Hi Joel, totally agree with you that the powder coated brackets look smart against the new paint. Adding the big parts always looks like major progress but for every big part there's about 20 smaller parts and that's when progress will seem slow. I imagine you're a lot further on, in real time, than your video suggests and really looking forward to the outcome. Have a great weekend, Phil...
Hi Evan, thanks for your message and for following the 911 build. It’s been very busy lately so not been able to progress much. I had promised myself to get it done by this summer. But that’s not going to happen. The car ‚comes off the road‘ at the end of October anyway so it will be next year now. But it will happen. Thanks and speak soon, Joël
Interesting to see the routing of that power cable! I have a voltage drop somewhere when the engine is warm, and was speculating it might be this cable. It's not the Y cable on top of the engine, need to diagnose some more. I hope it is not this one that needs replacing because it looks tricky to do without removing the engine...
Hi Andy. Check the ground connections first. And then the power cable junction box just behind the bell housing. Mine was caked in green corrosion as the connections are brass. I cleaned it all up and packed it with grease. Very satisfying indeed.
