Wow thank you for the wonderful kind words--I really appreciate the extra encouragement!!
Thank you for blogging about using your pasta machine to roll your oats! I was just wondering if this was possible and did a quick search to see if anyone else had. :) what a wonderful surprise that I already have a tool in my cupboard!
This is my first time of seeing this, am so loving oats the more, and the video was quite relaxing to watch.

What an interest and great idea. So much healthier and your groats last a long time. Thank you for sharing 🤩🥰🙏
This is so genius. I used your trick last week with my Kitchen Aid pasta attachment and it worked perfectly :) Thank you for the inspiration!!
You're welcome, I'm so glad it works for you!
What number did you set the roller to?
Number one thank you so much for the relaxing music with your video.
Number two Thank you so much for the very helpful video. I just realized I have a pasta roller and have had one for years I didn't realize I could use it to make rolled oats!
I came across your video by accident Thank you again so very much for this.
That is genius!!! Thanks for the idea! Definitely gonna try this out
Thank you very much, and I'm really glad to hear you'll be trying it!
These days especially food products got very expensive in my country. Oatmeals are one of these. It is very useful explaination to eat cheaper. Thank you very much!
Great tutorial! I was looking for an Oat roller machine and are too expensive, with this Method is way more economic! Thank you!
I know, I did the same thing. Good roller machines are very expensive. I tried a few ideas before I figured out this method. I'm so happy with the result!
This is brilliant!
Thank you for the demonstration.
you are very welcome, and thank you for appreciating it!
Few years ago, I have bought a Kenwood pasta attachment which I haven't used it yet. I will use it for wheat grains before milling on my small size natural granite stone by hand for weekly bread flour. I should buy the medium size stone grain mill which is for hard grains.
that's amazing. I am going to try it with Buckwheat. the video is so calming. thank you
Ingenious! Thank you!
You made my day today!
I literally watched this video like 3 times and subscribed to your channel. Very informative videos
I'm so glad you like it, thank you so much for your support.
Thank you so much for this video, I don't know why this kind of video was so darn hard to find.
Wow!!! That is so incredible! Did you come up with this yourself??
Noticeable minimalism in that photography style ;)
Very interesting method. Do you use any tool to get rid of the hulls after the flakes have dried?
Awesome! Can you tell me if this method will work with whole grains? And if I want to use other types of whole grains (wheat, barley, oat, spelt, etc) do they have different soaking times or will this method work the same for all of those?
Thank you for this video.
Can this technique be also used for making wheat flakes?
Wow.. Nice video. The music and the demo are just perfect. Can the same be used for Barley groats to make barley flakes ?
I love this. What setting are you using on the pasta maker?
Good idea pasta Roller I have one of those. Thank you for sharing the idea of a nice calming video have a good day.
Brilliant idea!!! I have the rolling machine but i never thought about the importance of sprouting the oats!!! I also have the dehydrator and can i ask you for how long you dehydrate oats? 💖 thanks a lot 💖
Thanks so much for sharing. I'm so glad
What are those things combined to make oats meal. Kindly share. Thanks
Exactly what I was looking for many thanks.
I'm so glad you found it!
This video is almost a little ASMR. quite soothing. Do make more videos like this. Nice kitchen to.
That was so cool! I'm gonna try!
I'm so glad you are going to try it!
Yay! Thank you So much for this video! I have been trying to learn how to roll my own oats for over a week! I attempted to add some to berry cobbler before seeing your video & it came out terrible -- like bird seed. 😅 My family won't eat it. The texture makes me want to gag. 😆 But my beautiful son bought be the same exact pasta maker that you have for my birthday last year & I am SOOO excited that I can use it to roll oats. Thank God! No more bird seed cake. Hehe!
Lovely informative video! Oat rolling or flaking machines are so expensive and often unavailable. I have a question, does this harm the pasta maker, and is it difficult to clean the oats from the pasta maker afterwards? Thank you!
Thank you for this amazing video. Very helpful tip.
Knowledgeable video I've ever watched👍🏻keep going
Thanks so much for this! I have chickens and they would love this! They’re picky eaters when it comes to dry grains...
I’d love to try this. Looks fun
I hope you try it!
It's very good idea and easy to make. My puzzle mind get solution. And relaxed, thanks a lot for the video
Yay!
super duper great. one question,do they HAVE to be soaked? have you tried other grains or nuts?
Thanks for sharing your experience so far.
What are those things combined to make oats meal. Kindly share. Thanks
Thank you very much,
Can I just mix this kind of rolled oat with yogurts and eat directly (like quick oat) or I must boil it?
Thank you for the video. I was thinking of making flakes from barley and wondered if I could use my pasta machine since money is tight this year and a new gadget is not in the budget.
I love you for telling this wisdom
I just like to know about the products you use, wonderful cooking
Can you share the links to purchase
I’m not sure 🤔 where I thought rolled oats came from lol ... 🤓. The rolled oat tree 🌳?? You make it look so simple ♥️
I agree it is funny to think of--so glad I could demystify and simplify it!
Hi what r grains used in this process at first plz... reply mam

