No, most people outside the gospel community do NOT know who David is. And even within the gospel community, he is not as popular as I would think he should be.
David Phelps Holy ( sanctus) is ammmmmazing!
I told you it would blow your mind! Maggie Beth was 17 during this performance, she sang her first duet with her Dad when she was 14, "Agnus Dei". The curly haired backup singer shown in the beginning is David's other daughter Callie, his son Grant plays guitar and sings, his other son Koby does computer graphics on videos. The Mom, Lori, does not perform with them. This concert was in David's Barn, he converted his dairy barn into a concert hall, and has annual Barn Bash events, we attend the Labor Day Barn Bash every year, 2 nights of music and family reunions in that Barn, best weekend of the year. The list of songs is endless, the style of songs is endless. David is incredible!! His version of "The Star Spangled Banner" from Birmingham is AMAZING, with a twist on the second verse.

Love it! There's so many great performances by David that are gonna blow you away. I did think that with your screen background you should do Let Freedom Ring. David is with the Gaither Vocal Band in that one. It's phenomenal. Of course other greats No More Night, We Shall Behold Him, The Dream, I Have Nothing are also insanely great. Enjoy! Unfortunately, David is a very underrated singer. A lot of people have e never heard of him. Thank you for giving him some exposure. David's voice is so powerful and he sings with such conviction. Try his cover of "I Have Nothing"...you won't regret it.

Callie Phelps does not sing in For Those Tears I Died, it is another Callie, but Callie Phelps has sang back up for Dad for many years as well as Maggie Beth..no Mom Lori does not sing but she runs things behind the scenes!
Callie Phelps Desoto (David's oldest daughter) does sing For Those Tears I Died with Maggie Beth Phelps, her sister. The song was originally sung at David's concerts by his sister Sherri, who passed into heaven after a long battle with cancer. These are her two nieces who have begun to sing it together.
