I was married to a man who had this on 60% of his body. I remember as young newly weds he got naked for the first time crying he said "It's not contagious" poor guy. I hugged him to me and said I didn't care, I loved him and just to love me. I didn't care and I loved him very much....he managed to get his condition cleared up but it wrecked his self esteem. Sweet David Lewis...I know you were in pain buddy, stressed out. I miss you too.
BITTE Leute da drausen versteht WAS da mit unseren Körpern-und Häuten passiert.....Es is ohne jeden Zweifel die Strahlenkrankheit und das Google mich immer deaktiviert is wohl der Beweis für diesen Zustand
I am a 61-year-old woman who started getting psoriasis at the age of seven. I have been depressed all my life and I am on antidepressants. I also have psoriatic arthritis now, and went to see a rheumatologist who changed my life. I no longer have breakouts I have more confidence and I am so much happier. My doctor prescribed Taltz injections once a month and I have to say I am feeling 100% better. I went to Stanford university three times stayed for two weeks the first time 10 days the second time and just an office visit the third time while I was in high school they use tar baths and ultraviolet lights which helped immensely also. Taltz not only cleared my psoriasis which I had from head to toe but also has helped with my psoriatic arthritis❤ bless this man and Dr. I Emma too!
I understand psoriasis, my Grandfather had 2nd worse case in North America. As a child I saw my Grandfther in pain, sometimes cry with pain and embarrassment. To see a proud man like this it broke my heart. He had the scales from top of head to bottom of feet. It cracked, bled, itchy. He would have Teresa tar baths, went to hospital to be burned, he loved to fish and the water at the two room cottage. He would always be covered up, yet some sun helps. I was the only Grandchild he felt comfortable in front of and I would clean the bathroom for him. He was a smoker and quit, stress and sugar made it worse. Everywhere he went the path of white scales followed. I felt bad for him, hating to see him suffer as he was my fishing buddy and best friend. Back then you did not have these options. So happy for this man, wish you all the best
Ohhhhh this is SUCH a wonderful outcome! I’m really proud of you for cutting back/out the cigarettes in your life and the rewards are written all over you! May you continue to have this new joy from your healing body!!
My husband suffered from this for 45 years, he finally saw a dermatologist, he had to stand in a sun cabinet, for 3 days a week for 6 weeks, gradually building up time , then he was put on an injection, self medicated, for 10 years , you would never know he had psoriasis, miracle injection called TALZ ,; Now he injects once monthly , amazing his life has changed, no more stupid creams , they don’t work
through sickness and health, richer or poorer...this couple amazing...wishing them the very best....I love my husband so much, I would never abandon him...23 yrs together...I am now his caregiver...0ver 20 yrs. between us...Happy for this wonderful man...congrats on puppy...be blessed with your family...Doc...you saved this man!!!
God bless him!!! Thank you, Dr. Emma, for helping this man feel normal again!!! I’m so happy for him and the fact that he can enjoy his life with his wife! And they got a puppy! 🥰🥰🥰🎉🎉
I am a sufferer from severe psoriasis myself. I can relate to the initial video. I could say so much on the subject, I really could. Once people know I have psoriasis they also tell me they know of someone with psoriasis. I am starting to believe so many people nowadays have it. I am waiting patiently for a cure as it has completely altered my life and lifestyle. However, I noticed a massive change in it when I went off sugarine and now I have got use to natural honey in my coffee. Sugar is the worst for it and so is alcohol, especially beer. Honestly I can write a list what not to consume and do.
These clips are very uplifting. Dr. Emma is a gentle soul and a truly gifted practitioner. I've had my share of skin issues, so I have some idea of what this man has experienced with psoriasis and how depressing it can be. I'm so glad he's better.
I was blessed to get a new Dermatologist , who put me on cosentyx injections and changed my life. I still have some side effects from psoriatic arthritis but I’m doing better.
My dermatologist put me on Skyrizi and everything finally disappeared. Nothing had worked until I got on biologics. What a game changer. Sadly still dealing with the arthritis as well.
I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Im also in advanced heart failure which means, other than steroid creams, my condition cant be treated. Im always delighted when I see someone getting relief from this horrible disease which is, absolutely, a whole body disease capable of doing terrible things. After 20+ years of symptoms my hands are twisted as are my feet.
Love Dr Emma. You are just amazing how you this lovely man with his psoriasis. I also suffer psoriasis and was lucky to have a wonderful dermatologist, who then referred me to a wonderful Rhumatologist as I have psoriatic arthritis now.
My god this looks so painfull. People don't realize what it does to you mental health. Depression and anxiety. You can't blame anyone with this condition being sad or anxious. I hope she can help him.
This video upsets me because I see that we have the technologies to help with it a lot, but so many people still suffer. Either because they live in a country where they practically have no access to this, or because they don't have NHS which would cover it, or for any other of the ridiculous reasons we live with.
Very uplifting video. A really nice chap whose gratitude towards Dr Emma was so heartfelt. As for Dr Emma, a diamond of a lady , fantastic at her job with a manner to match..
Taltz cleared up my psoriasis, but without insurance it would be a deal breaker in costs in the USA. I had the nail symptoms and worsening psorius for years. Within 6 weeks of initial treatment everything was cleared up.