So beautifully presented.. ❤️
Fabulous thank you. I needed to do something with that pasta machine.
the video editing + music + content + you = 100%
Genius! What setting on the pasta roller did you use? Can I make thick rolled oats?
Thank you, I used the smallest setting (between 8 & 9), and yes you can definitely make thicker ones too.
This is so brilliant! Please make more videos like this. Love it.
Thank you very much! and I certainly will be making more soon.

Very good method, indeed. I have a question about your jar lid (White plastic). Where did you buy it? My canning jar lids are rusting very fast. Thanks for sharing, regards from Canada.
This is amazing got to try this
I always sprout my own oat groats, then cook them and eat them whole, but sometimes I need rolled oats for recipes. This is so ingenious! Thank you so much for showing me how!
It took me a long time to figure this out. I'm very happy to be able to roll my own oats easily after soaking them. I'm so glad you found it!
@@GourmetVegetarianKitchen Is the soaking mandatory? Do non metallic rollers exist?
Where do you find groats that haven’t been stabilized?
Great video, my only question is do you think a rolling pin would work to roll em out?
Thank you very much. Very useful video.
I hoped to inquire of the brand in the Pasta Roller you have when you have a few moments? Sincerest
Thank you for your beautiful video!
Really love the video. Where can I find the music?
Is there a way to make quick oats with the rolled oats? I've been wanting to try... maybe they need to be put in the food processor for a few quick pulses?
Wow very fantastic home made rolled oats thanks for good sharing stay safe stay tuned 👍❤️
Hi very interesting, can we also make millet grain like this
Could you dehydrate the oats and then pulse them in the food processor to make steel cut oats?
Nice work! Thank you. Are ready-made oatmeals that we buy from the market harmful?
Thank you so much ..i was searching for this video.
Tyvk 4 this awesome video!
Why dehydrate them? Do they not last long fresh in a sealed container? And how long/what temperature to dehydrate on? Thanks!
Thank you! That is so cool.
Glad you like it!
Wonder if you could wait a bit til they sprout to mash them, then dry them in a low oven.
just one word for the video .... EXCELLENT ! :)
Wow! The cinematography was amazing. Felt like i was watching a movie.
Thank you so much for your compliment. I'm so glad you enjoy it!
This is so cool!
what about steaming them then drying to reduce cooking times, with your method i estimate cooking time is like 15-20 minutes right?
I am assuming we can do this for any grains including brown rice.
whare do you cet that screen you put inside the lid ring?
In addition to what to specifically look for; although I think I can determine, I just want to make certain.
I did not know it is so simple , thank's 🙏👍👍🇺🇸
👍👍Thanks for this idea
Amazing
Most welcome!
Nice work! Subbed! How do you separate the oat grain from the husk? Thanks:)
Thank you for your support. I don't know any easy ways to remove the husks, so I buy whole oat groats instead.
Thanks very much!
Thanks for that
If I freeze dry them, how long do they last? Should I keep them in the freezer?
I wanted to use these oats for energy balls. In the recipe you don't need to bake them. Do I just use these rolled oats raw or would I have to bake them separately and then use it in the recipe
Thank you very much!!
Is this roller primarily for pasta and you are using it to roll oat groats or is it a specific attachment to roll oats.
Thanks and lovely video
You are very welcome, and thank you for the kind words. This pasta roller I used is very basic, and I did not do anything to adapt it for this except set it on the narrowest setting. The one I used is here with more information about what else it can do, but I have not experimented with it much yet: www.amazon.com/shop/gourmetvegetariankitchen?listId=340U5ZGEWME0P
Where did u buy the raw oats
How long will the dried store for safely?
Wow,very nice, How do I get a pasta making machine
What thickness did you adjust the Pasta roller to?
Amazing
Very good video, thank you so much. I followed your instruction and rolled the oats. But after i rolled them they stick to each other and I couldn't separate them and dry them like you did. Did I miss something?
did you let them dry a while?
Can distilled water be used for soaking it?
fabulous
Great idea! New sub love your channel!
Thank you very much for joining, and for the kind words!
Thank you

Wonderful video. I don’t have a pasta roller. Can please you tell me the name and brand of the one in the video and a link to buy? If you have it. Thank you in advance. :-)
