Romain Grosjean’s fire ball crash is def worth a watch. Even though the Netflix series plays up the drama it’s still worth a watch. An absolute miracle that he got out like he did
Yeah, that was horrific!!
ua-cam.com/video/gCivN-b4FZI/v-deo.html this is the full uncut version. Dramatic yes, but shows just how fast the response and rescue was.
I watched it live
@@warailawildrunner5300 Regardless of the speed of the response, Grosjean climbed out by himself! They continued to spray the wreck but they had written him off. I had written him off. You had written him off. If there was a helping hand, it was from the here after.
wouldnt say they play it up, it was horrifying live to see and not knowing if he was alive or dead was awful
Fernando Alonso sounded way too calm describing that crash. "You see the sky you see the ground and the car stops and i get out" lol!
It’s actually remarkably safe for what it is. There has been some recent deaths but they have had so much innovation that the chances are extremely small. Some of these crashes were back before safety was really making large strides. A lot of racing fatalities came from the neck being internally decapitated essentially but they wear something called a HANS device that keeps the neck and body from separating due to sudden stops. There’s also a bar like structure infront of the drivers that keeps their heads from hitting debris or being decapitated by other cars or guard rails or light posts etc.
Just 1 death in the last 27 years...
@@user-of1dd4vk7z in formula one directly however I can think of 2 in formula 2 I guess I should’ve said open cockpit cause although different there’s been a handful in Indy car
@@futurecorpse7330 I love f1 and I understand the safety. I'm also a big rallying fan but I hold the opposite thought for rally. The sense of danger is what makes it exciting. Obviously the basic safety of normal cars like airbags and adding a roll cage but I miss when the fans would stand on the course until the car was 1 second away from them then move off
Internally decapitated is not a phrase I'd ever thought I'd like to never hear again.
The one where you paused up around 7:30 was Robert Kubicka. That was a serious crash, but like most of the time in modern F1, he walked away.
However, not too long after this he had a rallying accident in the F1 off-season that caused life-changing damage to his arm and ended his F1 career. But him being Robert Kubicka, a very talented F1 prodigy of his time, managed to actually get back into F1 just for a season or two several years later at Williams when it was running at the back. Not really a come back and a bit sad to see him as a back-marker, but at that point he's not there to "race" but to help develop the car. Either way, crazy story.
Nah it was before williams were as slow as they are now right
11:40 100 percent. They add a halo for the 2018 with saved Lewis life when he had an incident with Max Verstappen. The tyre almost hit his head and could have killed him. I’m glad they are taking more safety precautions.
Jeremy Clarkson said it years ago
"speed never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you"
There are safetybarriers, crashstructures on the car, plenty of safety systems for the drivers.
This was awesome! I had no idea what to expect either! Those speeds!!! I’ve been watching RALLY races lately (you should check them out!) and that’s crazy but this is something else. Hitting barriers at 200mph …. Man…
And even then, only 4 people have died in a crash !related! to F1 since 1995, only one of those was during a race.
@@Haerunaand now they’re even safer. The Halo, HANS, and who knows how many other things, protect the drivers from all of this
@@EASG55 The most recent proving its worth i belive to be Grosjeans improved fire suit. That thing really got put to its test in that crash. U can kinda se the results in that crash becouse he only suffered minor burns to hes hands and the gloves were the only part that hadent been improved for that year.
@@Shiftry87 believe me. I went to the exhibition they made in Madrid. I saw the car (what remained of it). Very scary shit. And kinda puts into perspective the miracle of how Grosjean survived THAT
@@EASG55 Wait what, they put what remained of the car on display? Yeah sure they cant ever use any of it again but making an exhibition out of the wreckage that sounds like a wierd choice.
Don't worry they're all okay, f1 is extremly safe.
If you're going to react to more f1 i recommend best f1 team radios of the last decade
When you say it’s extremely safe. For some reason I don’t believe you😂.(not a f1 or NASCAR Guy at all)
@@revan5293 there hasn't been a death in a long time
@@revan5293 And the people in the video are perfectly fine, some of them are still driving in f1
@@EL1TEHD1 there's only one fatality on the hybrid era which is jules bianchi, and the HALO is introduced 3 years after his death and it saved a lot of driver's lives including leclerc in 2018, grosjean in 2020, hamilton in 2021, and zhou in 2022.
@@scotcheeP i know
03:50 The lovely voice of Murray Walker... What a F1 legend...
Please more F1 reactions, such an amazing and versatile sport 🤩🤩
I would recommend watching the 2021 title battle - Max Verstappen vs Lewis Hamilton...
