I hate when some people say that they like "seasons". But when it gets really cold, snowy, icy or when tornado season is happening, they are the first to complain about the weather where they live. You do realize those things are a part of living in a seasonal climate. Also, if you have been in Houston for eight years, how do you not know the goings on around town? Houston has museums, great shopping, NASA, it isn't too far from the gulf if you like going to the water and there are various nightclubs. I know Houston doesn't have the glitz and glamour of New York City or Los Angeles, but not everyone is looking for that. Especially with the hefty price tag of those cities. I have spent time in Houston and yes, the traffic is a beast, but you learn to get used to it. If Houston is such a bad place, then why are all these people moving there?
Thanks for watching and for providing some insight! Houston definitely has its own unique charm. These reasons are major for some and minor for others, but we’re all here to share our experiences 🤜 🤛
Some of the best museums in the US are in Houston, you have NASA!, Galveston a few minutes away, there is MASSIVE FOREST around the city, Memorial Park has some nature you will not find anywhere else in the world (primitive forest), most major concerts happen in Houston. Art, culture, food, multiculturalism,…my man, you should go out more.
I don’t disagree! There’s still plenty to do in Houston. But for me, the museums and Galveston get old fast and not to mention they can be a long drive. I’m glad you found activities to do though! What’re some of your favorites?
Well, aside of museums (which I don’t think you can get bored of…There’s an infinite amount of cultural activities posted weekly, all the music around the city (most of it for free and in really cool areas like the heights), now all the Christmas activities (impossible to go to all of them with my kid), running/biking in memorial, medical, the heights, all the bike paths and bayous, the woodlands…, sports you can practice outside thanks to the warm weather (rugby, football, soccer baseball, volleyball, dodgeball (even in bouncy trampolines), tennis, golf, the Texas Rock Gym (we love it), Kemah boardwalk, beer festivals, the Rodeo!, …man, for real, I could keep going for another 2000 lines.
I cannot hide I love this place, and of course I also recognize it can be messy on the roads, too hot (I cried when I first landed here and I crossed the plane’s doors, but you get used to it in some time), even dangerous if you don’t know the area you are in. But my friend, it is also one of the most multicultural, fun, affordable, welcoming, active, charming cities I’ve lived in (and I have lived in three different countries and some different cities and towns).
@@RabinoJoe absolutely agreed! Check out my other video where I talk about all the things I love about Houston! You may find we aren’t that different 😄

One of your points you brought up was there was nothing to do….hard to believe that especially with a city that possess 3 major sports teams (although only 1 has been successful in recent years). But anyway are there any places around Houston that plays live music, I’m not talking about concerts, but like small intimate venues similar to what you would see on the strip in Nashville?

When driving in houston take advantage of feeder roads
Most definitely, at least until they get congested too 😅
