, he's misguided, he's of the world; stubborn ).
      And there's something else; Will WE ever forgive him? ... being a nasty mirror image of some parts of ourselves, I mean...

      @Savage Banga Didn't he go crazy and eventually commit suicide? He was paranoid after the betrayal. I don't think he ever asked for forgiveness

      Gina Kelley: Yes I can agree that we see ourselves in them because we all have sinned. That’s why we must become born again in spirit, as a new creation in Christ 2 Corinthians 5:17, or we will not see the kingdom of God. We are to turn from a sinner to a saint living Holy practicing righteousness rather than willful perpetual sin everyday like we use to. Now I deny myself daily pick up my cross and follow Jesus, but (IF) i sin I have a advocate with the Father threw Jesus Christ the righteous, only if I confess and forsake the sin according to scripture. Although a Christian must continually acknowledge and confess sin he, or she is not powerless against it, sin can and should be conquered through the power of the Holy Spirit, (Romans 6:12-14, 8:12, 13). 1 Corinthians 6-9NKJ and Galatians 5:19-21 gives off a list of sins that if we continue to practice such things and die in that state we will not inherit the kingdom of God. Im just giving out some biblical wisdom God bless you and ☮️.

    The 4 things it tells me as a Christian: 1. Jesus knew he would be betrayed by Judas yet picked him as a disciple. 2. He knew the betrayal would lead to His death. 3. He predicted His Resurrection knowing Judas couldn’t harm but only help Him. 4. He revealed there will always be a Judas in the lives of His believers in order to fulfill His wonderful purpose for our life.

    Fascinating thought; Jesus knew someone would betray him, right? What if Jesus told Judas to turn him in? Thus, fulfilling the prophecy and setting Christianity in stone for thousands of years to come. It's hard to believe that his most loyal follower would betray him for gold. But, people are people though.

      @lluuiiss3344 3 роки тому +4

      A person that kills themselves does not allow the process of repentance to to run its course. Judas felt bad about what He did but was supposed to go back and confess and apologize to Jesus. Instead he just killed himself instead of going through the very difficult process of confessing and repenting.

    • @ivornworrell

      @@lluuiiss3344 Based on The Holy Bible I must disagree with you.Jesus Himself said,"All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven you, except the blasphemy against The Holy Ghost" How do you know that he did not repent to Jesus in his dying breath? Further, why did God put His Spirit back into Samson AFTER Samson said "Now let me die with my enemies" ?? For a man to be making the decision as to what sins God will/will not forgive is to TRY to put a limit on the Saving Power of Jesus' Blood.Amen

    • @lluuiiss3344
      @lluuiiss3344 3 роки тому +2

      @@ivornworrell Well going off the story we have in the Bible, there is not enough reason to believe he repented. Repentance is an acted out, it's not just a thought and it does not lead one to suicide but humility and restoration. Sure we can imagine that maybe He repented but if he did repent, I think the Bible would have mentioned it. Still, I cannot say whether or not He was somehow saved before his last breath and thankfully we are not given that task of seperating the wheat from chaff but the story is obviously teaching that Judas did a bad thing and not an example of how God's children should behave. He's definitely not a hero in the story.

    • @ivornworrell
      @ivornworrell 3 роки тому +3

      @@lluuiiss3344 agreed he's def. not a hero, but then again NEITHER is any of us, for "whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
      "Maybe he did confess with his mouth, just like the thief on the cross, but it is also written "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen."So we JUST DON'T KNOW, hence we CANNOT say that Jesus did not have mercy on Judas & forgive him.

    I think Delilah would challenge Judah to that position, Judah, like Delilah, had a job to do and did it very well, he could have repented but he killed a man, himself, because he could not handle the guilt he felt, Delilah, didn't really care that she betrayed Samson on multiple occasions

    We were all once Judas before grace came in the picture. Many times in our lives we betrayed and sold out Jesus for the worldly things, Just like how Judas betrayed Jesus for money we have done the same in our own Selfish ways, wether that be money or other things. Judas is a representative of me and you. Even doe what he did was evil, if he had asked for forgiveness God would have still forgiven him but Judas failed to understand the meaning of repentance but instead clinger on to guilt which caused him to kill himself. Which is something a lot of us Christians do. We choose to not face the consequences of our actions instead we run away from it or make excuses.
    I no longer look at Judas as the bad disciple but as myself. For many of us claim to follow Jesus but when it comes down to it we sell him out for worldly things, just like Judas. Thank you Jesus for conviction 🙏🏾❤️
    We can all blame Judas but each and every one of us played a role in the murder of our Lord Jesus Christ, including you who’s reading this. Our sins is what brought Jesus to the cross. Judas was just the bait to trick the devil into thinking he won. For God needed to catch the enemy by surprise for if the devil knew that Jesus death would save the whole world, he would of never killed him. Judas was very much needed as much as the 11 was.

      Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus
      22 Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching, 2 and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people. 3 Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. 4 And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. 5 They were delighted and agreed to give him money. 6 He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present.

    Judas NEVER Betrayed YHWH. The Bible explicitly says Judas was possessed by Satan & Christ himself commands Satan directly to work quickly. John 13:27 As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.” Speaking to Satan... Human Judas regretted his actions, attempted to repent, returned the silver coins, and blamed himself for Christ's Murder. When Christ Decended to the Land of the Dead, he Released Judas from the grip of Satan. For Satan has No Power over Christ. Jesus took Judas to Heaven. Well Done Good and Faithful Servant, Well Done.

    Insightful as this video is, does not explain why the Romans were after Jesus in the first place, let alone why the Jews were blamed for Jesus being crucified.
    Without going into scripture, where anything can be put together to justify any action, I believe that these following events led to the point of crucifixion.
    1:- Jesus, being a child that maybe could not read or write, went to Roman Priests (who had spent years being educated and learning about the history of the Old Testament) and corrected them about what they learned (resentment would arise by being schooled by a little kid).
    2:- Years later, Jesus came across a corrupt market that was under the control of the Roman Priests, he subsequently tore the place apart in his rage, causing the Romans more problems, which leads them to start setting up ways to capture Jesus without the multitudes of followers.
    3:- Judas plays into the Romans hands and betrays Jesus, only to see the truth after his role had been played and angry mobs were going after those who followed Jesus, he discarded the money and could not see any way of seeking forgiveness, but what he never did was deny being a follower of Jesus, instead he took his own life in his sorrow.
    4:- All through his life, Jesus had never called himself 'King of the Jews', that had been other people, and that was a main topic that Pontius Pilot had used against the people that had not listened to Jesus before, saying that Jesus proclaimed himself as 'King of the Jews' and wanting to rule over them, trying to convince the crowd that Jesus was going to be cruel, so Pontius Pilot gave the people a choice - either free someone who will rule over them with an iron fist or release someone who "accidentally" killed someone and regretted doing it (which was a lie), they chose to release the murderer, and had allowed the freedom to hunt down the followers of Jesus, those that stated they followed him were executed on the spot. 13:55 is where Peter is told that he will deny following Jesus 3 times before the cock crows.

    I do believe that Judas was chosen to do the dirty work, and I believe it because he was chosen by our Saviour to be part of His disciples, another example of that is Paul if you remember he used to prosecute Christ's followers to get them killed, but, then the Lord said, that Paul would be an instrument for the sake of the spreading of the Gospel and as a result, Paul wrote many epistles of the New Testament...

    The paradox of it all. God knew that Adam and Eve would sin. Jesus being God knew that he would be crucified and betrayed the moment he was born. In other words, God wanted Adam and Eve to sin and wanted Judas to betray his only Son. Mankind condemned Judas for being a traitor. We will all be judged in the same way we judge others.

    Judas was the only member of the tribe of Judah ("Jew")amongst the apostles. The rest, including Jesus, were Benjamites. The weaknesses of Judah tend to be avarice and pride. The Benjamites the smallest tribe, lived separately, a good way from Jerusalem, on or near the western shores of the Sea(Lake) of Galilee.

    By fact that Judas sold Messiah for 30 pieces of silver is prerequisites for crucifixtion, salvation and eventually His resurrection. What could make difference was Judas’s attitude thereafter. Had he not hanged himself and committed suicide, Judah would witness what he had longed after, the saviour.
    Isn’t this similar circumstances as what his ancestor, Judah - Son of Jacob, has been through? Selling his younger brother as a slave out of jealousy? Yet as he repent and Judah made significant difference towards his father and brethens lateron, including protecting Benjamin when Joseph was pretending to enslave him In Egypt. Ultimately on Jacob’s deathbed, Judah was blessed abundantly in Genesis 49:8-12.
    Praise the Lord!
