That guy is way too good looking to play Trump, but I’m going to see the film. Mostly just to support a movie that triggers Trump in such a delightful way. 😂
I watched the film in the theatre on Tuesday and it was an eye opener. I was not aware of the impact of Roy Cohn's influence on Trump until I saw the film.
You do realize that it is based on somebody's interpretation of a history. It was written by somebody with an agenda. Try watching how Rogan interview him tonight. See how the two match up. Do your research. Properly. Don't just watch a fictional film and head to the voting booth. Do your work. Like an adult.
I think you will find it interesting to see his horrendous behavior again but worse than what you have seen before. Court cases gave us the script so 😮enjoy cringey 😬
I donated to the kickstarter to get it into theaters and went to see it on opening night a couple weeks ago! Fantastic film! Well done to all the actors and production staff that stuck their necks out for this project
Excellent interview & great questions. What erudite interesting men Strong & Stan are - which makes their performances in the film all the more exceptional & riveting. Anyone who has seen or read about Roy Cohen's origins/career & Trump's life story understands how determined both these men were for total advancement - at any & all costs & utilising any & all nefarious methods. The fact the US & indeed the world has had to reap the ugly results of Cohen's tutelage of Trump is something I think Cohen would be exceptionally proud of..while we the public suffer from it.
I think that Sebastian should host SNL and play the ghost of 1980s Trump to warn JAJ's present Trump. Even mentioning Phil Hartman's Trump impression in his monologue would be touching including mentioning his mural was made before the election and claim that seeing Phil as Trump helped him out.
They can bring back the land shark character and it can knock on Trump's door, but instead of eating Trump, it electrocutes him and then the shark takes off the costume and it's Candice Bergen and they all yell, 'Live, from New York.....' and ti's a full circle moment.
@@vajrayoga I live in North Carolina. The area I live in is very red, went to see it the other day and it’s already been pulled and replaced with a documentary about him called “The man you don’t know.” It’s all about how supposedly wonderful Trump is and man of faith, blah, blah, blah. Apparently Trump got his way yet again and is making sure the movie is removed, at least in some areas.
I don’t need to see the film when I’ve watched his despotic behavior since the 70’s everything he does is for one thing and one thing only his own ego, and his pocketbook.
Trump wishes he had Sebastian Stan’s hairline and good looks. When I heard Trump denounce this film I went and saw immediately to support the box office. There really wasn’t anything new that I learned about Roy Cohen or trump. I had to support this film though.
I’m excited to see this film, my hatred for Trump is so huge these days. I believe the film is essential. Any kind of exposure of this man is welcomed. I’m fascinated , great interview.
I'm taking a big group of adult students to see the Apprentice tomorrow night. More's the pity that we can't vote in your election as the actions of the Americans affect the whole planet- for good or bad. Kamala is the future. Trump is the past.
I watched it in New York and it added something special to my viewing pleasure. But it didn’t cover enough brutality trump has covered for years. It was a wonderful performance 🎭 thanks to great actors. The reality of trump’s performance today is beyond words. What’s worse is why it continues.
I haven't seen the film (yet), but based on this interview it's the embodiment of the saying "hurt people hurt people" (first hurt is an adjective and second hurt is a verb). So it won't ever matter how powerful he gets, his guiding principle will be to hurt people - or in this case all of America - to make everyone feel as badly as he does. Given enough time and power, everything will turn to ashes around him. *** p.s. to those mentioning Ivana's burial site. The fact that the golf club is a "cemetery" with a population of 1, it's exempt from government seizure if Trump's assets get seized. Can you imagine the ice water running through the veins of a family that uses their mother's corpse to protect a piece of property? 🥶
thing is, Sebastian Stan doesn't have the putrid, rancid look that trump has and which he seems to have been born with. However, maybe the film is easier to take in if you don't have the feeling of getting besmirched with something oozing and rotting as you watch
Great movie. Some disturbing scenes, but then the story the movie tells is quite disturbing in itself. Both guys in main roles are excellent - they do not play Roy Cohn or Trump as caricatures (which would have been real easy - especially for Sebastin Stan), but as real people. Also 70s & 80s New York really comes alive in the movie.
His supporters bother me more than he does. He would be the crazy man ranting on a street corner that people walk by and ignore if his supporters didn’t validate his awful behavior.
Why do actors often align themselves with the political messages of their characters and strive to embody those roles in their personal lives? Is this driven by personal beliefs, industry pressures, financial motivations, or perhaps even ego? After all, fame can be quite compelling, and they may relish the spotlight as they seek to make the most of their moment in the sun. But why do we care about their opinions on these matters? If they are professionals in their craft, their views on social or political issues should be irrelevant to their roles, as their expertise lies in performance, not in the complexities of these subjects. ($$$$$)
To be an GOOD actor/poet/lyricist/novelist/writer etc. it's essential to have empathy. I you can't see yourself in another persons shoes, you'll never be able to understand their point of view. This is the reason most artists lean to the left politically. The conservative viewpoint is me, me, me. Leftists care about others. You know, like Jesus said! (and I'm an atheist).
He was triggered because the film portrayed his life incorrectly. According to him it misrepresents his deceased ex wife. He’s allowed to have an opinion.
That's the ex wife that he buried in a crappy bit of his golf course. Give us a break. It's always about hom and always only about him. He is pissed because it shows him being taught how to be a full time grifter at a time when he was just nothing really. Just as he is mad at Thr Apprentice because they have confirmed what anyone eith a braincell knows. He was cast to play a role.

Wholeheartedly agree. Cohn would absolutely love this insanity. He thrived in abject depravity.
