No crackle for me, however, I think your crackle creations work beautiful with your french country decor!! And I learn tons from your videos as Debi's DIY paint is THE best clay paint EVER! Go team Ray! 💗
It is awesome to see things that we did 40 years ago coming back. The names for something s were different, but crackling is the same. I always loved the effect. Beautiful piece.
@Jami Ray Vintage YES good things do always come back around, but "they" usually re-name whatever it is, hiwever Crackle has remained named Crackle!! It's GOOD STUFF😍😍😍
I am team crackle 100000%!! You always make it look sooo easy!!! I just Love you two!!! Thank you for always sharing your amazing inspirations with us!!!
I love it. I remember seeing pieces that had that finish naturally when I used to go with my mom to midwestern farm auctions when I was in college. To teenage me, who grew up overseas with danish modern furniture, it looked like too much work to modernize it. I had seen that finish in France a lot and always thought it meant people were uncaring of their belongings. Now I look at that dresser and can appreciate it. But I can’t have all my furniture like that or it feels like I live in a storage barn. But I love that dresser!
It's so funny cuz I did crackle in 2000 when Ralph Lauren came out with special paint finishes at Home Depot. (DIY is so much easier ) Barn red under a white swan kind of color on the bathroom walls. We trimmed with 100 yr old barnwood as a chair rail. I miss those walls. I'm always in for crackle! ❤
Also you can use spray can of lacquer on spots where you want it ,,,,,,,then let it dry ,,,,,then messy chalk paint ,,, watch it crackle,,,, love your videos , thankyou ,,, great days from,,,,LILLE
No. We live in town so she’s not far. But we don’t have enough space. In fact she’s not even on our land. Our neighbor lets us keep her in his backyard next to the shop
Question, did you let the clear wax dry and then buff before you applied the dark wax or did you immediately apply the dark wax before you buffed? Tia. 🤗 (I hope that made sense lol)
@@JamiRayVintage ok thank you!! I'm working on a few pieces as we speak and I'm kind of new to the crackle and milk paint. Also, do you have any videos where you demonstrate the dark decrepit dust? I actually ordered black wax and the dust because I wasn't sure which look would be the most old looking.

I never would have tried Queen Bee as a base colour. It looks great. As for crackle, I think it depends on the piece and the look one is going for.
Oh I adored the queen bee creation. I’d have bought it just like that, before the white swan ❤
Love the crackle chipiness ❤️❤️❤️Great Job !!!
Team Crackle! But y’all are the BEST TEAM! Great video! Y’all are the best! Thank you so much!

I love layered and chippy but I dont like forced crackle, it looks different from natural crackle.
I like a little crackle.
Love a little crackel however not a fan of the grunge look the dark wax gives . Aways interesting to watch what y'all are up to.
Love it
Team crackle for sure
The cow isn’t at the house? Your store must be a fun place to visit.
No. We live in town so she’s not far. But we don’t have enough space. In fact she’s not even on our land. Our neighbor lets us keep her in his backyard next to the shop
Yes crackle!
Luv luv it
no staging wall inside the shop? the building has so much character!!
Every inch of wall that’s finished has big displays or large furniture pieces already. It has a lot of windows so the wall space is at a premium
@@JamiRayVintage and the other area of the church are not ready for use? i would love to see more video from inside the church.xxoo
@@romancerelics they are all used for warehouse storage. We haven’t done much with the other side

Team no crackle. Love you guys and I usually like your creations but not a fan of this one. I'm sure lots of people will like it though.😊
Question, did you let the clear wax dry and then buff before you applied the dark wax or did you immediately apply the dark wax before you buffed? Tia. 🤗 (I hope that made sense lol)
