How many acres do you need per year for 1000 hens?
Hey Everett, There is actually a lot of variables that play into this question, such as your own climate and soil health. But as on our farm, we like to figure roughly 2,000 hens on 20 acres for 3 years, before giving those acres a 1-year rest.
