This was one of my favorite podcasts, I really enjoy hearing about getting started in farming, it has always been my dream to farm but now I'm too old to get started
I am a 69 year old city boy. Wished I had grown up on a farm. Love your show and what I hear is if the father and son respect each others opinions they will be successful. I worked in commercial construction my whole life and that was the same with all the subcontractors whose sons tried to take over the family business. If the son or daughter was a no it all or dad was to stubborn for change they never succeeded.
The only show I watch! I have 320 archers that is hay. I want to actually farm it, but I have no idea where to start or what equipment I need to buy. So lost
sounds like you have the hardest part(land). our suggestion would be find some older equipment, maybe even borrow, rent, or work off the rent of equipment to figure out what works
My great grandma would tell us grandkids...if you don't learn something new every day, then the day has been a waste.
