This is great, Matt! Really relatable for us athletes who caught the bug later in life. I've played hockey my whole life, and even played high school, but never took it seriously or committed to the level I am now when I picked it up again in my 30's. I know I could've made it further. No matter what, be the best you can be!

Wow. I love this, Matt. Really impressed by your work here!! Incredibly well done. But it’s not only technically well done but it’s a moving story.. I was captivated. I’ve been a hoops lover, myself, pretty much my whole life. Definitely hear you about the difficulty of catching up after a late start but I can see in the present day that you have real ability, and skills developed over time. If you had started earlier, you would’ve played high school for sure, and I think a good chance at college. Fun seeing your bro too. You’re a good mentor to him. I wish you the best of luck in your efforts to set up games with UA-cam hoopers. I have never followed that world but I’m rooting for you.

Thank you bro, honestly means more than you know and I’m glad you mess with the storytelling too. Wanted to showcase not only my skills on the court but also my skills with editing as well. Preciate it again, I just posted episode 2 so if you’re interested in checking that at out as well, it’s there. Much love bro💯🙏🏾

This video is inspiring. Your focus is real and it comes through with how you talk about this dream of yours. You are still young. Stay on the grind and go compete with whoever you can so you can still fulfill that dream in whatever form it takes. Get those reps against others and you can start making those videos out of that. Good luck to you man.

Stay disciplined, when you think you're wrapped up with the day, find something else to practice and ask yourself if you want to go roll into bed and start again tomorrow, or if you're willing to push yourself. Do not let your mind create the illusion you are incapable, or that you did enough. Double down, at least. Keep your head up and focus. You got this shit. "If you're going to try, go all the way, otherwise don't even start." Your sacrifices will breed the change in which you desire. Expect nothing. Rooting for ya

Matt you have any advice for me I’m trying to actually take basketball serious

Hey man, real sorry for not responding all this time, I was looking back on some old vids and just saw this comment. Even though it's been a year now since you commented, I'm not sure where you're at with basketball at this time and if you're still taking this seriously, but just in case you are, I'd say whatever weaknesses you have, work like crazy to improve them every single day. Practice 80% on your weaknesses, 20% on your strengths.
So the first 2 months, take a weakness that you have and spend that whole 2 months improving on that weakness, then the next 2 months, find another weakness and repeat the process. You'll improve a whole lot more being that focused and precise improving on one weakness at a time than trying to improve on all your weaknesses at the same time.
We tend to stick to only our strengths for a while but there will be a time when we got to improve and evolve, so it's best to work on those weaknesses early before you're forced to. Not sure if you're still in school or not and if you are, not sure what grade you're in but conditioning is very very important, don't want cheat that process of getting in shape and so is communicating with coaches to show your interest and willingness to make their team. These are things I wish I did when I was in school. Hope this helps, and my bad again for the late response truly.