And how Pérez and Latiffi took part in SuperMax win
Better than this season. No point watching the rest of the races unless they make verstappen sit out and let Vettel win his last race in the sport as hes a legend and a much better driver than max
13:40 you dont need no 3D glasses for that shot🤣🤣🤣🤣
I feel like a lot of people first react to F1 they react to the sad moments, all I ask is that you make sure to watch the beautiful moments too!
If it helps, the cars are meant to come apart in a crash to dispel the crash energy. They look super scary but all those things coming off is what is supposed to happen.
Definitely check out Romain Grosjean crash his car split in half and caught fire, he did walk away amazingly
15:16 was Grosjeans fireball crash little too much to handle?
Ngl bro that jump scare made me laugh. These wrecks are insane for sure at insane speeds.
The straight line speed is impressive, (around 225mph at max), however, it's the cornering speed of these things which is truly astounding. A driver during certain bends is experiencing 3 - 4G on their neck. (Imagine the weight of your head in a helmet x 4).
The cars have so much downforce created by both front and rear wings, that technically the car can drive upside down on a tunnel ceiling and the brakes have been said to be like hitting a brick wall when applied!
3 times world champion Jackie Stewart said they you're basically a pilot in an aircraft that's been engineered upside down.
09:20 It was a spring from the car in front and Massa took it to the helmet... He was knocked out and stood full throttle... He was out for serveral races, BUT he made a full recovery on that! And even raced in F1 for Ferrari later on...
04:25 Same guy, who went to flip a Merc in Le Mans :)
React to "Ayrton Senna - Godspeed" 👍 Arguably the best racing driver in history but certainly the fastest without a doubt, the most talented raw driving aggression and precision we've seen in motorsports.
Massa be like: man that spring hit me hard
The fireball crash at the night race (Bahrain) that you removed from the vid was heart stopping in real time, I barely took a breath while waiting to hear that the driver (Grosjean) got out ok
ohhh shit matts hopping on the motorsport train too!! i hope you react to more motorsports, maybe do a nascar crash compilation next?
You gotta react to “The F1 2021 Title Battle - Max Verstappen v Lewis Hamilton” by Deej. Video about 9:32 long
Look at the best overtakes in F1
A good thing to remember with these types of compilations is that everyone involved is ok at the end of it all. Also, instead of seeing the start of a wreck and immediately pausing the video, try to watch it through. It will help you to not think of the worst, as you will quickly see the driver get out of the car ok.
6:40 after Robert Kubicas crash must replaced by Sebastian Vettel the 4 Time World Chsmpion
You need to see this one ! , " F1 - Grosjean's Fireball Crash | DRIVE TO SURVIVE "
You know, F1 has had their share of bad crashes.
But as being an Indycar fan my entire life, I've seen some ****** lol
@Kimi Timoskainen Honestly, even the non-oval wrecks in Indycar have been known to go off the rails at times lol
In resume, all the video is "Yo, yo, yo, yo"
I feel bad you could tell that 2006 wreck had him shook.
yea! motorsports are sick...thanks to racing tech...its why our cars are so much safer in modern times..you have to have some ****** to strap yourself into a race car
16:00 Mick Schumacher (Yes son of the famous Michael Schumacher) escaped nearly unharmed!!!
10:30 180 mph at this point in monaco, AT LEAST!!! Perez made full recovery and races for Red Bull next to Max Verstappen these days...
Fun Fact that 2017 Crash where the Track was Soaking Wet It was in Singapore. In the Entire time the Formula One Series has raced on that track every single year there has never once been a Dry Race on that track which makes it one of the Most Difficult tracks to Drive and drivers always expect some kind of crash or carnage to delay the race its almost ineveitable
What are you talking about? 2017 was the very first wet race in Singapore, since it started in 2008. And since then only 2022 has been a wet race
@@Fons.s Dude don't fact check me fact check the Fkn F1 Announcers they are the ones who made that statement while i was watching the damn race.... #FknHistoryBuff
@@Fons.s Okay i went back and reviewed the full race replay my mistake i misunderstood what the Announcer was saying when he said there was a "Safety Car" Every Year Of the Singapore Gran Prix..... My Brain Misread that information as it was a direct result of bad weather conditions..... Gd Nancy Drew's in training i swear.
@@WillGonja safety car every race is true
You may note the position Lewis Hamilton holds in Formula 1. He has seven World Driving Championship titles and over 100 victories. Arguably, the greatest driver ever. He is also very much a contender. He is also the sport's only Black participant.
This is new I like these reactions
Kubica crash was terrible to watch, dude uust flew into concrete at incredible speed, just sudden hit on that was terrifying
"The wall of pain"... Canada
Kubica was badly hurt on this one... 06:30
It harmed his F1 career, BUT he made almost full recovery from this.
