If you are interested in writing songs, but you don't play drums or keyboards well, then this tutorial might be of help. Great results without having to spend days trying to make the playing sound authentic!
The thing is, both EZdrummer and EZkeys are fantastic tools for songwriters and of course for teachers like myself.
I can easily and quickly compose a great sounding track with these tools. Now, will you find a great playing style and groove for every song you can imagine? Of course not. However, you can modify grooves and play styles to better fit your needs. You can tweak any drum style, and you can easily change the chords in EZkeys.
Toontrack also keep putting new midi style for both these tools on a regular basis. I love both of these tools, and they've helped me with my composing needs for many years now.
Take a look at their products if you are interested in what you see here.

Very helpful. Unlike other videos, your EZ menus zoom-in allowed me to see what was going on.
    Nice horn parts!

Thanks for this video. I just got EZ Keys and have been a little put off by it, but with this I can see the best way for me to use it, as well as realizing that the BIG BAND midi library is actually one that I need.

Totally excellent video, Robert. You've really educated me on the possibilities with EX Drummer and EZ Keys--- the only limitations are the musical talents and knowledge of the person using the software. Your track sounds great but there's one thing missing----- it would really sound great on top of the backing track- to have a really cool guitar solo!! Like George Benson etc.

As for me, I keep it simple, just EZ Drummer and the Latin Percussion add-in pack. Trying to do keyboards with a mouse, etc, looks just too tedious to me plus you can't resize the Application Screen either. A point of great frustration for those of us that have large displays. But this example was very good. Thanks for posting~!

This is really great Robert. Thanks! I can see you have a lot of add-on packs and libraries. Can you recommend some of these? I learned a lot from your video.

@@Dolphinstreets great stuff indeed. Did you ever use the virtual drummer in Garageband (or Logic)? Or maybe both (EZ Drummer and Garageband drummer) in a project together?

    EZkeys + Ezdrummer vs BIAB?
Which do you prefer and why? Thx 😊

    • @Dolphinstreets
      @Dolphinstreets  4 роки тому

BIAB is great for creating chord progressions quickly. Excellent for practice and song ideas. The Toontrack tools I use for more "hand-crafted" songwriting. Both are great tools! Sometimes, I combine them. I might use just one instrument from BIAB, which I then import into Logic and finish the song there.

Did you import the EZ Keys into Logic?

It’s fake. It doesn’t matter how good it sounds.
Sooner than later people are going to start getting awards for using this, just like kids get trophies just for showing up

Your ignorance is showing... sort of like a leftist.
Your type would have been upset that musical instruments were created at all... thinking that all sounds made must be vocals.
Or all guitars must be acoustic.
Music is not only your skill in playing an instrument. These tools allow one to express their creativity and create things that bring enjoyment to others (well... not to NPC such as yourself) and I'm all for that.
      Now, off with you.
