No deductions for the poor body shape on both vaults, that should’ve been a 9.9 and a 9.6 start value JUST IN THE EF.... in the AA that was the same vault performed twice, So that would be a 9.9 and an 8.9 start value
Her bars were atrocious, she was only a two event Gymnast, beam and floor... She has no claim to the all-around title and she was stripped of it which was the best thing to happen because that was khorkina’s and The Aussies screwed up royally with the whole vault debacle
@@2010hotmale2010 her bars were not atrocious by any means, yes they weren't her best, but they were good enough, just like is the case for Simone (or Nastia with vault). Khorkina was also robbed, but Andreea won AA fair and square. The drug she tested positive for is not even a performance enhancing one, she took an over the counter cold medicine.

It’s on her coaches for giving it to her, but she should not have the medal- any athlete who tests positive gets the same consequences, no exceptions. Nope, not with a positive drug test. Rules are rules, like them or not. Exceptions exist for no one- in any sport. It was known for years that it wasn’t legal.
@@alazjaw.8968 I will repeat to you what the WORLD ANTI DOPING AGENCY stated- it was a BANNED SUBSTANCE. I’m not sure what part of that you fail to grasp, but you need to read the rules on doping to gain clarity. It doesn’t matter who prescribed it- and it was given by a TEAM doctor, not an Olympic supplied one- if the substance found in an athlete’s system is on the banned list, the medal is stripped- period. No sport ANYWHERE makes exceptions for that policy. The doctor who gave her the medicine is certainly to blame for the positive result, but the consequence is without argument- loss of a medal. If anyone is going to start the argument that she was a child without knowledge of what was done, then my rebuttal is that gymnasts should be 18- legal adults- before being allowed to compete in a world or Olympic competition in order for them to have say in their treatment and care. All athletes should be knowledgeable about what is and isn’t acceptable, so that this type of situation can be avoided.
