Seeing this from the inside... Seeing my home be destroyed 😭 thank you to everyone who put their life on the line to put the fires out. Everyone was so kind and communicated with me as well as they could, considering the circumstances.
Are the boots the fire fighters wear for puncture proof? With all the debris I wonder if they ever step on nails/ screws etc with no worry of getting hurt
im not an expert or anything. I dont know about a hand signal or whatever but i do know firefighters use 3 long blasts of the truck horn as a universal "get the f**k out". as well as radio coms.
That's correct, they are the 1st alarm RIT, but get put to work depending on the incident. This one went to 2nd alarm, so an additional RIT was there too

@ Appriciate the insight. Thanks!
Any plausible ideas as to the initial cause? At one point I had thought electrical due to the smoke pouring out around that light switch.
I believe they said electrical in one of the other involved units
Does Harrisburg run 30 minute or 45 minute SCBA bottles? We're current upgrading and I'm just curious.

It sounds like the fire broke through the roof after the ladder was placed
Is there a Universal hand signal or arm signal that means "evacuate"?

Who’s that guy at 10:00 and on sitting on the edge of the roof that forgot his helmet, gloves and pack at home ?
He had those things with him, just not on at that point. You can see after some of us switched roofs that he has his helmet and gloves back on