Kubica crash is the nastiest crash i've ever seen
Someone proly already explained it but maybe not. The reason the cars flip so easily is A. They are as Light as they can Possibly Design them to be and B. They are so fast the amount of G Force and Downforce created from the Cars power and Design Make it Extremly unstable when it loses control or comes off the ground as with any vehicle of course but in these cars its as easy as one mistake and you can totally lose it like you are seeing in the video. Hell yeah love the content Racing anything suits me. W Vid!
the tires are tethered to the car in today's f1 so they don't bounce around and hit fan or driver
I'd like to see a driver career on f1 like how you're doing be a pro on NHL. React to the best radio messages for some iconic moments and also react to belgium 1998 for the biggest crash ever
13:40 puts things in perspective
LOL notice how Ralph Schumacher's name comes up over and over and over. He was the posterchild for nepotism, only having a ride because of his last name (brother of F2 champ Michael Schumacher). Ralph crashed all the time, had no business behind an F1 steering wheel.
IMOLA in one race have top 1,2 and 3 of biggest
You just jumped over the 2003 accident without seeing it.
The speed of these cars are 200mph+
Looks like you skipped/cut Roman Grosjean's greatest masterpiece, just before he retired.
A little insight into modern F1. You'll only really get TV footage, or at least replays, when they are sure the driver is OK or at least only minor injuries. When Romain crashed, everyone, even lots of the paddock and other drivers were just waiting on news. But after some heart stopping delay, like 20 minutes or so where we did all think the worst had happened, they confirmed he was OK and the replays/discussion started. You won't have all the angles, TV commentary, etc, if the outcome was bad.
Grosjean's car split in half, wedged the monocoque into the barrier, engulfed in a fuel fire and was there for nearly 30 seconds. He climbed out of that damn car and hopped over the fence, jogging to the safety team. He suffered some burn damage, mostly to his hands. However, short of some scarring to his hand and maybe a bit of psychological impact, he's all good and he went straight from his F1 retirement/crash to IndyCar.
Honestly, the whole crash, escape and shots of Romain in the aftermath are something to behold. In your own time, just watch a full video on that crash.
His reaction yo like end
if you havent reacted to nascar's crashes (biggest brutal etc.) or if you dont know it i will recomend doing it cuz they pretty insane to.
Did ya skip some, like at 14:19 ?
7:00 roberts feet where hanging out the front of the cars the end of the crash hard to see in this video but he was lucky to survive
Edit at 8:12 u can see them
Welcome to F1 the world of titans

Pls react to f1 drivers brilliances
Yeahhh F1
"Yo, yo, yo... no, no, no... bro, bro, bro". Some reaction,... broyo.
Definitely... bro lol
Waite till you find out how much the cars cost
You can react to Jules Bianchi crash and the career of Gilles and Jacques Villeneuve
Is Indycar not just as fast or even faster? I don't know, just asking.
You should do Nascar next!
Pls more f1
Scary to watch😢😮

Go watch some top fuel drag racin crashes
less pausing if u just gonna sit and not commentate

In terms of crashes maybe, but to casual viewers the sport itself is far more dull imo
Ur funny

@@lucas_h I mean the crashes
@@dr.dangle98 Ah yeah you're probably right in that regard then, they're far more chaotic for sure
Indycar has MUCH BETTER Drivers. F1 is just pay to play no real good drivers other than Max, Charles, and Vettel. Just facts
Man get OUT of here with that garbage...
Indycar drivers are very underrated by the masses. That's because most people don't know anything other then F1.
Power, Newgarden, Dixon, to just name a few are as fast as the best F1 can offer.
@@xtlm I don't disagree with the skill indycar has; I watch it from time to time myself and am familiar with its drivers. It's still ludicrous to suggest that your average indy driver is better than your average f1 driver.
@@stevenreyna3437 The reason why is because F1 drivers just have to be good in one discipline where as indycar drivers have to be good in ovals both short and super speedway as well road and street courses in cars without power steering. Plus some of the greats from F1 like barichello came over to indycar and got so embarressed he left mid season because he was not good enough. Even someone like grosjean is now in a top team and never produced a good result this year. Just countless examples. But when indycar guys go to F1 they are right up to speed...
@@Kyle86910 power steering and having to drive ovals is not what makes a driver great lol
If you value versatility so much, just look at Fernando Alonso. F1 world champion, WEC world champion, 2x 24h le mans winner, 24h daytona winner, took part in dakar rally with a good result, and was contending for victory in the 2017 indy500 before his engine gave out. There, THAT is versatility
As for grosjean, he was a below average f1 driver. If anything, he is doing better in indy than he was on f1
Then you also have retired f1 drivers or f1 drivers who were out of a job in f1, and then went on to indy car for more success. Unless you insist on a US-centric view, F1 is by far the pinnacle of 4 wheeled motorsport, and is the most desired title out there.
