This band, probably, never, gonna get the credit they deserves. Akane from Band Maid actually Is a drummer because of them. Hanabie started as a Maximum The Hormone covers band and The listo goes on. Thank you for giving them a Lil bit of love. Kanpai 🍻
Maximum the Hormone are one of the favorite bands of other Japanese musicians, including the girls from Band-Maid. Thanks for giving them a look. No two songs are alike, so give them another try sometime!
Maximum the Hormone is so chaotic but also soo much fun! You never know what come up next xD And yes, they are singing about what you are thinking of 🤣🤣 They love to jump between styles, and love to troll fans. They are usually more heavy and less poppy, but you can never know! This is not one of their most famous songs, but still funny xD For a first listen I would usually recommend "Yoshu Fukushu"; it's about the guitarist being bullied while he was in school. The guitarist's name is Ryo, from what I understand he is the one who mostly writes the songs, in a kind of way that sometimes it's difficult even for Japanese people to understand it! The Drummer NAO is Ryo's older sister, and now is 45 with 2 children. She's been the ispiration for most of japanese female metal drummers, because she also demonstrated that you can still continue to be a successfull drummer without having to renounce of being a mother!! A quanto ho capito non ti piace molto il chaos, quindi non so se ti piaceranno loro :D Però sicuramente hanno talento e fantasia! Molti li chiamano i System of a Down Giapponesi. Ah, e Nemophila ha fatto la cover di 2 loro canzoni ;)
I saw them live in London last year. The crowd went wild when they play this. We bopped along doing the actions. Most intense gig I have been to, I thought Babymetal was intense. MTH took it up several levels.
WOW!!! That was incredible. I absolutely loved it. I need to hear more from this band. just.... wow. The Guitar player's voice sounds a lot like the vocals from Reel Big Fish. How Nostalgic.
MTH is all over the map. One of the most influential and popular bands in Japan, they have inspired many Japanese rock groups. Hanabie started as a Maximum the Hormone cover band. Nao, their drummer, was Band-Maid's Akane Hirose's inspiration to become a rock drummer.
Akane Hirose, the drummer for Band Maid, did not know girls could be drummers when she was growing up until she saw Nao from Maximum The Hormone. If you really want your mind blown have a look at A.L.I.E.N. from Maximum The Hormone.
👍👍👍🔥. Thanks for this. MTH will grow on you for sure.Took me a little while. Please check out Nemophila version of MTH's Shimi. Mayu absolutely kills it! .She's Out of control
MTH is all over the place. They have two songs that were OST for Death Note, Whats Up People and Zetsubou Billy, both are very heavy. Yoshu Fukushu and ALIEN are both tracks that go hard and finish...oddly.
I guess this one of the warming up sessions for musical mock battle between metal guitar goddess (SAKI) with drums goddess (Tamu) and their undisputed generals of musicians (Hazuki, Haraguchi-san and mayu) covering Shimi and Zetsubo Billy.🤘🏻
Japanese crowds/fans are just like Japanese artists, on a higher level. Here we have thousands of people all doing the same random choreo MTH came up with for a video! 😄💪🏻🤘🏻
Nao the drummer has i spired lot of Japanese female artist in that she got a kid and still beeing an artist. That is not common in Japan. Traditionelly when a woman has a baby she goes to be a house woman. Nao is one frontfigure to still be an artist after childbirth in Japan.
Ayo, idk why they made you react to this song specifically but try other songs, you'll fall in love with them! Please give this band another couple of tries! Try "Yoshu Fukushu" , "Hungry Pride" and "ALIEN" !
i believe this also will grow on you (no pun intended, neh :D ) as it did on me. (it's not their heavier nor fastest one btw). err... surely for an italian the chorus is a bit 'peculiar' but what can you do?
I believe she needs to now at list 1 thing before reacting to "Alien": towards the end they talk about Winny, that was a popular download software in Japan like Napster was in the West!
Having never heard of this band, I was surprised they were playing to such a huge crowd. I wasn't really sure how to react to the band, they didn't seem to fit into a single category (although that isn't necessary). Certainly different, more (for me) towards the 'cute' side.
They are veeery famous in Japan and even outside of Japan! Reason is because they did the (2nd) opening and ending of the very popular anime Death Note, and recently the less acclaimed anime "Record of Ragnarok" which ended in kind of being a disaster but that's for another discussion. But yeah, they don't have a single genre. They mix a LOT of stuff together. From pop to deathcore. That's what makes it my favorite band :D P.S. Don't worry, they're not cute.. like..at all x) This was one of the least heavy songs ever x')
@@katarinanokami2718 Thanks! I don't follow anime so probably one reason I have not heard of them. Certainly the talent was there. A lot of Japanese music is far different than mainstream US, and for some reason Japan companies do not seem in any rush to release albums in the US, so often these bands are completely overlooked and unknown in the US except to those that experience them through a different venue, such as you said, playing for anime.
@@guygourley2411 yeah you not following anime was to be a bit expected ahah Anyway yeah they are craaazy talented. As i said to her and another one, try more songs from them! @@guygourley2411 p.s. "companies seem to not rush bands" Well.. The GazettE (one of the most popular visual kei bands in japan) could say a thing or two on that. They had 1 album per year for almost 8 years xd Edit: altho yeah, most of them don't seem to be rushed to make albums.

Amazing, thanks for sharing their content
it's the sperm song, nice!
watch the video hungry pride is totally insane hahaha and you are so beautiful
Kind of a weird song for a first MTH reaction and this one's weird by MTH standards. Great band though. Probably the best punk metal band there is.
Comunque si, la canzone ripete continuamente "sper*a" e si riferiscono proprio a quello
Please be careful with this band.... Their label don't play.... Watch out for copyright strike.

It's the same in Dutch and Indonesian, definitely something I didn't expect 🙂
Only 18 seconds of intro in a reaction video? Am I dreaming? Good job, jesus man.

Whats the name of this song? I love it.
If you haven't found the name yet it's called Koi no Sperm. Their whole catalogue is great you can't go wrong with MTH!
