Awaited 2nd brand new music video, “Maximum the Hormone II -Let’s Talk about Menkata Cottelee-” was released on MTH official UA-cam channel.
Maximum the Ryokun was diagnosed as complication of lifestyle-related diseases and warned that he was going to die if he wouldn’t change his lifestyle by a medical doctor. So Maximum the Ryokun started diet and exercise, lost weight and got well.
Fans were totally shocked by his lean body and have been complaining “We liked him FAAAAAT!!” Yes, this is the answer song to such fans.
What does the subtitle which is the same as the title of the next release item mean?
This song was composed as “Part II” of the song, “Maximum the Hormone” released 7 and a half years ago. How will the next stage of MTH who have had the belief of “Menkata Cottelee” be?!

Please keep reacting to this band. They are my favorite band ever!!!! You two were a great reaction to watch. The song was ironically about the guitarist losing weight which the fans hated and kept discriminating him against. So they made the song about over eating and being healthy but ironically pig out at the end with ramen like no tomorrow.
I love MTH, a beautiful crazy band 😍! One of their song is unique and very FUN!

@@philipebbrell2793that must have been amazing, we were on the level by the speakers by stage left, you guys on the floor were incredible, best crowd I've ever been in and watching the floor from above, you guys didn't stop from start to finish
So Ryo (lead guitar), used to be overweight and it was starting to cause serious health problems. Took some time off and got fit. Lots of fans complained that they like him better fat and wanted him to revert back. This song is his response, saying that they want him fat for selfish reasons.
Great reaction Jon and Dolly, you two are a lot of fun to watch. Especially with bands like MTH. All their stuff is fantastic, can't wait to see more. Only caveat if you do more, their label tends to block. As a side note, Nemophila has a couple covers of MTH songs, well worth checking out, some of their best. Subbed for more!

Specifically, Maximum the Ryo, their lead guitarist and clean vocalist, he was much bigger before, but due to a health crisis lost a ton of weight, in response some fans would leave comments like “he looked better big” or similar such stuff, this song was basically a middle finger to those fans.

Fun fact: the dreads guy on guitar lost a TON of weight and a lot of japanese people got mad because they liked him fat, but i think peopls should be happy for him.

However I suggest being very careful reacting to their newer stuff, copyright is a b*tch.
So, Fun Fact: This song is about the fans of the band reacting negatively to the guitarist Ryo losing weight, he was pretty fat back then and had gout, so he had to lose weight or he would die, obviously as shown in the video, he was successful, which is good for him, but the fans wanted fat Ryo back, thus this song was born.
Fun Fact 2: If you've ever watched Death Note, these were the guys that played the Opening Song and Ending Song on Season 2

I think MYH is more creative than SOAD, the way they mix genres that are completely different from each other and make them fit with that perfection and those transitions is the purest form of creativity and talent
