I feel like WDW is like when you first go off to college or move out on your own for the first time: exciting, so many options, a sense of wonder, but a little overwhelming at times.
Disneyland is like visiting family after being away for a little too long: it’s comforting and welcoming. There’s a few odd relatives that you say hi to because you’re obligated, but overall it’s a comforting experience.
Omg that analogy Amber's husband used to describe land vs world is so right on for how I feel too.
This is the day my husband and I met the two of you. We spoke to you after you were done filming. We were visiting from Nirthern California. Thanks for taking a few minutes to talk to us.
Disneyland for quick service but WDW for sit downs. There's just way more options at WDW.
Thank you Amber! You seem so lovely and I adore your energy. I have only been to DL once and you have me convinced it is superior! My favorite series on here is Taphouse Talks, fantastic job Ryno! You keep excellent company!
I had that dole whip cotton candy at Disneyland! Every year it pops up as a memory I reshare because I love that memory ❤
Both DL and WDW have great things to offer. They are just different. Being a Norcal gal DL is for quick weekend trips that are super busy. WDW is two week stays at a relaxed pace with pool time, monorail crawl etc. Love both of them for different reasons.
Disneyland is actually not that much smaller than the Magic Kingdom. Disneyland is 100 acres and the Magic Kingdom is 107 acres. Not much of a difference. The huge size difference is when one compares the entire Disneyland Resort (500 acres) to Walt Disney World (over 20,000 acres.)
And the number of gated parks as well as hotels and dining choices. 27,000 plus acres.
Mickey's Fun Wheel is really a lot of fun. And the view of the resort is amazing. Even better than Matterhorn. I actually find that very comforting as the sensation of flying off to my doom takes hold.
Perfect timing! We are arriving at Disneyland today!
I was born in San Diego, so I grew up going to Disneyland. Then, when I was about middle school age, we moved to Tampa, so I started going to WDW. While I love WDW, I'll always love Disneyland more. I'm sure part of that is nostalgia, but when I finally went back to visit after having not been to Disneyland for over 15 years, it really did feel genuinely magical.
My wife and I found the cast members extra fantastic at WDW. The DL and DCA CMs were good but in our opinion the WDW are extra magical.
Yes they most definitely had birria tacos before San Fransokyo Square! I definitely had them in 2021.
I discovered them on my last trip and LOVED them so much. It's in my top 3 food options with the Monte Cristo & breakfast Ronto Wrap.
I have only been to Disneyland California adventure twice but my heart is in Disneyworld. Walking on main street usa is like ealking into my own living room. The 4 parks have enough variety to keep me busy for a 10 day vacation. Xalidornia is rops for National Parks Zoos and neaches but Walt Disney World is tops in my world
I was blown away by Disneyland. There is a special feeling there. I still love WDW but Disneyland is the ultimate. Amber I told Ryno how wonderful i think you are. Hope to meet you one day
Love Disneyland. It is fun because it changes up a lot. Disney World has lots to do. Both parks are worth doing. Hope to someday do the international parks.
Because Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth
Those birria tacos have been around at Cocina Cucamonga since before San Fransokyo.
Cheers, Ryno and Amber! Loved your Pluto story, ❤
I also do love the food at plaza inn breakfast is kinda simple, which is great for kids. With the fancier buffets my kids don't eat.
Oh yay I like amber, nice to see her on an outing with Ryno again
As someone who has grown up going to DL and never once been to WDW, I really want to experience WDW. I feel like DL is home but i can have a real vacation at WDW.
Hopefully one day I can afford to go.
I believe that Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana, which began as Santa Claus Land, is the oldest theme park in the United States. It opened in 1946.
I have to whole heartedly agree with Amber the DL pickle is so delicious. They make them in park and you can taste the freshness.
I loved this!
I want to do a Tap House Talks and tell you why Disney World ❤
You know how HeWhoShallNotBeNamed would swoop in with an educated (sounding) business perspective on things when some sort of big executive shakeup was happening? Amber actually sounds educated on so many things, y’all should bring her in for the regular news show sometimes when something bigger is happening! Like after d23 announcements - Amber! ❤
I am not bashing Disneyland, but they do not have an Epcot and Epcot is my favorite park. I’m sure I would like things from Disneyland if I’ve been, but they don’t have a Epcot so there’s no comparison for me. That’s my opinion.
Very good show
So for someone who has been to WDW and never Disneyland….we want to go sometime next year. How many days would we need to do everything and where would you recommend staying? Thank you Ryno I just love watching your content.
Amber!! Make her a regular! ❤🎉
Please tell me where Amber got her shirt. Love it, need it!
Birria has been there for at least 5 years
I went once and I didn't like it. Was October and like 106 and was so busy and crazy and just didn't have fun.
Only liked 2 rides there.
The studios in Burbank was better then Disneyland 🤷🏻😂
They had those tacos for like the last 3 years lol
Do I like DL better, yes. The Walt thing is certainly a factor, but it is also just a much more casual experience. WDW is just much more manic, but every bit as enjoyable in a completely different way. However, as a DVC member WDW is far superior. I will also say that Bengal BBQ is the best quick service in DL/WDW!
Does Amber have a yt channel?
Should change the name of these to Tap house talk over the guest
Meh I’ve been to Disneyland a bunch and I don’t see the hype other than it being the park Walt conceptualized
Ya this whole episode is just bashing WDW if you have to back track that’s bashing you’re just trying to cover your butt…
