Nice stumbling on to this today. They were in top form, even if Richard’s haircut and dance moves couldn’t be more mid-80’s dated. RIP Richie Teeter and Scott Kempner.
Ritchie teeter, what an incredible set of lungs for a drummer. Adny admitted that he didn't totally understand Ritchie and Ritchie felt like he was not a true bloodbrother. Always loved his dark glasses. Dffd.
Probably the most iconic moment of any Ramones song is hey ho lets go. This is a direct ripoff of the Dictators who played the same clubs and were having a speil before the Ramones. I say this witn no disrespect but these guys never got their due. Great rock band. Not punk or metal just rock. Bloodbrothers rules...
They were kind of a jock rock parody type band. Doesn’t seem like they were after fame lol They toured with kiss as an opener but got kicked off as they mocked their opener on one of their shows lol manitoba was out jewed by gene Simmons
I can't believe I've never seen this before. Never mind the quality of the video. It's fine. I've sat through far worse and thoroughly enjoyed them. (I'm a fan of the Replacements, you get used to it). Anyway the eighties were generally shit. It's weird seeing Handsome Dick with his contemporary haircut / odd swinging arm Madonna dancing, and Ross with the horrid cap-sleeve T-shirt. But .. but. The music is still fucking fantastic. Andy Shernoff is a genius lyricist. With a capital G-E-N-I-U-S.
Is there a show where these guys don't kill?! This is great! Everyone is on fire! Surprised to see Mark The Animal join them on stage because Twisted Sister were still kind of big by this point, so it's not like had to and also he's been dismissive of his time in The Dictators in more recent interviews but here he's clearly having fun and loving it (maybe being away from Dee Snider. Ha!) so he didn't seem to feel that way back then.

AC/DC actually opened for the Dictators (once!) when they first went to the US.

I think the quality is awesome! Just add an equalizer for the low end.
