+Berri Flood on your own hair, talk yourself through it. Like you are teaching yourself. It will make you feel a little crazy, BUT it's an audible reminder of what hair is where, and what comes next. It helps more than you might imagine!
I’ve struggled with this kind of braiding for years, and my poor daughter has basically only worn her long, thick, wavy hair out, or rarely, in a ponytail. I’ve seriously tried to follow so many other tutorials on French/Dutch braiding, and had pretty much given up. Until I watched your videos. The slow pace, and repetitive descriptions you used for EVERY SINGLE ROW, combined with the calm, even tone of your voice makes your tutorials head and shoulders above the rest. Thank you so much!

I know this is an old video Glamfam but I just wanted to say thank you! I have a 7 year old daughter who could never have pretty braided hair cos i am so useless at hair. Over the years I have watched other people's videos of French and Dutch braiding but still couldn't get it. I watched your two videos and I CAN NOW BRAID!!! I said the exact same thing! I got to where I felt like even though my daughter is clean and wears nice clothes, she still looked disheveled with her long hair just loose and all over the place. I tried and tried for years to learn from UA-cam videos, but was an abysmal failure until I watched Glamfam! He’s such an amazing teacher!!

Hi I just came back to this video to thank you for teaching me how to properly Dutch braid. Before I watched this mine were loose and not very intricate and now my braids look amazing. You explain everything so clearly and gave me some very useful tricks that make my braids absolutely beautiful, and that I can apply to other types of braids ie crown braids, side braids, ect. I just wanted to come back here to say thank you because now I get so many complements on my braids even if they are basic and it's all because of you. Thanks!❤

im a professional hairstylist for (many) yrs lol. ive worked mostly w french braids just mastered the fishtail its hard under braiding braiding diff. in general, but i luv the way u work and teach. ive taugh hair colour but braiding is becoming alot more popular with my clients& all people( im puerto rican so im uaed to them! just never did them?.it good to expand ur talents always learn.. so i love your videos thanx. alot.

I will soon start at the senior high school (I think it is called, I am 15 years old) and I have high enough grades to attend the hairdresser programme, and since I was little I’ve always wanted to be a hairdresser. I can’t wait to start there, and that is why I am so happy I found this channel, so I can get even better at braiding! It is a little hard to force my little sister to let me braid her, but since I am a boy I like my hair shorter and upstyled, and she has like the perfect hair! No bangs and it goes down to her belly button and she is almost 150cm, so she has quite long hair. I really need to get a mannequin though, but it will be so fun to train my dutch braids! I've watched other videos on how to dutch braid and mine were still looking funny. I was putting it under but I was still doing something wrong. I watched this video and immediately tried right after. My braid was looking a lot better. It still needs practice tho. Thanks for posting this and making it a lot easier.

Thanks for the instruction, will come in handy for my kids. Usually just do easy ponytails but they play for a bit and the hair comes loose and they look rather disheveled...braids stay much neater, thanks again 🙏

The hardest part about learning it will be trying not to flip into a french braid somewhere in the middle. It requires you to think a lot more :) I'm working on this with my students right now.

First vid that easily explained how to start the Dutch braid in such a straightforward way, which is where I was messing up on my daughter's hair. Also, I like that u used a mannequin instead of having some poor kid squash their energy to sit for an extended tutorial

Thanks for this. A hairdresser did this for my little girl and she loved it - now I am going to give it a go myself. The only thing is that she has no hair at the top of her neck (she had a brain tumour removed and has scarring there). So I want to stop the braids just behind her ear to let the rest of her hair hang and cover up the back of her neck. How would you recommend I fix the hair if I do that?
