Have you ever reacted to….He’s still my child, that Maggie Beth sings. He wrote it years ago and put it in his piano bench till he found someone to sing it, then heard his daughter in her room singing and thought this is the one. 😊❤
David wrote the music and Gloria Gather wrote the words. Gloria said the music reminded her of water flowing and was inspired to relate the Gospel account of the women at the well.
There are many interviews with David and whole family with Bill Gaither and David talks about his kids and they all sing… his oldest Callie is still a back up singer at his concerts! His son Grant is on “Eye to Eye”… very good more recent song. There is so much out there to discover! Thanks for reacting to David!!!! I love seeing the joy in your face everytime!
I'm so moved by this performance. First time hearing it. Feeling so blessed. I see many have suggested "He's Still My Child" written by David and I can't watch it without tears as Maggie Beth expresses what Our Blessed Mother Mary would have felt seeing her beloved Son crucified. I share it each Good Friday just to remind us all how Jesus died and his Blessed Mother's anguish. Love your channel by friend. Love from Australia