I got put on Skyrizi, a biologic as well, and I've gotten it 100% free from Abbvie Assist program because of either no insurance or lack of insurance coverage. The Abbie Assist program has been a life saver for me. Skyrizi completely cleared me of my psoriasis. There are options to get biologics at no cost, just takes a good doctor and an application.
I remember when I was diagnosed as a child with Plaque Psoriasis, it was a blessing to know and get treated, but also I was made fun of forever. Now in my 40s I was diagnosed Psoriatic Arthritis. I don’t have huge plaques anymore, but my feet crack so bad that I can’t walk and I have no toe nails and at this age, people will make fun and talk about my feet. It’s so hard, painful, and embarrassing.
I've been battling PTSD and all the "fun" that comes with it for over a decade now ever since my parents died. It has taken the joy out of much of my life. No matter what the cause, depression is a vile, destructive condition that creates a sense of loneliness and self-loathing that is hard to put into words.
I love DR Emma. I do have a problem when it comes to doctors who just say quit smoking and they don't offer any kind of a help to do so I haven't had a cigarette in about 13 or 14 years and I can tell you that quitting smoking with more difficult for me than giving up heroin and alcohol put together I think people need to understand that smoking cigarettes can be more addictive than cocaine and does a lot more damage
My mom had psoriasis just about all over her body, but she was told to by a tanning bed and with that and meds her psoriasis went from 85% of her body down to 15% of her body.
I'm so thankful my psoriasis is contained to my scalp and I've found medication that works for me. It feels like a hot iron is being held to your skin on top of the cracking and itching... I can't imagine living with it all over my body, unmedicated.
Is not Psoriasis a gut problem? I just started getting it at 45, and doing research, I hope this video help me. My mother had it all over most of her life, some doctor give her a shot of something at the age of 65, she was clear for 10 years.
Psorisis would friggin suck 🥺 this poor guy, in total misery 🥺 and even his wife, just missing what they had before it effected their life. But i hope in due time their love can gain the strength it had & they can bond and have a special relationship. Its great to see the difference already but may it get even bettter!
I have so much sympathy for this man. This a terrible condition but I was horrified to see him deliberately scratching his sin off his legs onto the chair he was sitting on. His poor wife. Surely he could have put a towel down first.
Happy to see Dr Emma mention giving up smoking - deadly drug in the universe. I have excema and scalp dermatitis and for flareups for the excema I'm prescribed Triamcinolone Cream with excellent results. For the dermatitis I use 3 different Head and Shoulders products and I no longer use body soap but now use Avenno body wash and within 3 minutes of showering I use Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. I also no longer have ugly heels. Thanks for the always excellent videos.
This is an indication of the power of nicotine addiction. Any sane person with a chronic condition such as this would be grasping at the slightest hint of removing contributing factors. You will see a similar situation in the Asian acne treatment videos of severe affliction. Yet smoking, especially by males, in that population is at extremely high levels, despite all the medical opinion that it makes acne far worse. I had an aunt who would not even quit smoking after lung cancer caused a lung to be removed. Sadly, even 6 months later he confesses to still be at it. Like most smokers, if they confess to "I'm down to 3 or 4 a day" they likely are reporting their best days, not average. The medication has made the biggest change, but if his condition did not convince him to quit... Nothing will.
YET AGAIN, useless G.P's letting a poor patient suffer when there was CLEARLY help available for him. This country disgusts me. Well done once again Dr Emma - a little angel💖x
I don’t smoke, and yet I can’t get rid of my psoriasis. I started a new very very expensive drug 3 months ago: Siliq, but it doesn’t seem to be working yet.
His skin condition is awful. However, why does his wife clean up after him when he scratches huge flakes off? He looks well enough to use a whisk broom and dustpan! Come to think of it, he could apply his own skin cream, his wife could just help with his back. Why does this man put a burden on his wife for things he can do himself? Dr. Emma is my all-time favorite doctor on the internet. She is so skilled and her bedside manner is next to none. So happy for this man.
I agree!
She works in a NHS hospital too & has private clinics too
and Dr Lee as well
I wish she was in the states. Most doctors here are worthless if you have something that’s not textbook in its presentation.

I'm sorry that your grandfather suffered so much. 😢
Thank you for sharing your grandpa’s story. I’m so sorry he suffered so much. He definitely didn’t deserve it-he’s at peace now though. ❤
I have tears. Never have I seen something like this. I have psoriasis and I have never ever seen someone like this! My heart aches for him
Wow. What a difference at the end, what a life saver. It's so sad to see people suffer and wait to get help or a 2nd opinion.
For those of us with chronic illness… It can take 6 to 7 years for us to get a correct diagnosis.

The man is purple on his legs and his wife said, “a bit red, but not too bad though…” can’t begin to imagine his bad days. So glad he found help!
I never think "Eew" at psoriasis. I do think "Oww" though. I know firsthand how painful skin conditions can be. (I have HS)
Ouch, have you tried the treatments dr emma has given her patients?
I’m so happy Dr. Emma could help this man and bring back the spark in his life so he can experience joy again.
Dr Emma, should be given an award for her amazing and wonderful bedside manner. Such empathy and compassion that she shows her patients
