      Just saw the Apprentice eh? Yeah he captured his mannerisms really well. Except he does the chicken neck movement a little too pronounced. Cohn does it but it's more subtle.
      I can definitely see how Trump molded himself after him. After seeing the movie and then watching this I'm like "It's true! This is where Trump got his personality! Holy crap!"

      Its not a conspiracy. Nowhere is the AIDS rate higher then in Africa still to this day. That is a fact. In Africans dont really like the use of condom. The red cross and other organizations handed them out freely in the past to curb the spread but they all ended up in the bin. AIDS is also to be found in MUCH BIGGER NUMBERS amongst the Rainbow and PRIDE tribes aka gays who casual have sex with strangers when out cruising in public toilets . Sure you get AIDS amongst hetrosexuals too but the fact remains that having sex with random strangers , often several per week may come with a price.

      I am still astonished that when aids broke out in the mid eighties and decimated the rainbow members , that it did not spell the PR death nail for them. Instead, Elizabeth Taylor , Liza Minell (later on Lady Di) and other celebs got together , after Rock Hudson was struck down with Aids , looking a shadow of his former self and gaunt like a skeleton . Now , had it not been for a STAR struck down as Rock Hudson was, who knows what would have happened , regarding 'public opinions' on the issue . Who would have thought that the rainbow warriors would be allowed same sex marriage in church .

      You can see where Trumpism itself wasn't even started by Trump or even Cohn himself. Fascism was called Hitlerism in a lot of places, Cohn had fascist tendencies. Cohn laid the foundations for a 21st century American form of fascism. Then Donald Trump built the house of Trumpism (with shoddy mob materials and illegal immigrant workers and on top of sand) on the foundation Cohn laid.
      Nothing Trump says or does quite makes sense until you research Roy Cohn and his decade long mentorship of Trump.
      Twilight zone thought experiment: what would Donald Trump have ended up like if his brother didn't die of alcoholism and if he didn't ever meet Roy Cohn. (I think his brothers death and all the Cohn propaganda corrupted him in a major way, and vastly multiplied his worst character traits and tendencies).
      Maybe he'd actually have become a successful billionaire and a philanthropist and family man.

      Lol Cohn was a Democrat and a Jew and a gay who vociferously defended and supported the Republican party who are strongly against Democrats, and a lot of whom are anti semitic and homophobic.
      Roy Cohn was a living breathing paradox. Possibly the biggest hypocrite to ever have disgraced the earth.
      On a side note - I think Ol' Roy's uncanny ability to launder money and dodge taxes had not a little to do with his associations with high ranking NYC mafia members (most notably Carmine Galante and Fat Tony Salerno. I'm pretty sure he also had an association with the Gambino family Don either Carlo, Big Paul or John Gotti. Plus there were innumerable lower ranking mafia guys Cohn associated with and defended.
      Hell, there's a character in the Sopranos who plays the Soprano family attorney throughout the series, and his character was modeled after Roy Cohn and John Gotti attorney Bruce Cutler.

    I wasn't aware Peter Frazier was an actual person. In the movie 'Citizen Cohn' they portrayed them as a live in couple and going everywhere together. I thought Roy Cohn was very closeted so I assumed that was made up for the movie.

    • @Irene-yc8oq
      @Irene-yc8oq 5 років тому +4

      Dee- Ann nah Cohn actually lived in a “neon closet” and he basically flaunted his sexuality in front of his conservative friends. It just wasn’t discussed. One thing about Cohn’s love life Citizen Cohn didn’t get right was he actually wasn’t the monogamous type and had a bunch of boyfriends, though Peter Fraser is one of the more serious ones.

    I mean obviously it was going to come out that he had AIDS after he died so what a strange show of psychology that he would never admit that or even to being gay even while traveling around with a young man partner. Is that pride or just denial or maybe all the above.

  • @Irene-yc8oq
    @Irene-yc8oq 6 років тому +11

    It’s just unfair that hypocrites keep condemning him for not admitting he had aids, it was a very private health issue and he had the right to keep it to himself. The public shouldn’t have had felt so entitled to know everything about a man’s private life

    • @lumitrac

      lumitrac nope. Liberace also lied about not having aids, so did many other celebrities stricken with aids. Would you call them habitual liars? They just didn’t want the stigma, and ultimately it should be their choice to keep the health status private.
